Milo Vemec-Drast

Milo Vemec-Drast (pronounced /'my-lo-veh-mehc-drahst/) is a human male from the planet Serenno who came to prominence for his deeds as a Sith Lord, crime leader, and military strategist.

Biography

Early Life

Born on Serenno, Milo was thrust into a life of royalty. His parents were both high-ranking nobles, though he wasn't in the direct line of succession for anything beside their estates, and they were not the most loving, which is common among noble families. He was raised in a castle by servants, and spent his early childhood living the same life any other Drast was living, whether they were on Serenno, Alderaan, Coruscant, or Kuat. He began sparring when he was 7, with a professional instructor. The instructor was met with criticism from Milo's parents and their friends, their complaints audible during the weekly bingo night in one of the castle's parlors. Nevertheless, his training continued until he was 10, when he was tested for Force sensitivity and taken in by the Sith to train on Korriban. He studied at the academy until graduating, and went on to study astrophysics on Coruscant, his Drast blood ensuring he is allowed to spend a few years doing his own thing before he was thrust onto the battlefield. This was a time of peace, either way, and soldiers were not desperately needed as they are now.

Expedition to the Unknown Regions

He began heading out on expeditions to the lesser-charted regions of the Outer Rim, his fascination with space not sated until he was able to learn in a more hands-on manner. Milo's expeditions all went well, until he ventured off into the Unknown Regions. With a crew of 5 other men, they headed off into the Galactic West, several sectors off from Sith space, in a region known for strange occurrences, from mismatching energy levels to reports of supernovae where stars did not even exist. Some local space-farers feared the area, saying it was home to an ancient being, but most dismissed it as fearful spacers trying to make their lives more interesting. He sought to finally lay any rumors to rest.

He was out on a space walk only meters away from the ship, investigating a crater on an asteroid. He turned to return the samples to the ship, only to find himself on a completely different asteroid, his ship a small dot in the distance. Unnerved but determined, he leaped from rock to rock in hopes of getting back. Somewhere along the way, things went wrong. He missed and was sent flying into space, his EVA suit the only protection he had from the vacuum.

The Drast spent weeks floating through space, until he became delirious. In this state, he hallucinated, having visions of a creature as big as star systems and as old as time. It spoke to him for days, though he has never divulged what it said. The creature ended the discussion by asking him to come to it, only to find resistance. Milo was no weak-willed space farer, however, and it seemed the creature was only manifesting in his dreams because it was too far away to actually have any other control over him. Being a trained Force user, he was able to erect walls in his mind to protect himself from further probing, and was surprised to wake on his ship a day later. His crew said he'd been in a coma for weeks, and he slowly became unsure of whether he'd dreamed the entire encounter or if it had happened. Nevertheless, upon his return home, he began spending more time in Sith space, his focus shifting away from space and on to the dark side and the occult. The Drast's mentality had changed during the expedition, and it was clear he was now an ardent believer of the rule of the strong, though he refused to explain what changed his mind. He was no longer the spoiled Drast child that had wanted to be a scientist instead of a warrior.

Enlisting in the Empire

When the Old Empire defected, he was one of the first to join it, not facing much difficulty considering Serenno was part of it, and his titles remained unaffected—not that he cared about the estate much. Though willing to accept it, he sought out to gain his own possessions, that he himself worked hard to earn, not just inherited due to his name. Thus, his venture into the criminal world began, with one visit to Hutt crime boss Nor'baal Fanth. The two quickly grew to become friends, and together were able to intercept a suitcase of violators during a meeting between smugglers. This was the first of many increasingly ambitious missions together, the slug and the Sith slowly amassing wealth. They stuck to Cantonica for a few months, though were forced to occasionally venture out for resources not available on Canto Bight. Nor'baal was not the only one he interacted with on Cantonica, however. Milo was known to attend many galas, such as the one where he met Eriana Fox, a defector from the Imperial Republic, and the two saw a spark.

He was, however, very active among the ranks of the Empire. Milo lead a campaign to take Klatooine in 500 ABC, resulting in a success. He even partook in one of the missions, where he and fellow Sith Zeven Vizs kidnapped Jabbo Desilijic Demdred, the son of notorious crime lord Basuro Deilijic Demdred. On Korriban, he seemingly made an enemy of Cait Aislinn after taking a picture of her at a Sith event, hoping to later use it as blackmail. Traveling out of Sith space, Milo paid a visit to the Lusty Lekku, where he intended to size up the competition and see what Cait, its owner, was all about. He was, after all, in the process of growing a business of his own, and a Sith was a cutthroat rival to have in the world of crime. As luck would have it, the bar was attacked by the Sector Rangers while he was there, but he managed to emerge mostly unscathed, leaving right before Mandalorians showed, also unknowingly escaping an assassination attempt organized by Cait Aislinn.

He traveled to Mataou with Nor'baal to harvest venom from a ro hypa lizard, where they were accosted by Sith assassins sent by Cait. Mandalorians arrived shortly after, engaging the assassins in combat as Milo and Nor'baal slipped away, lizard in tow. Eager to tell the Emperor of the developments, he traveled to Korriban, where he retold the past few weeks, and ensured the Empire would not turn a blind eye to Cait's activity.

Following Cait's disappearance and betrayal of the Exchange, Milo suddenly found himself free of the constant threat of assassins. Now safe, he continued his business among the underworld while balancing it with his Sith life, and for a few weeks, all was well. It was only when Nor'baal—now leader of the Exchange—put a bounty on Darth Victress that things became eventful once more. Victress had—allegedly—become Cait's master and was set to continue training the woman before her disappearance. This caused Victress to become a target for the Exchange, though not for long. After an order from the Emperor, Milo promptly assassinated his friend Nor'baal and seized the Exchange for himself.

After reporting to the Emperor (and being granted a Nefarious-class frigate) for his deeds, Milo traveled to Cantonica, where he spent a few weeks with Eriana, going on various errands to set up a casino. He grew too busy with Sith business, however, and later traveled again, this time to Hoth. There, he lead a campaign to launch an all-out attack on the rebel base in its mountains. After bombarding it from orbit using the Emperor's fleet, the Empire announced the operation had been a victory and Milo retreated from his side mission on Bespin—which had been meant to be a diversion for any Jedi on the planet.

Milo surprised himself when he chose to willingly cooperate with Darth Victress, and the two spent about a week fetching the parts for two sets of dark armor. After taking the armor from a tomb on Dathomir, the ritual was carried out on Mustafar, and the two were officially done. It was not the last they saw of each other, however, because they were soon assigned to a mission together on Iridonia. Eriana was the third in the trio, and she perked Milo's interest through her shady behavior during the mission. He later found out that she had cheated on him with Victress, and he lashed out against both women, eventually storming off and leaving the ship.

Ascension to Sith Lord

The next few months were spent in solitude, and Milo grew used to it. He met another Drast and got a pet dragon, whom he named Elaerys. Soon after, he was promoted to Sith Lord for his consistent shows of loyalty to the Empire and effectiveness among the ranks of the Sith. He renounced his Drast name as a final show of worthiness and became Darth Parox.

At a party to celebrate his promotion, Eriana Fox showed up hand-in-hand with Victress. In the scandal that ensued, Aadya kissed Parox and the two confessed their feelings to each other.

A few months later, he was hunting a gauntlet with the help of fellow Sith Lord Darth Tagus when its guardian instructed them to fight each other to the death for it. Refusing to kill a valuable person to the Empire, Parox chose to attack the guardian instead. Darth Tagus stabbed him in the heart and looted his corpse. Elaerys took Parox's body and flew off, where she dropped it at the steps of the temple on Korriban.

Personality and traits

Ever since his return from the expedition, Milo has grown to realize that he had been focusing on the smaller, irrelevant things in life, and not truly living. Thus, he has chosen to dedicate himself to a cause greater than him, and no longer fears war, instead relishing the opportunity to be proactive, seeing change as progress. Although raised living the posh Drast life, recent years have seen great change in Milo. While once a fearful and weak noble, he has now turned into a true champion of the dark side, who believes that the strong are required to rule over the weak, lest the Galaxy turn to chaos.

Despite his reluctance to identify as a noble, he can't help but still carry a Serennian accent, along with some interests his Old Empire compatriots might deem "posh." He is still an intellectual, interested in philosophy and sciences, but now they are merely a hobby to occupy his free time, and he focuses instead of strengthening his bond to the dark side or planning another campaign to sweep more worlds into the Empire.

While on other worlds his name would open doors, on Korriban and in the Old Empire it merely establishes a glass ceiling that he must shatter to prove himself to be a true Sith, not a pansy who poses as a warrior. Offworld, however, he tends to make use of the "Drast" name, particularly during business dealings, finding it that it provides him credibility in professional settings. Many bankers, brokers, and the like prefer doing business with a noble who knows the ins and outs of diplomacy.

As a person, he is professional above all, exercising self restraint in social settings and letting loose on the battlefield. He is brutal as a warrior and cunning as a tactician, whether his tactics revolve around combat or diplomacy. Milo is a driven man, fueled by his undying loyalty to the Empire and his dedication to see all of his goals achieved. He lets nothing get in the way of him and his aspirations.

More intimately, he is fiercely protective of the few he loves and cares about—perhaps unnaturally so, if compared with his general apathetic nature.

Powers and abilities

Born Leader — Sciences, the arts, and other noble past times were still rooted in his brain, as was leading, something that flows through the Drast bloodline. Milo came from a long line of rulers, and the dynasty continued with him, the knowledge of centuries culminating to aid him. He spent his life learning how to lead—it would have been foolish to forget.

Force powers — Strong willed and determined, Milo had a great grasp on the Force, and continuously studied so that his connection would continue to grow ever stronger. In his later years, he trained to become more powerful than before, and had dedicated most of his time to reaching his goal.

Duelist — With the reflexes of a trained duelist and a lifelong experience sparring, Milo was proficient with a blade in his hand. He knew to outmaneuver lesser fighters, and how to hold his own against those more skilled than him, traits he had picked up in his training, which began from an early age.

__________________________________________________________________________

Equipment
Clipped either to his belt but mostly hidden inside his sleeve, attached to his right forearm, Milo's lightsaber was his most prized possession, carried everywhere. Next to it, he had another, identical lightsaber to use when dual wielding is necessary or he needed a back-up. He had two sets of armor, though he generally wore his Sith gear on the battlefield and on official Sith business, as well as to events and the like. When undercover as Olin Tisbar, however, he worea set of rogue armor, preventing anyone from being able to distinguish him from the rest of the criminal scum the Galaxy is home to. His two pistols were almost always with him, his violator holstered under his armpit, completely hidden, and his Quickdraw blaster pistol was holstered to his belt, usually hidden at his right side. When undercover, he also had a vibroblade sheathed at his right. He carried 3 frags clipped in hiding.

Firebane
The Traitor's Cure
╔═══════════════════════════╝
╟Type: Drug
╟Culture: Sith
╟Specialization: Sith Sorcery
╟Alignment: Dark side of the Force
╟Common Ingredients: Lilac, gramma,
ro hypa venom, kyber crystal
╟Preparation time: 3 days

"You're a Sith Lord and an arcanist on top of that. It's your job to know, and to think."
— Sith Empress Darth Andruil to Veles. — ⦿

Description

Firebane, known also as wildfire's antidote, tamewater among Imperial scientists, or more disparagingly as traitor's cure was a concoction synthesized in 148 ABY by disgraced former Sith Lord Darth Veles in an attempt to revert the effects of the experimental drug wildfire on Force users and to cure its most harsh withdrawal symptom — the gradual loss of Force sensitivity. It made use of the lilac plant much like wildfire did, which was altered through the use of the Force, then mixed with several other ingredients. The recipe for the antidote was only discovered due to the knowledge gained from a holocron Veles searched for with the help of Malou D'Amaris on one of the moons of Jwilo, made by an ancient Sith Lord who specialized in relevant research.

Veles discovered that by utilizing the energy of a kyber crystal — essentially sapping it of life and redirecting the energy to a lilac plant — the resulting concoction then transferred it to the one consuming it. The kyber crystal loses its color and fades away into the Force, turning into nothing more than a fancy stone.

220

Wildfire's lesser withdrawal symptoms for non-Forceful beings attracted many.
The drug took 3 days to prepare, and it was done through the reverse-engineering of wildfire, then a carefully-crafted list of ingredients of exact proportions as well as an intensive ritual — which created a cure to the effects of only one of wildfire’s symptoms: the gradual disconnection between individuals and the Force. It effectively halts the process in its tracks and, if coupled with a comprehensive rehabilitation regime, can reverse the effects of the damage already done.

Despite preventing the most terrifying of side effects of withdrawal, Firebane unfortunately does not treat the others, such as headaches, vomiting, extreme dizziness, etc. It does diminish their intensity for Forceful beings only because it eliminates the crippling side effects of slowly losing the Force.

It gets its distinct neon green color from the use of shadow magick in its creation, though normal variants can range in color, some white and some red. The antidote is administered through the use of a liquid stored in vials and administered in the oral cavity or injected.

Limitations

Though not a particularly intensive process, the synergizing of Firebane is lengthy, taking three days just like its counterpart, wildfire. The main obstacle, however, is the need for a Sith to perform the alchemy — and one with a lot of experience. If not, or if the recipe is not followed exactly, potential potion-makers can expect a diminished potency of the antidote, it simply not working at all, or death. For example, though normally used in medicine for healing, ro hypa venom can prove to be an ingredient that should not be underestimated; if too much ro hypa venom is added, one does not have to consider what that might do to the body. Likewise, making a mistake in the process of draining the life from a kyber crystal can be disastrous — sometimes even causing the crystal to explode.

Naturally, Jedi are unable to create Firebane as the process requires an individual steeped in the dark side, though Firebane can work on them as well — with varying effects on their psyche and alignment within the Force.

The recipe, as of the antidote’s creation, was not available to the public and the only one to know it was its creator — Veles.

Intent

To have a comprehensive write-up for a resource relevant to several characters and their wellbeing, and to create a counter to wildfire to prevent its use from being too OP.

"Use faults as teachers, you should. Look them in the eyes without blinking. Then, rule you, they will not. Rule them you shall."
--Yoda

Kalin Vandor, also known as Kal was a human Jedi knight from Lothal. Born into a Northern tribe, he was raised in the tundras, where wild beasts roamed freely, hardened by the elements. He was the only son of the village's warchief, and the burden of expectations was placed upon his shoulders from his birth, and his life revolved around strength. The tribe was composed mostly of hunters and warriors, tough and bloodthirsty, and his Force sensitivity was spotted quickly by one of the Guçlu in his village. His parents rejoiced, as neither of them had been gifted in this way and they'd hope their son would be different. He was trained in the ways of the Force, and unlike the weaker tribes in the South, his taught him to use the Force offensively, to fight enemies to the death and accept no surrender. None in his village even knew about the existence of blaster or lightsabers; instead, they fought using massive broadswords or axes, emphasizing raw strength in every aspect of combat.

For his rite of passage at 16, he was taken along for a raid on a rival village, and Gar'rosh fought brutally side by side with the men he had grown up around. His trial was simple but challenging--he was to fight one on one with the village warchief, a hulking behemoth of a man who was renowned in their region for his cruelty and martial prowess. Armed with a broadsword and leather armor, Gar'rosh took down the older orc in a bloody duel that lasted little over an hour. At the end, covered in grime and gore, he embedded the tip of his sword into his opponent's head at last, and returned home a hero on the shoulders of his compatriots.

The tribe never received visitors, as off-worlders never had reason to venture so far North into the dangerous wastes, so Gar'rosh had never seen a non-orc in his entire life until a pirate ship crash-landed in the fields on the outskirts of the village. Awestruck by the different species and complex technology, Gar'rosh regarded them with curiosity but kept his distance, hostile to outsiders as many orcs were. Their warchief--his father--chose to spare them with the promise that they would repair their craft and leave, giving them a week.

Three days had not passed when their village was struck by a brutal raid from three other tribes at the same time, and the chaos that ensued lead to a battle that lasted an entire day. The aftermath saw most of his tribe wiped out, his father executed in the square, and the village burned down, but Gar'rosh, wounded and traumatized, managed to escape, turning to the only ones that could help him--the pirates. Though hesitant at first, he agreed to join them on the condition that they would take him off-world, and he left the atmosphere of Orsimer Prime for the first time at the age of 17. His raw strength and iron will was revered by the rest of the crew, who held him in high regard and taught him things about the Galaxy. He learned to wield a blaster, to pilot a ship, to raid convoys and deceive law enforcement.

He was with the crew for two years before they made a fatal mistake by trying to raid the ship of a Sith. The only one who survived, again, was Gar'rosh, only because the Sith sensed his use of the Force in combat and noted his already-burgeoning corruption--he was the perfect apprentice. Except Gar'rosh did not want to be anyone's apprentice, and he wanted to answer to no one. He resisted from the day he was taken against his will and until the day several months later that he was at last overcome by rage and slaughtered his "master." Feeling no shame, he burned the corpse on a remote world in the Outer Rim and left it there, then wandered the Galaxy for a few months before he realized that, despite his unpleasant experiences with his master, he felt more at home among the ranks of the Sith than anywhere in the Galaxy save for Orsimer Prime.

A P P E A R A N C E & P E R S O N A L I T Y
With skin green as the water in the swamps of Dagobah and eyes like the lava rivers of Mustafar, Gar'rosh certainly looks like the part of an orc that strayed too far down the path into darkness. Whereas most orcs would be opposed to offensive uses of the Force, he has no such reservations, having been raised in a tribe of exceptionally dedicated warriors who were never afraid to play dirty. Though on Orsimer Prime this meant he was viewed as dishonorable, the rest of the Galaxy does not care, and he's content with that.

His village was hated by their neighbors due to their brutality and success in pushing their will onto others. This, in turn, made him a harsh person who does not care about the opinion of others, does not like being told what to do, and would rather die than bend the knee in front of a foe. Though his travels through the Galaxy have somewhat softened his aversion to non-orcs, he still retains the core aspects of his identity as an orc, which makes him fit into the Sith ranks perfectly.

Headstrong and independent, Gar'rosh is a lone wolf who is a perfect example of the average orc. Always willing to get blood on his blade and never flinching in the face of conflict, he pushes through where others are too weak to continue. Not squeamish in the least, he takes great pleasure in mutilating his enemies and pours his emotions into the way he fights, channeling his rage which, coupled with his raw strength, turns him into a hulking brute capable of tearing limbs apart with his bare hands.

He takes great pride in his martial prowess and cares for his weapons, body, and mind above all, dedicating his time to improving them because it is his belief that it is the formula for becoming a better warrior. He dedicates himself to the never-ending search for power, his deepest desire being becoming an unstoppable being who can enforce his will onto others as he sees fit.

THE FORCE ETERNAL

The Galaxy is in crisis. The cold war between the SITH EMPIRE and their foes has grown hotter, and battle rages in worlds all over the Galaxy. In a small, forgotten corner, the Sith are hard at work on Dagobah, with construction having officially begun for a new Sith Academy. As the forces regroup, Darth Veles leads an effort to revitalize Imperial academia.

But all is not well for the Sith Empire's construction crews...

Dagobah is among the Galaxy's purest worlds in the Force, and it has fallen into our clutches. To squander this opportunity would be unwise, and if our cards are played right, we may be sitting on a very valuable asset. As part of the ongoing mission by Darth Veles to corrupt the planet and destroy one of the symbols of light, and in an effort to create a state-of-the-art secret facility to train the Imperial's next generation of soldier, the Sith are building a new academy on Dagobah.

The harsh climate and predatory wildlife have put a damper into our plans, however, and construction crews find themselves struggling to survive, despite the stormtroopers deployed to guard them. It takes the touch of a Sith to remove conflict, and so Darth Veles has strategized a plan of action to ensure the smooth completion of the construction.

SWAMPS AND MAGIC

Hunters and the Hunted — Ask/Self-DM — 2-3 people —NOT STARTED — Dagobah, being an uncivilized and unexplored planet, is home to a great number of various predators--from dragonsnakes to man-eating slugs and everything in between--so it is no surprise that construction crews have had some difficulties establishing a foothold in the region. Despite the best efforts of the stormtrooper regiment assigned, a dozen workers and soldiers have been devoured and 20 more have disappeared in the last two months. It is your duty to take charge of the construction site's defense and secure the surrounding region from the grip of the native creatures.

Durasteel and Mud — Ask/Self-DM — 2-3 people —NOT STARTED — Yet another in a long list of inconveniences caused by the landscape, a shuttle carrying the next group of construction workers has crash landed in the swamps several kilometers away from the site. Without the arrival of these reinforcements, current workers are unable to be relieved of their duties and sent home, and time is of the essence regardless; it's only so long until the wildlife comes knocking. Find the ship, then lead the workers to the site.

Ships and Stations — Ask/Self-DM — 2-3 people — NOT STARTED — Near Dagobah, a secluded space station lays on the Rimma Trade Route. Its strategic position and low profile makes it a very valuable asset for the Empire, and it can serve as a hub for arriving and departing personnel and supplies. Meet with its owners and try to reach a mutually beneficial agreement or simply take it by force. The choice is yours.

The shuttle rocked and rumbled as they tore out of realspace and into the atmosphere, thrusters burning in overtime to get a handle on the ship. Lex held onto the bars embedded from floor to ceiling, pushing his feet into the ground to keep standing. He turned to look at the other Mandalorians. He still couldn't really believe he was doing this. He was joining a side in a potential civil war brewing and he did not have a doubt in his mind that it was the right decision.

"1 minute to landing," the pilot buzzed over the comms, and all the figures in the shuttle seemed to shift in tension as they prepared for landing. Lex wasn't sure how the other felt, but he generally did not prefer stealth. Though he could do it modestly, he didn't find it to be an engaging way to fight. He did, however, recognize the objective of this mission and why it was important.

"Forbid a man to think for himself or to act for himself and you may add the joy of piracy and the zest of smuggling to his life."
-- Suviix Vercos, The Art of Smuggling

Jado Aviss was a human smuggler, bounty hunter, gun-for-hire, pilot, and petty criminal from Lothal. Born into a family of criminals, he spent his formative years assisting and partaking in illegal activities to the extent that a small child can, until he was later formally inducted as an official member as a teenager. Pickpocketing and the occasional petty theft were how he first dipped his toes into the criminal world, and Jado later delved into wider aspects, from speederjacking to lesser heists.

After a job gone wrong put heat onto his entire family, Jado was forced, just like the rest of them, to flee off-world and try his luck out among the stars. Quickly finding he had a knack for piloting and enjoying the newfound freedom, he soon set down roots in the Outer Rim, mostly operating in Syndicate space but occasionally venturing out to various locations throughout the Galaxy for more lucrative opportunities.

He dedicates himself to the never-ending search for power, his deepest desire being becoming an unstoppable being who can enforce his will onto others as he sees fit.

Is that how Malou felt? It wasn't something he'd given much thought, but it also wasn't like he hadn't thought about it at all. It would be a nice thing going for him, but his drugged up brain was not capable of weighing out the pros and cons of entanglements like that as a Sith Lord. Who knew when he'd be forced to sacrifice a loved one to summon an ancient spirit or something?

Cairo spoke up and Veles laughed out loud. "I'm pretty sure he looked like a shriveled dick because of the other stuff and not the cloning," he noted, feeling a slight sense of despair as he considered that he won't always look good. "But I can just mirage it, I guess."

His brows furrowed as Cairo kept talking, a smirk gathering on his lips. "25 is old? Gray fox? I am in the prime of my youth!" He caught the baggie and prepared the line on the counter. Veles had just snorted his line when a large mass appeared, covering him with its shadow, and his eyes darted up to see Altair was there. To his horror, the tiefling unbuckled his pants, and Veles did not stick around for the rest. He raised himself back up straight.

"Altair, I think you got the wrong urinal." He turned and moved closer to Cairo to give the Acolyte space. Last thing Veles needed was to get pissed on. "More power to you, man," he added over his shoulder. If Cairo wanted to do his line, he'd have to bend over the counter and snort it mere inches away from Altair's stream as it freefell into the sink, and so Veles watched curiously.

"We take what we desire because we can. We can because we have power. We have power because we are Sith."

-- Sith proverb

Luc Vale (/l-oo-k v-ey-l/) was a human Sith Acolyte from the Imperial stronghold, Dromund Kaas. The only son of a military man and his wife, his upbringing was focused around preparing him to follow in his father's footsteps. Surprisingly enough, he had a relatively loving family, who raised him to be independent and confident. On a diplomatic trip that was not meant to be anything special, their ship was intercepted and boarded by anti-Imperial insurrectionists in the Outer Rim, and in the ensuing conflict that followed, his mother was killed and his father executed. Being just a teenager, he was unable to defend himself and he was taken in against his will, kicking and screaming the entire time.

It was then that his Force sensitivity made itself known for the first time, manifesting as flames erupting from his palms. He burned one of the soldiers to death before they stopped him, and Luc was held in a cell for a few days as the rebels considered their possibilities. They were not equipped to hold him, especially not once he could get a bearing of his powers, so they resolved to send him to the Jedi Order, who may be more well-equipped to deal with the young Imperial.

Of course, he never got there. A Jedi came to see him, and tried to sway him, but Luc was steadfast that he wouldn't come. Under the cover of night, he sneaked out and hitched a ride back to Dromund Kaas, joining the academy to hone his new skills.

A P P E A R A N C E & P E R S O N A L I T Y
Angular but well-built, Luc's features are striking and prominent. With high cheekbones and a prominent jawline that's partially hidden by locks of long raven hair, the first thing those that saw him tended to note was just how much he took after his mother. Nearly the spitting image of her, he also inherited her rational, reasonable thought process, though sometimes tainted by his father's tendency to shoot first and ask questions later.

Before his parents' demise, he was outgoing, intelligent, and determined, hopeful to make them proud. After the tragedy, the grief was difficult to push through, and it left him with afterthoughts that keep him up at night sometimes, manifesting when he least expects it.

DESCRIPTION

The Dathomirian Sunset was an Upsilom III class shuttle owned by Veles. Built after his success in the negotiations with Sluis Van Shipyards, the craft stands out in no other ways from others besides the personal touches and design choices made by Veles. The common area serves as a lounge with a massive couch, holoprojector, huge holoscreen, several game consoles, and decorated with various paintings of Imperial victories or ancient sorcerers, in between band posters and the occasional protective trinket. There are several rooms on the ship, one large one that encompasses the entire lower level of the ship, as well as a few smaller ones above for guests.

Serving as his house, the shuttle is teeming with his possessions, which makes it perhaps his most valued possession. It is piloted by two droids; the pilot is Z-3PO, a 3PO model outfitted with an add-on for flying, while his co-pilot is E-4UM, a 4UM series. Together, the two serve as Veles chauffeurs and manage the ship when he is too busy to or simply doesn't feel in the mood.

LEGALITY
Restricted. The Upsilon III are classified as military weapons under Galactic law, and are subject to extra licensing requirements and increased scrutiny by authorities. Additionally, they are restricted to characters in the Sith Order, or Sith Order aligned characters.

INTENT
Write up for Veles' shuttle

Sith Academy on Dagobah
in the Dagobah System
╔═══════════════════════════╝
Type: Location
Affiliation: Sith
Location: Dagobah
Builder(s): Sith Empire
Built: 147 ABY

"After? An academy, I think. On Dagobah.”
— Darth Veles to Aadya Rasheer — ⦿

Overview

fantasy-temple-dark-skull-wallpaper-preview.jpg

Hidden by the trees, the Academy on Dagobah was a secretive facility where the darkest of the Galaxy learned.
The Sith Academy of War, Sorcery, and Espionage, known also as the Academy of Three, Imperial Academy on Dagobah, or SAWSE was a Sith educational facility built in 147 ABY by then-Darth Veles. Founded with the intent to corrupt the planet's pure Force nexuses, it also featured three colleges for the Imperial youth from ages 6 to 18: the Academy of War, the Academy of Sorcery, and the Academy of Espionage. Being divided into specializations from an early age, the students are trained for most of their life to be perfect at what they've learned, thus raising very formidable warriors, sorcerers, and spies. SAWSE alumni have been known to join the Imperial ranks, becoming the next generations of Sith Champions—each skilled in a certain honed art.

It is notably the only Sith Academy to have a school just for sorcery, and using a curriculum crafted by Darth Veles during its inception, SAWSE is the only Academy to consistently produce a steady supply of the most skilled arcanists to walk the Galaxy.

The construction process was not easy; construction workers were being devoured by the wildlife and crashing in the swamps, but the Sith were deployed to remedy all outstanding situations, and the system was secured. It opened its door in 147 ABY. Due to the secret nature of the Sith presence on Dagobah, the Academy was not built to sustain a great number of learners, as that defeated the point of any secrecy. Thus, it became a relatively exclusive school which tended to stay out of the public eye, making it a favored location for growing ISB soldiers.

Facilities

artworks-000140121123-xrzatt-t500x500.jpg

Although underground, the Academy was cavernous.
There are three colleges, or schools—the School of Sorcery & Alchemy, the School of War, and the School of Espionage. Each was represented by a symbol—the Crystal, the Sword, and the Scalpel, respectively. Also sometimes referred as Houses, due to the separate dorms, they housed students from intake to graduation, essentially shaping their entire worldview and training them every day for a decade. Students are taught a varied number of subjects, also divided by houses.

Naturally, there was competition between the different Schools, and it was a perfect way to raise competitive, ambitious Sith. Situations arose sometimes due to the rift created between colleges, but the Academy generally prevented any altercations, only having as many as any other school.

”The school of Sorcery & Alchemy, represented by the Crystal, guides a young arcanist’s hand with a disciplined and comprehensive curriculum, educating them on things like: Sith sorcery, alchemy, general Force usage, specialized Force usage, and many others, such as courses on the Dark Arts and Imperial history. The School of Sorcery raises the Empire’s next intellectuals and fearsomely powerful sorcerers.

The School of War, represented by the Sword, uses a strict military upbringing to raise future Sith warriors, instilling within them a routine that will shape their thought process—paving the way for their greatness after graduation. Future Sith warriors will be learning lightsaber combat, military tactics, acrobatics, general fitness, usage of the Force for enhancement of the body, along with other general classes.

Finally, the School of Espionage, represented by the Scalpel, produces the Empire’s most refined and cunning assassins, spies, and Inquisitors. With education in mental fortitude, diplomacy, critical thinking, forensic science, economics, and subtle stealthy uses of the Force, students graduate with a preparedness that they would not anywhere else.”

— Introductory pamphlet, page 2

Students were trained in the martial arts from an early age through sparring and later dueling.
Although Houses generally studied separately, there was sometimes intentional overlap, such as students of one specialization studying specific courses in another specialization or inter-House activities and tournaments. For example:

Espionage students take War courses on anatomy to learn the vulnerabilities of the human body, as well as at least one course from the School of Sorcery on poisons, though students have been known to choose several more, generally dealing with specialized uses of the Force.

War students learn mental fortitude from the School of Espionage, though as with other Houses, there are overlaps with electives.

Sorcery students take War classes to sharpen their skills at using the Force for enhancement of the body and dueling.

The Academy was built underground to protect from detection and the harsh Dagobah climate; during the wet season, the swamp's banks flood and they are forced to stay in the Academy for 6 months. Nevertheless, this ensured that there was absolutely no chance of being spotted.

Intent

To have a comprehensive write-up for a location that is to be built through a mission pack and will probably be referenced.

-- ⊳ Sith Empire Making Moves!
| Investigation around Emil Ro's death still ongoing | Bantha Chasers up 30 points on league tables |
After the title screen, Jako swung right into the thick of the report, not mincing any words and not wasting any time with the usual. This was a big story to break, that it seemed other news stations had not been keen to take. It was all the better for them. Maybe people really were too afraid of the Empire to smear it live on the holonet. But Jako Kuranabe? He simply did not care. Suited up, looking better than ever, Kuranabe was back at it again on the holonet to inform the Galaxy's citizens of what was going on in the Galaxy around them. It was his journalistic duty. "Sources on Dromund Kaas confirm that the Imperial Council--which has been seemingly missing for some time--are indeed dead. More interestingly, it seems they have been killed at the order of Empress Andruil herself. Reports of a charred corpse being carried through the halls of the Imperial base are yet to be confirmed, but correlate with one another. If we are to believe they are correct, it would mean that the Empire had just committed the biggest purge in a faction's leadership perhaps since the days of Sidious." He turned to look at the other camera and it locked on him. "With a track history of leaving worlds burning as they tear through the Galaxy, the Imperials once again shock the public by the greatest example of undemocratic barbarism that has happened in the governing of any large Galaxy-spanning territory. In other news, the Sith have launched an invasion Yavin IV, which was thwarted by the Jedi Order and the Imperials sent running. Those on Lothal were not so lucky, and what little Jedi defense there is on the world seems to be actively engaged in combat with the Mandalorians--but it's not looking good! In these trying times, the best we can do is look up at the night sky and pray that we will never one day see a Star Destroyer tearing out of hyperspace above our homes." Aaand cut. Jako rose from his chair as chatter broke out through the studio. He pulled his datapad out of the pocket of his suit jacket and got to scouring the holonet to see what the audiences had to say about his scathing report. [/justify]
