The camera pulls in to the zabrak, dressed in the iconic poncho she usually wore on the show. Hello I'm Jania and this voice it, your quick fix for all things gossip and rumours this side of the colonies.

This week we've had rumours spreading across from Tatooine that certain influential politician and all-around pretty boy, Emeryc Thorne, has been involved in some sort of domestic dispute with an unknown woman, in Tatooine hotel.

A little birdy of mine in close connection to the hotel says that a crash could be heard before a raised voice grew, it was later found the rooms holoscreen was destroyed beyond repair. it appears Mr Thorne's love life may be in troubled waters compared to the smooth sail that has been his political career.

But I'll keep you updated on this development as that's all the time I have for you. I'm Jania and this has been voice it. TTFN

Emryc was in media hell the next morning, wearing small bacta patches on his face and leg. He wasn’t concerned about his appearance - the story had already broken news. He was accosted by reporters as soon as he left the hotel, preparing to meet with Blackwell executives.

“Mr. Thorne, can you tell us what happened?!”

“Are the claims of this being a domestic dispute true?!”

Emryc kept his steely resolve as always, walking towards the speeder waiting for him. Outside of the bacta patches, his hair was perfectly styled, he was in a suit and sunglasses and as kempt as ever. The half Sephi paused only briefly to address a reporter before he was hounded the rest of the day.

“The work I do is not appreciated by some,” He explained, “We saw that when I was shot down on Naboo, and we see it here today. Let me clarify that what happened was not a domestic dispute.”

There was a collective gasp.

“It was the act of someone that can’t accept what I stand for, so they lashed out the only way they knew how,” Emryc looked directly at the camera, “I truly hope that person finds tranquility and a chance to reflect upon ways to better themselves from what happened.”
“Mr. Thorne where has the perpetrator gone? Are you going to file charges?”

Emryc grinned as he arrived near his speeder, “I would rather give the person a chance to reform than subject them to the questionable justice system that exists on Tatooine today.”

That sparked a whole new assortment of questions, the entire topic of the ‘domestic disturbance’ conveniently deflected. Tiamat’s identity and whereabouts remained firmly protected. Everyone clamored for his scandalous thoughts on the Tatooine justice system.

The ship sat idle in real-space, Tiamat wasn't even entirely sure what coordinates she had entered, but all she wanted was to get away from Tatooine as fast as possible. It was never until after the fact that no matter how far she would go or how fast, she never felt any better, she could not outrun herself, as for this entire situation was fully her fault. She never thought she was capable of hurting him physically, even in fleeting thoughts, but now that she did, she felt entirely fearful of what else she was very capable of doing.

The rage that was still bottled inside had overflowed once more after she had taken off, her works spread chaotically through the ship; it was going to take hours to figure out their order even with the page numbers listed on them. In the moment, she did not care, she would of course later, another action of her own that should have to face some consequence for. And for herself, she sat in the middle of her chaos, her finger tips dug into her scalp as she tried to stop thinking about it all, but the harder she tried, the louder the shadow became, and the demons who had haunted and hurt her in the past were finding their way out from their narrative. No longer as frozen in time as they were, looking for any way to seep their poison back into her present reality after all the work she had done to put them back in their place not too long ago.

Regardless, she had hurt Emryc... again, and this time it was worse, physically she had lashed out at him and she wasn't entirely sure if it were being called pathetic or dull that set her off. However, what she was sure was the intense vulnerability she felt during her time with him; she had let her walls down too fast, too soon and now not only she was struggling to gain any control of herself, but she had hurt Emryc. Tiamat could handle the pain, but to make him endure it also, it was selfish, arrogant, and he was right, she was all those things and as she thought about it more, the stronger the dark side bit and clawed at her. She let out a yell as she reached out, grasping at nothing as she curled her fingers tightly and the Force bent to her will, crumpling the loose papers around her.

There was a chime from her comm and it took Tiamat a moment to figure out where it was coming from until the pain finally washed through her. It probably would have been best not to read the headline that came across the holo regarding Emryc, but she did and she felt the bottom of her stomach drop. Dizziness struck, and Tiamat thought she was going to be sick as she tried to push herself up from the floor. She paused, deciding to wait it out as she worked to convince herself it was just a bad dream. However, a second chime came through, this time one with an interview of Emryc.

Dreadfully, Tiamat pressed the play button and watched him speak directly to reporters. He had the bacta patches on his face, but the rest of him was still on point with his perfectionist looks. Her thoughts had paused long enough for her to really look at him, any other time she would have wanted to reach out and take care his wounds for him, but there was shame and she couldn't bare to think of touching him, let alone him touching her, even when he placed the bottle of perfume in her palm. Now seeing him as he was it pained her entirely. His words though were not what she expected as he looked into the holo-cam, speaking of a chance to find reflection and tranquility. She expected him to elaborate on the vicious attack, how a woman attacked him because they were some derange fan and brat who couldn't get what they wanted.

Though, if Tiamat were being honest with herself, Emryc would have never chosen those words, but it was how she saw what had happened to him.

The redhead pulled her knees into her chin, setting the comm down on the floor, the video playing on repeat. He had believed she had the potential, the drive and desire to be something more, and instead she showed him quite the opposite and perhaps she wondered if she were just a very good liar. Though if that were the case, he would have seen through it years ago, and she would have never survived the tests he gave her. She reached down, hitting the button as the video paused on "tranquility", one lesson she kept failing and yet he let it pass many times over.

Tiamat sat in stillness, his words echoed in her mind as she welcomed the change, bring some peace to the other things she were telling herself. Though, with everything she filtered through her mind, she felt there was one thing she had yet to find and accept within herself:

Tranquility.

There had to be a way for her to find the harmony within her chaos.
