War Suit Mk. I

For Sahren's continuous support of the Pyke Syndicate, he requested the assistance of a personal armormech. If he was going to live up to his name 'Armory', then he would need a suit for every occasion. Feeling confident that war would soon be on the rise for the syndicates, he had this suit developed to be the perfect weapon in open field combat. While his old suit focused on situational weaponry, his new suit focuses on offensive and evasive maneuvers.

The War Suit Mk. I consists of several pieces. The most prominent of these pieces are a set of dark Titanium plates that cover his body's most vital areas for defense. Underneath the heavy-duty plates is a body glove composed of armorweave, adding an extra layer of protection against explosives and other impacts. To top off the protection, his helmet has a built-in filtration tube which leads to a ventilation system in his chest plate. This protects against toxic gas or atmospheric conditions, but can be damaged if his chest plate is blown apart. At this point however, the protection ends and offensive options begin.

Rather than utilizing a jetpack intended for long-distance mobility, the War Suit Mk. I favors short to mid-range distances. As such, the suit uses a set of jetboots for mobility, rather than a full jetpack. Thanks to his armor's back plate being freed up by the missing jetpack, the armorer was able to install something truly special. A large metal box with two droid arms attached, one on each side. Each arm would extend above the suit's shoulder's wielding a ELG-3A Blaster Pistol in each appendage.

In addition to the attached weaponry and protection, the armor is outfitted with a utility belt and various straps for holding extra ammunition.

LEGALITY

As this is a suite of heavy armor, it is not technically illegal on most civilized worlds, it will certainly gain unwanted attention. On some worlds, the armor's attached blasters may be considered illegal, as they are technically connected to a battle droid.

Functions

Function 1: Droid Blaster Arm
  • This mod comes as a small box that attaches to the back of a chest piece and has a folding droid arm on the left or right side. The arm has a 24 hour battery and an extremely primitive combat droid brain that can pivot and fire in any direction, but has only basic accuracy. The arm can operate independent of the user, but has to be manually activated and deactivated. (Holds a ELG-3A Blaster Pistol)
Function 2: Droid Blaster Arm
  • This mod comes as a small box that attaches to the back of a chest piece and has a folding droid arm on the left or right side. The arm has a 24 hour battery and an extremely primitive combat droid brain that can pivot and fire in any direction, but has only basic accuracy. The arm can operate independent of the user, but has to be manually activated and deactivated. (Holds a ELG-3A Blaster Pistol)
Function 3: Jetboots
  • Miniaturized jetpack technology, jetboots (also called "rocket boots") are essentially boots to which small jetpack thrusters have been attached. The wearer must activate/deactivate the thrusters modes via wrist-mounted controls. Like an average jetpack, jetboots permit a maximum speed of 35kph and can maintain this speed for two minutes of continuous flight (flight mode). In combat (mode), they can be used in short bursts to propel the wearer up to seven (7) meters. Jet boots are much smaller, lighter, and less vulnerable to attack and damage than jetpacks, but are also very difficult to utilize effectively, and wearers can be easily thrown off course.
Function 4: Armorweave Accessory (Underlay)
  • Most often in the form of a heavy cape, skirt, or underlay beneath armor, armor weave provides some protection against the penetrating effects of shrapnel from explosives and other unpowered high velocity impacts, with only a small amount of bleed through damage (bruising or very minor wounds). It offers no protection against kinetic impact or energy, vibroweapons, or similar "powered" weapons. Having more than one accessory (example: Cape + underweave) provides no additional effect.
Function 5: Filter
  • Filters are bulky attachments to a helmet, or function as part of a mask, that filter out environmental contaminants such as smoke or most toxins. They are susceptible to caustic substances and damage.
