Despite being a towering 6 foot 4, Vosrik has the demeanor of a welcoming friend. Intelligent yet soft green eyes, flowing sandy brown hair, and a playful smirk make the Jedi pleasant to be in the presence of. Vosrik’s chiseled jawline sports a hint of scruff, enough to tint his fair skin a shade darker.

With broad shoulders and a muscular build, it is more than clear that years of training in the Jedi Order has produced a man in peak physical condition. While no stranger to battle and violence, Vosrik has so far emerged relatively unscathed from the conflict between Jedi and Exiles.

Never without his lightsaber, Vosrik is also nearly always seen in his traditional earthen brown Jedi robes. A bit of a clean freak, he consistently keeps his garb exceptionally neat and lightsaber polished. Vosrik can be often found rubbing off any blemishes on the bright handle when bored or unoccupied.

In speech, he is firm but usually lighthearted. While he can be soft-spoken at times, more often than not Vosrik is has a playful and optimistic attitude. He speaks clearly without any accent and can be understood by any who knows Basic.

Even in such dark and desperate times for the Jedi, Vosrik shares his much-needed lightheartedness and compassion with his companions wherever he goes.

Born with his twin brother Shalken Tanari to two lesser nobles on Onderon, Vosrik was raised relatively sheltered from the great war and its atrocities. Gifted with a relatively comfortable lifestyle, he and his brother enjoyed many happy moments with each other and their family for many years. It was not until they’d turned eight that the unthinkable happened — both Vosrik and Shalken became awakened in the Force. Their parents were horrified, now faced with an impossible decision. Their only two heirs had become abominations, and their positions and very lives were at stake with such a disgrace in the Tanari family. The change in affection was instantaneous. The moment Vosrik’s parents found out, he and his twin were treated like they were worthless. It was only days later that the horrific decision was made, and both young boys were kicked out of their own home. On the streets with what little belongings they had, Vosrik and Shalken had become outcasts virtually overnight. All seemed lost for the two, at the edge of despair on the side of the Onderon streets.

It was then that a Jedi Sentinel, hearing their quiet cries in the night who came to their assistance. Children being left on the street was rarely seen, but unsurprising to the Sentinel with Onderon’s mentality on Force users. Rescuing the twins, they were brought to Jedha where their formal training as Jedi Knights began. While not separated in their free time, Vosrik was taken under the wing of a different Jedi than his brother. Their relationship as twins was seen to be potentially dangerous, and was not allowed to flourish like it would if the two never left each other’s sides. For many years, Vosrik was brought up by an older Jedi Knight named Orrin who taught the young boy combat skills and proficiency in the Force. As all Jedi, when Vosrik was grown enough to be sent into battle, he joined Orrin in many conflicts against the Exiles along the borders of the Republic. Then the unspeakable happened — Ilum was invaded, and in the ensuing conflict Orrin was slain and most of Vosrik’s friends slaughtered by the dark ritual. Feeling lost after escaping the battlefield, he joined his brother on Ossus to find his way.

In the Archives of the temple, Vosrik met a consular by the name of Shiro Blagden. Offering to mentor him in the ways of the Force, Vosrik agreed to complete some tasks for the Jedi as Shiro hated leaving his studies on Ossus. At first, the errands seemed normal. Looking for a special Kyber crystal on one occasion, finding a lost relic on another. After a few months of this, Vosrik was sent to a cave on a planet that had been ravaged by the Exiles and left to rot. In the cave was a tome — but it was placed in a horrifically tainted ritual site with bloodstains and corpses. Unnerved but still trusting his mentor, Vosrik was accompanied by Shiro to a small village being plagued by a small group of criminals. Upon finding the vagabonds, they discovered several of the village’s women kidnapped and tortured for fun. Goaded on by Shiro, Vosrik nearly fell to the Dark Side in his hatred and want for revenge. Horrified by how far he’d gone, Vosrik returned to Ossus to begin his training anew and atone for his mistakes, resolving to never let himself fall so far again. His life would be dedicated to the Light Side of the Force alone.

Vosrik, though a strong man with a physically imposing figure, is better known among his peers for his cheerfulness, optimism, and big heart. One is never usually sad for long around the Jedi, and he is more than willing to bend a listening ear to those who need it most. Vosrik’s joyful laughter and comical quips often bring a smile to his friends and comrades.

While continuing to maintain his cheerful presence, he does know when to take matters far more seriously. During important conversations or serious discussions, he listens closely and weighs in with his thoughts on the matter. Those who’ve spoken to him during difficult times have come to realize that deep down, Vosrik truly cares for the Jedi, his friends, and all living things.

His past isn’t without strife however, and Vosrik is deeply scarred by his parents abandoning him and by how close he was to falling to the Dark Side. Dedicating his life to the study of the Light Side and loyalty to the Jedi Order, Vosrik has learned to let go of attachments and find peace through the Force.

Due to his past experiences with the Dark Side and the Tragedy of Ilum, Vosrik is very wary of Exiles. While not bent on their destruction, he knows that most do not like the Jedi and would be more than willing to execute their rivals at first sight. Despite this, Vosrik believes that the galaxy needs to be healed. He knows this cannot be achieved by wiping out the darksiders or staying behind walls — so he will venture out discover the mysteries of Light Side wherever he can find them.

Due to his training from a young age in the Jedi Order, Vosrik is in peak physical condition. While towering over most people at 6 foot 4, he maintains a balance between strength and speed to support his fighting style. While not incredibly agile, he still possesses the dexterity to wield two lightsabers expertly.

Form IV or Ataru is Vosrik’s lightsaber style of choice, though he was also moderately well trained by Orrin in Soresu and Shii-Cho. As the Jedi were embroiled in war, Vosrik also practiced in close combat training should he need to defend himself without a weapon.

Primarily focusing on energy manipulation through the Force, Vosrik also became moderately proficient at enhancing his speed. This coupled with Ataru proved to be extremely effective on multiple occasions during the war. Telekinesis is another area that the Jedi is strong in, being able to lift and move anything that most other Force users can. Receiving rudimentary training in healing, Vosrik is more than capable of mending small wounds.

While having attempted to attune his senses through the Force previously, Vosrik is nowhere near as proficient at the ability as his brother is. He has also rejected prying into others’ minds with Telepathy or mind tricks, seeing it as abhorrent.

During his time in the war, Vosrik learned basic piloting and is very familiar with naval tactics and aerial maneuvers.
