Ever since Dark Knight I had a feeling it'd be Catwoman. Bane is an interesting choice, though.

I'm thrilled about Catwoman, but not so much about Bane. I really wanted Riddler.

Finally, this whole Riddler speculation can be put down.

I wouldn't have wanted The Riddler. TBH I'd have preferred them to recast the Joker, or have him as a character that isn't seen and make Harley Quinn the big enemy.

Catwoman's okay. Bane- I guess we'll have to wait and see.

I'm excited that Tom Hardy will be in it, I think he is a great actor. Plus, not to spoil Inception for those of you who haven't seen it, but he definitely wins the end of that movie.

I'm happy with this. Catwoman was a prediction ever since Morgan Freeman's character had the "It'll stop a cat" line in Dark Knight. Also, I vaguely recall reading that this would be Nolan's last Batman film, so it'd be nuts to include Selina Kyle and not have her as Catwoman.
Which is why I'm puzzled by the wording of the press release.

Also, is anyone else praying that Nolan emulates Bane's first story arc, and has him cripple Batman? I know it won't happen, box office etc, but my god, how AWESOME would that be? And It's totally Nolan-esque, to essentially kill off batman.

I was still hoping for a Penguin, Hush, or Prometheus.

I'm really bummed Nolan is only doing a trilogy as I would have loved to see some sort of incarnation of Robin and thusly the Red Hood.

Catwoman may prove to be boring, oh well.

Amen, I really hope someone else takes over the franchise in the future.

Obviously someone will take over the franchise.

Nolan doesn't own Batman. DC does, and Warner Brothers owns the film rights. They're not just going to not make another Batman movie just because Nolan won't be doing it again.

And unless TDKR somehow ends up sucking really badly, they won't reboot it either.

I really hope this is the end of this particular incarnation if it's going to be Nolan's last time helming it. Honestly, just about anyone else is going to **** it up.

Of course you're going to see another Batman movie in the next 50 years.

DC and Warner Brothers wanted another Batman movie before 2012. They didn't want to wait 4 years like they are now, but they're doing it anyway because they wanted Nolan and, therefore, worked off of his schedule. If TDKR is a commercial success, which, after TDK, is a foregone conclusion, the wait between TDKR and the next Batman movie will probably be shorter.
