Welcome to the Republic's Combat Simulator.

The Training simulator is a long used tool in the training of Republic forces. The system allows for fighter pilots, command staff, and even ground ops to hone their skills in carefully designed scenarios designed to test them, and allow them to further develop their understanding and ability to function in live combat simulations without any risk to the user. It is often used by senior officers to study those serving under them. With information gathered from performance Senior officers are better able to place new recruits, and even offer promotions based on skill, and tactical knowledge.


Usage:
Using the simulators is a simple matter, and is open for Republic servicemen, and women of all ranks or positions. an individual, or several companions simply seat themselves inside the holo projection pods, once inside select the scenario they wish to run based on the area they wish to engage in. Once the pods seal the user, and companions are thrust into a ultra realistic environment that, while programmed to meet a certain scenario will instantly react based on user input, and adapt itself over time. This ensures that no scenario plays out exactly the same every time, and forces the user to adapt as well.

STAR FIGHTER

SF1: It has recent come to attention that several pirate gangs may be supplying illegal contraband to enemy forces. This is a problem that needs halted. We were lucky enough to have taken notice of a damaged convoy currently going for repairs. We need to know what is being supplied, and by whom. should the cargo contain anything that would aid the enemy it needs to be dealt with. Be wary however, if this is the work of pirates it is doubtful they will be welcoming to our presence.

  • Primary goal: scan cargo, keep convoy from entering hyperspace
  • Secondary goals: defeat any enemy threat, disable cargo

Level: Easy Craft involved 2-4 Interceptor Enemy type: 6 Uglies 1 freighter

SF2: This sim is a good old fashioned Dog fight. While not as much a scenario, it is an excellent tool for honing piloting skills, working as a squadron, and becoming comfortable with the primary types of craft: Space superiority, Interceptor and Bomber.
The setting is dead interstellar space meaning no distractions, All secondary weapons are down, meaning you must rely on the dual cannons and your wing-men. The fight lasts until the other team aborts, or is destroyed completely. Be warned that when your craft is destroyed you will receive a very mild shock before the pod ejects you from the system where you will sit in the dark until the game is over. Death in space is no fun, This will hopefully teach everyone to have a desire to avoid it.

  • Primary goal: survive.

Level: easy-moderate Craft involved: ( 2 even teams of 1 to 4 PC pilots per side )Star Fighters (SS,I, B)

SMALL CAPITAL COMMAND

SC1: A small enemy listening post has been discovered on an asteroid near one of our command facilities. This needs to be destroyed before communications can be intercepted and transmitted to the enemy forces nearby. The post is lightly defended by enemy fighters. A light carrier and several fighters should be more than enough, but be quick before re-enforcements arrive.

  • Primary goal: destroy post before back up arrives
  • eliminate all enemy craft in the area
  • Secondary goal: destroy or capture any fleeing shuttles
  • Destroy half of any reinforcements that arrive.
Level: Easy Craft Involved: 1 light carrier 3 fighters Enemy Type: 6 Uglies 3 shuttles, 1 outpost- unspecified reinforcements

LARGE CAPITAL COMMAND

LC1: A small enemy fleet have moved themselves into a agricultural system in the expansion region. Should this system Fall to enemy hands, supplies will become harder to provide in the region, and worse yet, just beyond is a major trade spine, holding the system is IMPERATIVE!

  • Primary Objective: Hold the system at all costs
  • Force a withdraw or destroy all craft
  • Secondary Objective: unconditional
Level: Easy Craft involved: 1 heavy cruiser 2 corvettes 1 destroyer
Enemy type: 1 heavy cruiser, 1 corvette, 2 destroyers

Re-enforcements: yes with penalty Fighter Support: No

GROUND DEPLOYMENT

GD1: A small terrestrial moon on the very edges of enemy controlled space has been recently located by intelligence officers. The Moon, made mostly of thin forests and grassland houses a small facility used to store supplies, and most importantly POW's. It's vital to free our troops deep in the warehouse like facility and disrupt the bases ability to supply enemy forces


  • Primary Objective: free the 30 POWs (70% survival)
  • Destroy supply depot

  • Bonus: Capture the base intact with (100%) survival


Level: easy Troop type: 10 troop 1 atpt
Enemy Type: 10 security heavy troopers 1 light tank
