The holounit displayed a small hologram of a ship captain (Peat Stavers) and the message was: "Hello there! If you are reading this, then you have been invited to join my crew upon the Red Avenger. My freighter is one of the fastest in the sector and modified for 'moving' supplies and other 'cargo'." A picture of the ship appeared in the hologram. "If you would like further information please meet me in Mos Eisley on Tattooine. Further coordinates are encrypted within this unit." End of transmission.

Djak glanced at Kette, who shrugged. "We have our own ship..."

The Corellian nodded. "Yes, but I don't have many contacts yet. I need to learn where to go, who to trust, how to negotiate. This guy sounds all right. If nothing else, I can learn from his mistakes, not mine."

"I?" the Rutian Twi'lek asked coolly. "You speak as if this is a given."

"Um, well, I thought I'd keep you as freelance backup..."

"Oh, come off it!" she replied, smiling to take the sting out of her words. "You're very sweet, but I don't need that level of protection. If we're going to be partners, I've got to learn everything as well. So I'm coming with you. No ifs, ands, or buts about it."

"Uh, yeah, but he might say no..."

Kette'ayala leaned forward, reminding Djak once again of just how perfectly beautiful she was. "Djak... have we yet encountered a male who could say no?"

"He might be a special case," Djak said weakly. "He might be gay. He might be happily married. He might be a eunuch from one of those weird sects."

"And you might pull an idiot's array on the first deal," Kette'ayala replied. "Come on, we've got to go to Tatooine. Where will we dock the Eclipse?"

"Let's leave it here," Djak replied. "I don't trust it in an Outer Rim hanger."

A week later, the two stepped into the scorching heat of two suns.
