DESCRIPTION​

The vibro-shiv. The weapon of double-crossing, slimy, depraved scum across the Galaxy, an arm that you will find among the lower levels of Coruscant just as you would find it on Nar Shaddaa or in any prison inside and outside of civilized space. Smuggling in a vibrating device may have once been difficult, but what the vibro-shiv lacks for in size, it makes up for in how easy it is to make. The device necessary for this is tiny, and serves to operate blades up to 4 inches, though bigger vibro-shivs have been reported--as if those are not really just daggers.

The device is therefore easy to come by and smuggle through security screenings, which makes the vibro-shiv a very reliable weapon for those who will get patted down. It even fits in your boots! A metal detector test will likely detect it unless otherwise customized to prevent it.

The vibro-shiv packs a mean punch despite its size. The high-frequency vibrations can make a blade cut slash through flesh with just a jab, and can sever whole limbs with a more dedicated and direct hit. It is quite clearly much more powerful than a normal knife its size, essentially making it as good as a vibro-sword, just shorter.
