Biography

  • Discovered by the Jedi as a young child, Vishhkar was accepted into the order, beginning his training not too long after. Growing up among an initiate cadre at Jedha, the young Jedi at first struggled with his training. His excitable mind focusing on the martial aspect of the training, neglecting the spiritual. He grew adept at lightsaber combat, but his connection to the force was weak, ultimately hindering his abilities. He continued much of his training this way, until the final years when his potential in the force slowly began to bloom. At the age of thirteen, nearly a mature Trandoshan, he was knighted and inducted into the order of Jedi Guardians.

The battlefield became his knew home. The battlefield and the hunt. It inflamed his reptile brain, chasing the Exiles through the Outer Rim, honing in on their prey before striking. Battle boiled in his blood, the desire for combat driving him closer and closer to the darkside. Until one day, in a moment of self reflection as Vishhkar looked over the killing field, savoring the victory, that he was hit with a sense of extreme disgust. Disgust with himself and his bloodlust. He had slain three Exiles that day, and executed two more, defenseless and defeated. Travelling to Ossus, he took the Barash vow, going into an extended repentant pilgrimage to the force rich world of Lothal until the day the war was over.

Life on Lothal was peaceful, without conflict. And it drove him mad for the first few months. Without battle to consume him, he was forced to turn to his meditations. He turned his predator instincts to the acquisition of wisdom, trying to reconcile himself with the Force. For five years he studied, meditated, and trained. He immersed himself into the running stream of the Force seeking wisdom. And then one day, he felt it. An echo, as if a thousand voices cried out at once in great pain. Something truly horrible had happened. The urge to leave was great. But Vishhkar would not break his vow. Until the war was over, he would uphold his Barash vow.

Personality

Vishhkar is a dignified scholar, a wisdom seeking Jedi with a keen mind. As a Trandoshan, he possesses a predators mind, easily turned towards one goal with a singular focus. Vishhkar has turned that focus towards the study of the Force. With a hunters heart, Vishhkar tries to be careful with his emotions, wary of the bubbling excitement and anger that frequently threatens to rise to the surface. This control of his emotions can be straining at times, a tug of war between sentient and beast.

Once an excitable warrior eager to be on the front lines, Vishhkar is disgusted with his violent past and abhors combat and violence. He actively seeks to avoid it, preferring to seek alternative methods. He will however defend himself and his allies if it is absolutely necessary, with pain in his heart as his blood begins to boil.

Powers & Abilities

Once a Jedi Guardian, Vishhkar’s skills were born of the battlefield and the life of a warrior. Survival, healing, piloting, tracking, tactics, and perception mean’t life or death for much of his life, honing these skills to a point. Once a skilled lightsaber duelist, his skills have degraded slightly. Favoring the simple form of Shii-Cho for much of his time, he has also been practicing Niman for several years, learning to incorporate the force into his lightsaber sequences. Learning much of his more practical fighting skills on the battlefield, he is not against fighting dirty, an absolute necessity in the theatre of war.

As a younger Jedi Vishhkar’s abilities in the force were rather weak. Even during his first decade as a knight he lagged behind his fellows. Time spent under the Barash vow has increased his wisdom in the force however, opening up his mind to its intricacies. While the majority of his knowledge regards to telekinesis, tutaminas, and using the Force to supplement the failings of the body, he has begun to open doors to abilities that he had previously thought impossible to one who was once as weak in the force as he had been.
