B I O G R A P H Y

Upper Levels, Axxila​

A scion of the prestigious Altaris family, Veer was born on the Outer Rim world of Axxila during the Force Eternal Era, growing up amongst the glittering spires and extreme wealth that dominated the upper echelons of the ecumenopolis world. As the oldest son of Qadar Altaris, Veer was raised alongside his first cousins within the confines of their familial estate - playing and studying together for the majority of his childhood. He developed a particular close, sibling-like relationship with his cousin Jaikus - one that would linger for most of their upbringing.

While his cousins were groomed to assume control of the familial estate and position or aligned for political advantageous marriages, Veer was left to live a largely responsibility free upbringing- his every want and desire catered to by the wealth and privilege of his family.

In an effort to provide a more disciplined life and keep the Altaris out of trouble, Veer was shipped off to one of Axxila’s premiere military academies at the age of eighteen - setting him up for a life of military service and officership within Axxila’s Planetary Defense Force. It was during time as an Academy student that Veer developed a proficiency as a Marksman - a skill that he has developed as a point of pride in the years since. Upon graduation, Veer enlisted as a specialist within the Axxilan Military - gaining a reputation via his exploits as an effective sharpshooter.

As a result of his military career, Veer was thrust onto the front lines of the civil war that tore across Axxila - bitterly fighting for the Sith-aligned militia across multiple levels of the ecumenopolis. And for all of his efforts to help tip the war in the Sith’s favor, the Axxilan was helpless to prevent the mob-assassination that claimed the lives of multiple members of the Altaris family - his own father murdered alongside cousins and other distant relatives.

Devastated by the loss, and resentful towards the Sith for what their loyalty had done to his family, Veer turned his back on the Empire and the loyalist members of his family - abandoning an opportunity to serve within the IAF to instead permanently operate as a Bounty Hunter within the Outer Rim - gradually taking up the alias of ‘Viper’ over the months.

Despite achieving middling success as a Bounty Hunter, Veer’s resentment towards the Sith only grew with every headline and development in their war with the FWA - watching from a distance as their tyranny continued to spread across the wider Galaxy. Unable to sit on the sidelines any longer, the Axxilan has begun working closely with the Resistance in recent months - doing his part to build the movement from the ground up to challenge the Empire.
