DESCRIPTION
Even after hundreds of years, the K-16 Bryar Blaster Pistol is seen as one of the few rare examples of a hybrid blaster weapon. However this did not stop the Concordian Crescent Technologies, a maker strongly affilliated with the Mandalorian Warrior culture, from taking up the challenge to make a stronger more durable and even more lighter version of the weapon. Sadly, in the wake of the Great Purge during the Reign of the empire, companies like MandalMotors, Mandal Hypernautics, and especially CCT went underground or were bought up by other companies. MandalMotors managed to buy back its sovereignty and rebuild itself up, but only CCT managed to remain intact even after the fall of the First Order.

In order to compete in the market, they turned to their old rival Blastech for inspiration, particularly their K-16. Finding the weapon to be rugged, durable, reliable, and most importantly a rarity in the Galaxy as a Hybrid pistol, WESTAR decided to take a stab at the market and the WESTAR 76, known today as the WESTAR Dragoon, was born. The basic principle was to take a standard medium pistol and add a function to the weapon that could fire a charged shot. The Resulting weapon essentially does what the Bryar does, albeit with a lighter frame and sturdier style. One of the biggest selling points of the Dragoon is its ejectable powerpack, allowing the user to eject the spent powercell from the top of the pistol and replace it on the fly. This proved excellent for those who needed to throw bolts down range and down range fast. Unlike its Bryar cousin, the Dragoon can be found everywhere due to it being a fairly recent weapon being only 50 years old.

LEGALITY
Legal, though highly regulated due to the charged shot feature and requires the weapon be registered to the owner in FWA Space. Outside Space is another matter...

INTENT
Not only to be a Reskin of the K-16 Bryar but also to be modern version of said weapon that can be commercially available.
