The New Republic teeters on the brink of being absorbed by a fast-growing Consortium. The Free Worlds Alliance grows smaller by the day as it is ravenously devoured by the growing Shadow of the Sith Empire. The once revered and exalted Jedi Order lies tarnished. The galaxy is ripe for the picking, if the ambitious would only reach out and pluck it from its seedbed.
Nahri Nalju has returned from self-exile to claim the corporate dynasty that was stolen from her. She has drawn first blood. The assassins who were sent to kill her and prevent her from taking back her father's gem have been felled. But now it is time for revenge. And what better way to take vengeance on those who have wronged her, than to take from them what they had originally stolen from her?
But this operation cannot be done alone. She will need to employ the considerable wealth she has inherited from her family and forge a host of connections both in the corporate world and in the underworld. Because when it comes to taking the gilded thrones of the corporate world, there is no hand that is not dirty.
THREAD #1 — TO THE VICTOR GOES THE SPOILS
Nahri is not above unleashing the criminal element when it suits her. So, she (anonymously of course) "leaked" the locations of some of NalTech's shipping routes and refueling points to the Syndicates. Her intentions are obvious and simple: disrupt the supply routes, steal anything you can find. This particular shipment has a few dozen N-series Blackhawk security droids onboard. Perfect for any criminal organization looking to expand its security. Win-win? This thread is open to Syndicate, bounty hunter, and other criminally-aligned characters.
Note: There can be two of these threads if there is enough 5S interest.
THREAD #2 — DO YOU FEEL IN CONTROL?
The board members who killed Nahri's father, mother, and siblings like to vacation in Sith space. Specifically Lianna. The villa they operate in is heavily guarded, but Sith go where they please in the Empire. Nahri Nalju cannot operate here. But Vex can. Her alibi checks out. These corporate thugs have been laundering credits. They may have even been transporting illegal drugs across borders, and everyone knows how much the Empress hates 'Wildfire'. So, Vex and any Sith loyal to the Empress' desires will go and... deal with them. And if Nahri Nalju should, by some coincidence, benefit from this? Well, all the better. This thread is open to Sith characters.
THREAD #3 — SHAREHOLDERS LUNCHEON
Corporate takeovers (unfortunately) cannot be completely bloody affairs. There is a financial aspect to them too. Vex will have the problematic board members dealt with, but that won't completely hand the company back to her. She will need to buy up enough shares in the company to become its CEO—a costly endeavor. But the galaxy has many individuals looking to get involved in the corporate sector. Maybe enough to lower the cost so that it's not a completely costly endeavor. But this job is one Vex cannot do. Her mask, Nahri, will be needed if she is to court the galaxy's most wealthy.
Note: This thread is more negotiations than action. To get interested characters to buy shares in NalTech, lowering the amount Nahri would need to buy up to become its CEO. All characters interested in owning stock in an arms/droids company are welcome in this thread.
There will be thread rewards for helping to complete these missions. Participants in the firs tthread will be able to keep the spoils of their piracy for their criminal faction of choice (must be a faction, though, not individually owned).
Participants in the third thread will literally have a stake in the company and will have their characters benefit financially as the company begins to grow and become more profitable.
All participants will be looked upon as "favored customers" once NalTech is back in Nahri's hands and will get easier access to Restricted Tech I post for their respective characters/factions.
