Viridian entered the room, she was nervous, today she would be starting her training to be a Jedi Knight. Breathing in deeply she found her centre and prepared for her new master to enter

*Kyle walked in, looking shabby as ever, but looks were always deceiving. His hair tousled, hands rough and fingernails dirty, clothes looking like they had been washed one too many time: this was surely not the look of a Jedi Master, was it? But it was. Oh yes it was. This was Master Kyle Stellar, and he needed some new clothes.*

door swooshes open

"Good evening. My name is Kyle Stellar."

*With a moment's notice, he bowed. Principle greeting of a Jedi, and just good manners as well. So now, Kyle's formalities were over. Time for his newest Padawan to show him some respect, and they could move on, or he would have to earn the respect around here.*

Viridian returned the bow "good evening master" she kept her head low, just as she had done in her service in the Naboo palace "I'm Viridian Sheenda"

"Nice to meet you Viridian. Now...before we begin training, tell me about yourself, and I will tell you about myself. And you can drop the formalities. The titles in the ranks are Jedi are useless in my own teaching methods."

*Kyle smiled warmly back as he studied his Padawan. She seemed like a normal child, nothing above or below the standard girl. All that was different was that she had a stronger connection to the Force, and it was Kyle's duty to strengthen it and make sure she would use it in the positive way.*

She hesitated for a moment then said "nice to meet you Kyle" though there was still some formality to this "I'm from Naboo, I was raised in service to the palace in the gardens. I have a natural empathy to people and nature in general, for a long time I was content serving in the gardens of Naboo and using the force for simple tasks to aid me there, but an attack on the palace showed me I have a duty to serve others with my gifts with the force"

"So you have a purpose that you've joined the Jedi. And you have a delicate sense with the Force. Now, I am just a Jedi Master...and my name is Kyle. Been a Jedi all my life, and so far, so good."

*Now, Kyle sat down in a meditative position. He motioned for Viridian to do the same.*

"Please, sit down and meditate. Let your mind flow free and become centered about the Force."

Viridian sat as motioned and began to meditate, she wasn't sure if she was meant to be looking for something she just opened herself to the force, her breathing was light, she was calm, ready for her next instruction

"Can you feel it Viridian? Can you feel the Force flowing through you? What does it feel like?"

*Kyle could feel the Force flowing through him. He knew what the Force felt like, he knew what it was, but could his Padawan. Could his Padawan describe the terrifying yet gratifying powers that the universe had granted her?*

"It feels like I'm a tree" she replied "I have my roots connecting me to the force and brances spreading out high, I can feel life all around me as I support them and they support me, just like a tree in a forest"

"Very good! I feel the Force as a river, flowing throughout the universe, but connecting me with everything."

*The girl was a natural with the Force. Something Kyle liked to see, and her interpretation made her seem very down to earth. Her relation with a tree must have meant sturdy characteristics and strong roots, unlike Kyle who flowed with the river and let it carry him wherever it may lead.*

"Good. Now...I want you to embrace the Force, and let it become your outreached hand and sense the things around the room. What is in this room?"

Keeping her eyes close Viridian outstretched her hand "I can feel us" she said "I can feel the walls, the floor, the ceiling" she did not move but allowed the feelings to come to her "I can feel the funtiure and all the big things" she went on "but I can also feel the small things, that little things in the air that are not significant to the eye but have thier place in the force, little specs, almost unable to be sensed but still there"

"Good. You can sense the objects in the room, living or not. Now...can you feel the objects outside of this room, feel the desks and walls in the next rooms and beyond? How far can you sense objects?"

*Kyle was indirectly teaching her how to use Force Sense. It was quite simple because the Force was nothing more than her guide, and all she had to do was use her powers to connect to the Force and search the rooms ahead. All that kept her back was how much mental stress she could put on herself.*

Viridian begin to sense ahead, the rooms began to open up to her much like the room she was in had, she made a good distance but suddenly blurted out "its too much" and withdrew "its like" she said "theres too much stuff, in there, in my head, like too much" she couldn't really describe it, she found it hards to express the sense that expanding to so much at once had brought on

((OOC: Going with this because thought having it too easy for her would be god modding))

ooc: it depends. as long as you can see yourself accomplishing this task as in your current state, then you should be capable. I don't see why your character wouldn't be able to 'sense' the next room.

*Kyle merely breathed in and out slowly, periodically, as well as calmly. The rhythm of his breath was steady and fluid as he heard his Padawan cry out in the sudden stress which she put on herself. It was alright. With practice it would be done, and with care, it would be more than just a technique, but a skill.*

"It's alright. Just try again, and do it slowly. Sensing the other parts of the rooms next to us and beyond is nothing more than what you imagine it to be. I like looking at it like a floor plan, if you have ever seen one of those. It just tells us what's in the room, and I can expect it to be there. Just open your mind and let the Force guide your thoughts to allow the 'new senses' project themselves with the Force."

((ooc: I have wierd fear I'll god mod))

Viridian slowly extended out her mind again, this time she tried calmy extending through the rooms using the force then trying to sense everything at once, she explored the rooms with her mind "even in an empty room" she said "there is so much life"

ooc: well, if you're still unsure, go ahead and ask a moderator. I think it really depends how you pose your strengths and weaknesses. That's all.

"Good. You can sense the objects of life and the inanimate objects. But can you see them?"

*Kyle knew this was a giant step. To be able to picture the objects all inside one's head was quite difficult if not nearly impossible. But the focus of the drill was the key to looking at the objects. The objects were all filled with the Force, and it didn't matter if you had a 180 degree view or 360 degree view. By focusing on your radius of sight and believing that the objects could be seen through the Force, then it would turn out to look like a 360 view of a movie.*

Viridian had initiall trouble with this, but she focussed on her task, "like looking through a window" she said, looking at it from this point of view she managed to slowly bring a view of a room, almost identical of the one in which she was meditating into view "thats a nice carpet" she thought outloud

"So you can see the objects. Very good. Now...can you describe all the objects that you can see?"

*Kyle was now trying to get Viridian to open her eye sight to the next level as she was able to see 360 degrees, but only her mind shut her off from doing such a thing. But if she believed in herself, it was quite possible she could see all that was seen by the Force within her mind. However, it was no easy feat to accomplish. Even Kyle had to try at least 3-4 times before he managed to get a quick glimpse of everything around him. But this girl was different. She was more in-tuned with the Force than he was at her age.*

Viridian concentrated on bringing the chair into view, it was simple, elegant. Then she tired the same thing for the walls and for the carpet, the room wasn't overfurnished but simple, plain "I'd describe it as calm" Viridian said outloud, she took her time to get a look at the room, it wasn't a competition she wasn't trying to race anybody, the key came to taking one thing at a time and adding things to the collective image rather then trying to open her mind to eveyrthing all at once, she finished her description and awaited Kyle's response

*At the corner of Kyle's lips, his muscles tugged at him to smile, but he didn't. This child was not just adapt, but quite extraordinary at that. She had overcome two very simple, yet refined techniques in a heartbeat. Now that was something he hadn't seen since he had taught Jace Kyjar. The girl had talent, but what about hard work?*

"Good Viridian. What you have just learned is Force Sight, or the ability to look within the Force instead of your eyes, and Force Sense, the ability to 'sense' things with the Force. Now please recite the Jedi Code."
