Vidha's Mandalorian Armor

This set of armor was made for Vidha when she gained the rank of warrior. Her sigil is the badger of Clan Solus. Her armor set consists of a Beskar helmet and durasteel pauldrons, armored boots, knee covers, thigh guards, gauntlets, a chest plate, and an armorweave skirt.

LEGALITY

Mostly legal wherever she goes since she is a Mandalorian, so long as she doesn't attack civilians without reason.

INTENT

The intent of her armor is to protect vulnerable parts of her body.

RESTRICTIONS​

The restriction of her armor is that it can only be worn by Mandalorians. She can also never remove her helmet unless she is completely alone.

Type and Coverage

Type: Medium/Heavy Armor

Coverage: (Coverage regions for Light armor is 1-3 regions, Medium is 4-5, Heavy is 6-7)

• Upper Arms: Durasteel pauldrons
• Lower Arms: Durasteel gauntlets
• Upper Legs: Thigh guards and armorweave skirt
• Lower Legs: Armored boots with ammo belt on one leg

Functions​

Function 1: Rebreather

• Rebreathers allow for a person to survive underwater or in space for brief amounts of time by scrubbing CO2 from their exhaled breath. Generally this lasts for 3-4 posts, but heavy exertion can shorten that time.

Function 2: Thermal Undersuit

• Thermal undersuits wick away or reflect thermal energy for brief periods of time. They are not nearly as effective as a suit that firefighters would wear. Most commonly used to protect soldiers from flamethrower weapons or short bursts of extreme heat or cold, and are only good for 1-2 posts of exposure depending on intensity. They are useless against blasters.

Function 3: Grapple Line

• Grapple lines are capable of supporting the weight of 1-2 people and can launch up to ranges typically up to 15 meters away. Once no longer in use, they are detached from the launcher and left behind. While hand-held grapple guns are capable of auto-winching, armor or wrist mounted devices lack this ability. Grapple lines must be manually activated and controlled by a button or switch.

Function 4: Bola Launcher

• The gauntlet bola Launcher is a useful addition to a bounty hunters arsenal. Single shot, takes several seconds to reload, and has a max range of 25 meters. A successful hit tangles a foe in a strong durasteel wire to slow down or even capture the target.

Function 5: Armorweave Accessory

• Most often in the form of a heavy cape, skirt, or underlay beneath armor, armor weave provides some protection against the penetrating effects of shrapnel from explosives and other unpowered high velocity impacts, with only a small amount of bleed through damage (bruising or very minor wounds). It offers no protection against kinetic impact or energy, vibroweapons, or similar "powered" weapons.
