Hannibal put on a theatrical thinking face and nodded sagely. "True enough. No one cared who you were until you put on the mask." he responded, then immediately rolled his eyes. "What you do defines oneself to others. Both define who and what one is. But let's not start this again. Your stupid helmet doesn't have a straw so I'm the only one drinking here." He accented this point by sipping from his drink.

It seemed like there was going to be more waiting in Hannibal's immediate future. Always with the waiting.
"I'd be happy to, so long as you mind me not doing that at all and using stun weapons instead." he replied cheerily, leaning his cheek against the hand not holding a burning bit of rolled paper and leaf. "Besides, I was never planning to kill you, so I'm sure it'll work out in the end." Hannibal was rather looking forward to their next meeting at this point. They always seemed to rendezvous at the strangest places and times.

He slid the bottle of green liquor towards the Arcanist's side of the table, smirking. "You owe me two shots, magic man. Take the whole thing. I owe you some glass as is, I think."

Talak seemed unperturbed by the Jedi not buying into his idea that the Arcanist was who he was. It wasn't entirely untrue, though. It was correct in many ways, but neither of them seemed interested in belaboring the point any further.

Of course he planned to still try to bring the Arcanist in. He found it ironic thathe insisted on using stun weapons. Trys did the same. This obsession with not killing seemed odd to him when others were trying to kill you.

Hm, he grunted in response. Very descriptive of how he felt overall. Not a very talkative one unless he was engaged in heated philosophical debate.

The man pushed the drink across the table at him, and he just looked down at it and back up at the Jedi. He clearly wasn't leaping at the idea of guzzling down any drink right now. He didn't even know what the bright green drink was. He'd stick to his red wines.

What's the obsession with Jedi and wanting to see my face? he asked. It was a giveaway that Hannibal wasn't the first Jedi he'd met. He wasn't even the second technically, but one of those had met Talak and that was long before the Arcanist had ever come on scene.

Do you all live in a constant state of no privacy? he asked sarcastically, picking up the bottle and looking at it.

Is it sweet? It looks sweet, he said before setting it back down. It looked like it was what you'd get mixing an energy drink with alcohol.

Hannibal loudly snapped his fingers and grinned, "It's easier to tell if I'm gettin' on your nerves that way!" he replied, only half lying. It would also be easier to find more about him if Ego had pictures of his real face, of course. Not likely to happen though, so he'd given up on getting the mask off.

"Of course not. We also don't blow up buildings and spaceports." He paused. "Usually." In retrospect, Luke Skywalker had done quite a bit of blowing things up in his day. Best not mention it. He indicated the bottle with his free hand, "Definitely not. It's the main alcoholic component of a green galaxy." he explained, finishing off his own glass and putting out his cigarra. He didn't light a new one this time.

"Smooth, slightly sour, medium dry, fairly strong. Green." he elaborated helpfully. "You seem like a guy who could use a drink."

He'd certainly caught the hint about Jedi, but he didn't feel it needed asking about. He trusted that conflict between them would occur if they came to opposite sides of an issue, and cooperation if they had the same goal. Simple enough for Hannibal. The young Knight was far more occupied by the murder-happy dark jedi than a murderous vigilante. The Arcanist wasn't even close to the first or only one on Nar Shaddaa, he was just the only one with a lightsaber and a Jedi mask.

For a moment Hannibal considered flirting to try and get the other man off balance, but at this point he didn't think it would be of any use. Between the helmet and general stoic demeanor Hannibal wouldn't even get simple satisfaction out of it. Maybe on their next meeting.

"Do tell me when you come up with something. I'm sure we'll find each other somehow or other."

Right, and has nothing to do with trying to find out my real name and where I lay my head at night so you can stab me, he said sarcastically. It was the kind of world that he lived in and whether he wanted to believe the Jedi or not, he simply didn't trust them.

Maybe it was Talak's sweet tooth, but he definitely had a weakness for sweet red wines. He was a complete wine snob, and for as poor as Trys seemed to think he was, he had an impressive wine collection by almost anyone's standards... most of them were stolen.

Maybe later, he said in response to the statement of whether he needed a drink.

He took a deep breath as the man said that they would find one another again.

I'm sure we will, because you're going to give me your com channel code, he said matter of factly. Or he wouldn't. Either way, the "question" was out there. This was likely to be a particular "request" that might take Hannibal off guard, but Talak's comlink was encrypted so he knew he wouldn't be tracked. If that weren't the case he wouldn't be so willing to "keep in touch."
