DESCRIPTION
The Weapons Silencer Kit is a catch-all term used to describe the means used to suppress a slug through. Though it can not fully remove the sound it can reduce and distort the sound enough that only those at close range to the shot could hear and understand it to be a gunshot. It is non a common item only used by those that need to stay hidden after their shots and who fight those who don't wear armor. This means it is often only used by Spies, Assassins, and covert Special Forces troopers. It is made across the Galaxy and used by all most every government. The Kit consists of1: A suppressor fixed to the end of the barrel. This adds 15% to the length and weight of the firearm and means it can no longer be a concealed weapon. It takes 1 round to attach and remove. This removes the tell-tail flash and bang effect from a slug thrower
2: Special Subsonic Ammunition. This ammunition reduces the effective range by 50% and removes the loud crack of the bullet
3: Modification to the slug thrower to allow the Suppressor to screw on and to reduce the sound of the action. These modifications need to be built into the weapon at its construction or need some kind of workshop to add it.
LEGALITY
Highly Restricted bordering on illegal. Only a few people would ever be allowed to own the kit legally. But the kit is so rare that on more backwater worlds and even some high-population worlds the customs and police may not have any idea what they looking at.INTENT
