Vanguard of the Legion

History
While the Legions of Lettow dwelt beyond known space they were not so unwise as to have no connection to the Republic whatsoever. For generations Sith descendants masqueraded as simple workers, businessmen, civil servants and even Jedi within the Republic gathering information and preparing the galaxy for their masters’ return.

In recent generations the group of hidden Sith turned their attention towards the Corporate arena believing it the perfect way to gather funds and organise themselves in expectation for the day the Legions would reveal themselves to the Galaxy.

During the rise of the Empire this group founded the “Universal Shipping Corporation” which soon became a high profile cargo transport company thanks to the founders’ connections. Within a decade they were deeply linked to the military complex and, unofficially, to slaving operations towards the Outer Rim.

The leaders of these groups came from prestigious Sith Bloodlines and the four most powerful acted as executives of the company. Some lower ranked businessmen on the company payroll where inducted into the Sith teachings although were never considered anything more than Cultists by the four.

Following the fall of the First Order, the Executives began ramping up their operations and needing agents they could trust; they purchased a large number of slaves, mostly from Nar Shaddaa markets and Zygerrian slavers.

The most promising were trained by the Executives themselves whilst lesser Cultists trained those weaker in the Force. Often the slaves would be thrown together to “spar” with serious injury being encouraged. Those who impressed the Executives were granted new names and implied to be closer to becoming true Sith than the others.

In truth however the Slaves were never intended to become Sith. Humancentric and afraid of losing their property they never taught the Slaves the true meaning of being Sith and intended these Dark Side servants to be nothing more than tools.

The Vanguard had made a crucial miscalculation however. When the Sith Eternal returned to the Galaxy it was not the Legion of Lettow that they had been expecting. This new Sith Order instead granted all the trained servants of the Executives a place within the Order.

After this the four Executives were either killed or simply vanished at the hands of their former slaves. An act that the Order turned a blind eye to as it was suspected the old Legion Cultists seemed somewhat unwilling to follow the new Order. After this the former slaves set out to find the lesser Cultists and freed their slaves too in an act of vengeance against their former masters.

Considering the purpose of the Vanguard they no longer have any worth to the Sith Order since their return to the Galaxy. Regardless with the death of the Sith Masters and many of the Cultists the group and their public Corporate Company has largely collapsed.

Executives - Sith Masters
The four Humans descended from a long line of what they considered to be “True Sith” were the leaders of the Vanguard and the public executives of the Order. The last four where:
  • Tarsus Krast - Sith Warrior. Murdered by Kor’ez
  • Sovrawn Cresh - Sith Assassin. Assassinated by Chom Doneeta, formerly known as Kharnas
  • Adas Tyras - Sith Sorcerer. Assassinated by Chom Doneeta, formerly known as Kharnas
  • Ishla Vash - Sith Sorceress. Vanished without a trace

Senior Management - Cultists
Force Sensitive businessmen recruited by Universal Shipping for high ranking supervisory roles whilst being inducted into the Vanguard Cult. Trained in only the lesser aspects of Sith Lore these Cultists were considered disposable by the Masters. Like their superiors many were slain by the freed Slaves.
  • Tobias Dornforth - Sith Cultist with the largest number of Slaves under his purview. Killed by Quyne'afa.

Slaves - Dark Side Adepts
Force Sensitive slaves were purchased by the Sith Masters and their underlings to help with their operations to make way for the coming of the Legion. These slaves were broken up into two groups. The promising who where trained by the Masters and the less promising who where given over to the Cultists. Trained in the use of the Dark Side, usually mostly it’s combative elements, they were never shown any deeper Sith Lore. The purpose of these Slaves was to be tools for the Legion.

With the coming of the Sith Eternal the high profile slaves of the Masters were freed and they, in turn, set out to free their brothers and sisters trained by the Cultists.
  • Kor'ez - Sith formerly owned by Tarsus.
  • Chom Doneeta - Sith turned Jedi formerly owned by Sovrawn and Adas.
  • Quyne'afa - Sith formerly owned by Tobias.
  • Elav'aluroon - Sith formerly owned by Ishla

Intent
To provide some lore for the slave origins and training of @Kor'ez @Chom Doneeta @Quyne & @Xiann's future Sith character. Also to leave open for if any other future characters want to be linked to this in any way.

Hey @Lazy Swordsman, so unfortunately this really doesn't fit with the the actual history of the Sith/Legion.

Probably the biggest is that until the Eternal came to the Legion (in 104 ABY), the Legion was not Sith. It was only at that point that they gained knowledge of the Sith, how to build lightsabers, etc. and came out of isolation. They really had no connection to the galaxy before that.

If you want to stick with this idea, I might suggest making the Executives independent DS users who left the Legions/unknown space generations ago and had no connection to the Legion, but they also wouldn't have been Sith either. From there, the PCs produced from this organization could have reconnected/been recruited by the actual Sith when they emerged into the galaxy.
