DESCRIPTION
Designed by Newton Arden for Blackwell Technology's droidworks subsidy Blackwell Automata, the V3-G4 (or simply V3, or "Vega" Droid) are heavy combat droids. These droids are large in stature, bulky in mass, and able to bear heavier firepower. These droids have no 'head' like most droids do. Instead their sensors, optics, and all their other essential mechanisms housed in the torso. Like the D3 series, the V3 is also primarily marketed for security use, although these droids are also designed to feel at home in a battlefield environment.

The V3 class droids, like the D3s, are quite versatile in regards to what armaments they can use with proficiency. Although the advertisements and promotional material show them frequently holding standard weapons like blaster rifles; the V3's are also by design effective when used as heavy weapons platforms. V3s are capable of wielding large and bulky weapons like repeater blasters and launchers easily enough too. In combat, the standard tactic for the V3s is steadily advancing forward while beating on the opposition their heavy firepower while on the move.

The V3 droid has armor protection coverage equivalent to heavy armor, although like heavy armor worn by organics, there are some weak points in the limbs joints that aren't covered. To assist in the mobility department, the droid has four jumpets that are able to propel the droid on par with the jetboots armor function, giving it options for either widen the distance or close in. As a heavy combat droid, this droid has physical strength that one would expect, able to deliver heavy blows with it's fists. If it punches someone or something and it connects, it will hurt a lot.

As a precaution, these droids have limits imposed on the AI which inhibits the ability to develop any personality (although this can be removed) and possess a deep-bass masculine voice for intimidation factor. The last thing to note with the V3 is it's protocol when it's rendered unable to fight back, about to be destroyed or disabled. When the protocol is activated, it will activate it's integrated self-destruct system and will begin charging at the enemy at maximum speed on a timer of up to five-seconds. After those five-seconds, the integrated grenade in the droid's torso will explode, destroying what's left from the inside and affecting the area around it on par with a concussion grenade.
LEGALITY
Restricted. Being combat models, V3-G4 series droids require special permits and licensing for ownership in most regions. As Heavy combat models, these droids are more-so restrictive in civilized areas and are subject to heavier amounts of scrutiny and transgressions are punished appropriately.

INTENT
To provide an alternative to the other heavy droid model approved and to once again expand Blackwell's arsenal of droids in addition to further my character Newton as a droid designer. I intend on ICly selling these droids to other characters/factions/whoever with as I did with the D3.

RESTRICTIONS
Personal ownership of a V3 droid would not be easy, but still doable. Characters based on the V3 may be created, but will be subject to increased scrutiny.
