So having recently dived headfirst into the lore and mechanics of this series from world of darkness, I find myself really liking the stuff it has in it. I was wondering if anyone would be interesting in a freeform rp set in the world of darkness universe. There'd be a few stipulations, but as for the setting and factions in this rp, we can hash that out here if interest is high enough.

For those unfamiliar with the setting, Vampire: The Masquerade follows a world in which vampires exist and control the world in the shadows and the night, influencing many of the worlds decisions and changes. There are 13 main clans of vampires, as well as a bunch of other clans, all which trace their origins back to cain from the bible, and each clan is varied and rather unique in their approach to undeath and general creeds and beliefs. If you'd like some source materials, message me on skype and I can send you ome of the books in pdf form.

I'm interested. Played the game once - and always told myself to read the books (maybe it's time I did so!).

I'm intrigued if only by the details; I like long storied histories and lore = P.

Let's be clever and make it fictional. As in, not a real city, as not everyone knows everywhere intimately, while others might.

I could be down for that. But we still need at least a country, just cause. Personally, I kinda wanna do Canada, cause you never see stuff in Canada.

Canada is a difficult but interesting setting. It is one where murdering in the masquerade is much less able to be tolerated, due to canada;s law crime rates. The various scarcely populated areas allow for a lot of werewolves as well, and some places have even struck up peace treaties of sort between vampires and werewolves out of a mutual need to survive in this land. The nosferatu would be very prominent, as would the gangrel, if we went with Canada, due to the massive amount of nature available to them, as well as the underground networks to survive the long summers. It'd be an interesting setting, but if that doesn't appeal to you guys I understand, it seems to be a hard mode for vampires.

I do agree, but what if we do like alaska, upper canada or greenland, where during the constant daylight hours they are hidden but come out durring the longer hours of darkness?

I was thinking a bit lower. Would anyone mind a setting of the Pacific Northwest, United States? I'd like a place with a good mix of nature and cityscape for us to use.

@Talon maara @Megilwen @Cainhurst Crow @Pureblood-Sin
Please remember, that even if it's 24/7 darkness, Vampires still sleep during what would be the daylight hours. It's a CURSE that forces them to do it, just like how everything tastes like ash in their mouth, save for blood, why their hair instantly regrows the next day if they cut it off or dye it...

Just trying to find a location that's suitable. The city can be a made up city, but we can't just make up a country/region we are located in, and it will affect things about the game. People seem really neutral about it, so does anyone else want to throw in a suggestion for a place for this to be set?
