[OPEN to anyone with a character of high social standing, or members of 5S/Other criminal organizations. Any character is permitted to join so long as they have a good IC reason to attend. Let's have some fun!]

As the speeder slowed to a stop, hovering above the platform at the base of a grand staircase that led up to a magnificent archway while well dressed and elegant citizens mingled amongst one another, Aska turned in discomfort in the back seat. Alisaah, clearly excited at the prospect of being invited to such a lavish event such as the Blackwell Technologies final gala for their conference on Zeltros, had insisted on making the young clone more ‘presentable’ to the other guests. As well, both Representative Pintalli and Administrator L’Amara had further pushed the point. Apparently, a leather jacket and worn out jeans were unbecoming and unwelcome here. Instead, she was no forced to wear a tight fighting green dress that left her shoulders and calves uncovered. As well, she had essentially been forced to have her shoulder length hair styled and cut and make up plastered across her face. Aska felt as though she had been turned into a damn doll… and she hated it.

”I am never forgiving you for this,” Aska complained to Ali as she stood from the speeder, struggling to keep her balance in the high heeled shoes that she had been forced to wear by her slave. It was odd. She had spent weeks trying to push Ali to accept her freedom and had failed at every turn. The first chance where Ali had the upper hand on understanding what was considered acceptable and she turned into a whirlwind of a design specialist. Making their way up the stair way, Aska requiring Ali’s shoulder for assistance in keeping her footing, they came to the top and saw a brightly lit ball room filled with men and women much like those who occupied the spaces below. A band of Bith men stood on a stage in the distance as they played their instruments, their delightful melody drowning out the soft rumble of voices. At least, delightful to most. Aska could have definitely used more bass…

”Ah! Madame Ryun! Madame Tila! You’ve arrived at last!” the voice came from ahead in the crowd and soon, the beautiful Representative Pintalli pushed her way through the crowd. The Zeltron had adorned a black dress in a similar design to Aska’s, her own blue hair held upward in an intricate almost crownlike head piece. As she advanced, Administrator L’Amara soon came in tow in a white suit. ”I trust the speeder we sent to retrieve you was to your usual standard?” Grimacing as she moved the small hand bag she had slung over her shoulder, Aska soon forced a smile to the woman.

”Sure, yea. Fancy ride,” she started before scanning the ball room. ”Where’s the bar? I need a drink,” While L’Amara scowled at the woman’s attitude, Pintalli let out a hearty laugh before reaching out and taking Aska’s hand.

”Administrator, would you please take our precious dancer to our… special clientele? Madame Ryun and I will find ourselves our beverages and join you shortly. Come, Aska my dear,”

Sitting beside her mistress in the speeder on their way to the event, Alisaah was taken aback by Aska's attitude towards her and the job she had done with her makeover.

"I'm... sorry" she said awkwardly in response. The slave was having to pretend not to be a slave in order to avoid unwanted attention and prevent Aska being arrested by local authorities. She would usually have addressed her as mistress, but was having to force herself not to under Aska's own instruction. Not only that but the Togruta did not think she had done a bad job helping the clone get dressed up for the occasion. "I didn't realise I had done anything wrong. You look great, really..." she continued, trying to stay cool in case anybody overheard their conversation on the way inside.

Ali was more than willing to assist Aska totter into the venue by lending her shoulder. Though her mistress was wearing an entirely new get up, the Togruta as usual was wearing the same slave dancers outfit she had worn since she was in the service of Hota Zugg, the Hutt crime lord from Nar Shaddaa. Since arriving on Zeltros, she had taken some time whilst Aska had been throwing a tantrum over her appearance to retreat to her quarters on the ship and attempt to shine it up.

As per usual, Alisaah's clothing, or rather lack of it, was already drawing the gaze of passers by. Her outfit consisted of an ornate, golden bikini with several matching accessories that adorned her body, such as the pauldrons on her shoulders and various bands that were fit around her arms, thighs and ankles. She still wore a choker which her previous master would have attached chains to and an elaborate headdress complete with turquoise jewels and veil. She was not wearing shoes and had delicate and thinly veiled turquoise fabrics falling from the bands on her forearms and the lower half of her bikini. Combined with the piercings in her nose, her overall look screamed "exotic dancer".

Once inside the ballroom it became even more apparent that Alisaah stuck out like a sore thumb, but for once it wasn't an issue. She was technically there to work under the guise that she was a travelling performer and Aska was her manager. This was a lie that Ali had come up with on the spot to ensure that her mistress remained in control of where she went and what she did, even if Aska herself did not really care. Representative Printalli had been quite pleased when they had arrived at her offices and offered her Alisaah's dancing services for her event. Her attitude clearly had not changed when she welcomed them in the ballroom.

The Togruta remained silent whilst Aska replied to the rather stunning Zeltron official. Though she wasn't trained in the etiquette of high society, Ali had attended enough business meetings with the crime boss Zugg to know that the way her current mistress was behaving was out of place. She would never have spoken up though, especially not in front of the Zeltrons but it did not seem to matter. Printalli appeared to be amused by Aska's remark which was a relief and the two women set off towards the bar, leaving Alisaah with Administrator L'Amara.

"It is wonderful to see you again so soon after our last meeting Alisaah" he said, taking her hand and kissing her knuckles exactly as he had done the first time they met. The Togruta did not acknowledge it. She was used to this kind of behaviour from her years dancing at Zugg's palace and she was already over L'Amara after he had disrespected Aska back on the ship. "Let's introduce you to this evenings clientele. I'm sure they will be very pleased to meet you, but first, we have to get you acquainted with the others..."

Administrator L'Amara then turned her away from the ballroom where the majority of the guests seemed to be congregating, mingling and having drinks whilst the Bith band played, and took her to a doorway guarded by two imposing, statuesque bouncers. Seeing the Administrator they immediately allowed them entry. They walked down a hallway, where Alisaah noticed two other scantily clad dancers mingling outside a room which appeared to be being used as a dressing room. One human and one Nautolan.

"Good evening ladies, may I introduce you to Alisaah Tila, she will be joining you in delivering tonight's entertainment" he said, prompting Alisaah to bow politely in greeting.

Emryc’s name was making splashes across various media platforms ever since he helped found the Independent Systems Consortium. His efforts across the galaxy were catching on and many systems and planets were joining his cause. He had been focusing on shaping droid forces to support planets that needed better protection to combat Force users. He had also made the pitch to planets that struggled with AMS attacks. However, all of the droids came from Blackwell. He had even helped set up factories on Tatooine to tap into the sandstones with contracts set up with Blackwell.

He had been involved with the company enough to where they invited him to join the Board of Directors. This party would be the setting to commemorate the event and make it official. It was a prestigious position to be in, and he knew it would catapult him further into power and allow more direct influence with the strategic direction of the company.

For now, however, Emryc was simply enjoying himself. He was adorned in a navy suit and tie, a modest chrono on his wrist. As usual, his hair was impeccable and he was clean shaven. Earthy tones and patchouli lingered on him, giving him a pleasant smell to anyone that was around him. It mixed nicely with the natural pheromones that always hung around in any gathering on the planet.

He had been chatting with Blackwell executives for a while and excused himself to go get a drink. He took a seat and ordered himself a whiskey, turning to regard the crowd. He watched two women walk in, though his attention certainly lingered on the scantily clad Togruta. His silver eyes watched her like a hawk as he took a sip from his glass, recognizing the choker around her neck as something similar to what he had seen on Kessel. His extensive dealings in Hutt space had exposed him to all manners of shady business, and he knew slaves wore those collars.

However, it wasn’t his problem to solve or care about. He could appreciate eye candy when it walked in. Emryc relaxed into his seat, lazily watching the entertainment.

Newton came mentally prepared for the conference on Zeltros. Zeltros as well as it's native Zeltrons are known for their pheromones. Blackwell Tech did may not have found a more suitable planet for a gala party however, after all Zeltros is the 'party planet'. This is the final night of the conference Blackwell is having, so what better than to end it with one big gala. That's probably the thought process.

On an earlier day in the conference event, the Blackwell Manager delivered a presentation about how well the D3-NB series droids and how well they were selling, thanks very heavily to the Serenno noblewoman Demolly. And then he was delievering a presentation about his newest design, the P1-D3S droid, which is more advanced in terms of specs and more powerful. While here, his companion astromech droid M7 would be here as well, polished and cleaned specifically for this event.

The presentations are done, it's time to enjoy the Gala tonight he supposes. Newton is dressed in a nice tuxedo for this. His assistant protocol droid L4 said he looked dashing before he departed from his ship. Right now, he would be drinking a glass of wine. One thing about these fancy parties is that they have free drinks at least. There were bith musicians playing in the ball room, and that was where Newton was, in the ball room, not really dancing but at a table sampling his wine. "Not bad" he had to say.

M7 would be close by as usual. Other than his droid, he would be alone.

Newton would look around in the ballroom, scanning around to if he can see anything interesting in the mean time before the next round of entertainment. Newton was bored at the moment, Bith music isn't really his thing.

But wait, he spotted Emryc Throne (@Sreeya)? Anyone can recognize that face along with those ears. That's the brainchild behind the Galactic Senate and the Independent Systems Consortium. Newton would slowly get up from his table and then head over to where he is. He would sit down with a seat in between them empty. Turning his head, he'd greet the Sephi. "Pardon if I'm disturbing you sir, Emryc Throne, right?" he spoke softly, enough to be heard over the music though. He would ask just to make sure, although he is pretty sure that's him.

As the government official pulled Aska in tow towards the counter that had served as the temporary bar, she scanned the crowd of citizens that had been in attendance. Certainly most of them seemed to be human, an odd occurrence to the young woman who had spent much of the last year on Nar Shaddaa, though many alien species could be seen dotting the crowd. It struck her as curious however that most of the non-human attendees had seemed too be in service positions. Even the Zeltron’s who hosted this gala were not frequently seen mingling with the crowd but rather serving them.

”I’m pleased to see you decided to join us on this most joyous occasion, Aska. You’re client Alisaah will fit in most suitably, I’m sure,” Pintalli stated as they arrived at the counter, motioning to a Twi’lek woman to come over and take their order. Aska simply smirked, the indisputable pain from her shoes causing her to not be in the moment.

”Uh, yea. I’m sure she’ll perform well. Always has,” As she spoke the words in a nonchalant manner, Aska scanned the room and soon, two men caught her attention. One man, well dressed and adorned in a well fitted navy suit, had sat at the bar with an expression that indicated he was above the common rabble which in itself was a statement considering they were surrounded by only the most influential folk of the galaxy. The second, who had approached later on, had taken an interest in the same man. Yet something in Aska’s mind told her that the first man was one worth knowing, though dismissing anyone in this crowd would be foolish.

”I have no doubt about that!” Pintalli continued on until the Twi’lek woman arrived. ”Two of my usual, girl! Quickly! Get to it!” Pintalli ordered the server, clearly holding her position of power over her.

”Yes, m’lady. Right away,” Soon after, however, Pintalli’s eyes lit up as she spotted another man a short distance away.

”Oh, I must beg your pardon!” The woman exclaimed. ”Senator!” And with that, she was gone, leaving Aska alone at the bar. A situation that suited her just fine. Soon, the Twi’lek arrived with both drinks and placed them before her followed by a curt bow which she then proceeded to disappear to serve other patrons. Not one for subtlety or couth, the clone grabbed the first glass and tipped it back, pouring the entire glasses contents down in a single motion. Grabbing the second, she turned back to the party… If that’s what it could be called.

”Where’s the action? The friggin’ excitement?!” she declared to herself before leaning on the bar, already exhausted. Maybe this was a mistake after all…

Dusty was one of the clientele, lounging about with the dancers. Today, he wasn't supposed to be a Ranger, today, he was just supposed to be Dusty Desperado, musician. He would be playing after the openers, the Bith. He had just drained his glass and set it on a serving tray before signaling for another, when Administrator L'amara arrived with yet another dancer.

Having chosen his particular seat for the sneak peek it allowed him, he could see three beautiful women waiting to enter the area. A human, a Nautolan.. and a Togruta? The latter of the trio was by far the most adorned and caught his eye the best. Checking the chrono, he would smirk. Enough time for a dance.

As a former slave, he hated every aspect of it. But like the other half of his life, he was just playing a role. The man was dressed in his resplendent purple jacket, blue vest, green button up, and black leather pants. The look was completed by his black leather boots with the spurs and a musketeer-esque hat with a rainbow feather.

The Nautolan woman waved at Alisaah in greeting whilst the human simply acknowledged her arrival with a nod.

"Where'd they find you hun? If I didn't know better I'd think you were a slave wearing a get up like that" she said. Ali kept her mouth shut. She was worried that hiding in plain sight might not have been a good idea, but there wasn't anything she could do about it now. "Name's Merceli" finished the human girl. She had chestnut brown hair and wasn't exactly wearing a conservative outfit herself, but it was noticeable that she at least was not wearing a collar.

The Nautolan was the next to speak. "I'm Shuffi. Nice to meet you" she said, smiling at Alisaah. She had big friendly black eyes. The Togruta noted that she too wore no collar.

Fortunately for Alisaah there was no dead air and she did not have to think up a response to either woman as Administrator L'Amara interjected.

"That's quite enough chit-chat ladies, you're here for one night only, so I expect you to live up to your reputations and entertain our guests on behalf of Representative Pintalli and our friends at Blackwell Technologies" he said. The official then gestured to the three of them to follow him. They took a different direction to the way Ali had entered, shortly finding themselves back out in another part of the ballroom. They were much closer to the Bith band that were playing and Ali could already see a few people swaying along to the music with drinks in hand. It was still very early on in the night and things had not quite gotten going yet.

Prior to entering the ballroom, a man dressed in a purple jacket walked past them towards the Bith band. Clearly he had been in the backstage area too and L'Amara had not bat an eyelid. Maybe he was a performer too, he certainly looked extravagant in his outfit. Administrator L'Amara began to wave them off, encouraging the three girls to go out amongst the crowd and dance along with the Bith band. Walking into the sea of people, Ali noticed the flamboyantly dressed man starting to dance. She decided to join him for a dance to ease herself into her job for the evening.

"Excuse me sir, mind if I join you for this song?" she asked, starting to move in time with the upbeat music the Bith band were performing.

Dusty's eyes would flick from her eyes, to her collar, before drifting back up to her eyes. He even had the respect to not oogle the Togrutan that had approached him. He offered a devilish grin at her request. "Of course, my dear." The hat was removed with a flourish before he slipped into a deep bow, one hand taking hers. "Dusty Desperado, at your service, m'lady." As he straightened another flourish would guide the hat back to his head where the hand trailed the brim and followed it along the length of the rainbow feather. His lips would press against her fingertips, then her knuckles. "I would be most honored to have one so elegant such as you join me."

The hand holding hers would adjust its positioning with hers as he eased her closer, the other arm sliding behind her back at waist height, that hand ever mindful to be respectful. "Something flashy to make onlookers jealous? Or do you just wish to forget where you are for the moment? I'm trained in several areas of dance."

Emryc took his eyes off the dance floor when he was approached. The half Sephi took a moment to regard the man. He looked familiar, and it took a moment to place him. Emryc nodded as he extended a hand to shake, “The one and only,” He flashed a grin, “You’re with Blackwell, yes?” Emryc likely passed him by when he was at one of the main offices.

He took a sip from his whiskey. Emryc was alert about his surroundings at all times, and he was keenly aware of those on the dance floor, those passing by and others that kept shooting him glances that pierced like daggers. He took it all in stride, rather comfortable to be around crowds.

Emryc heard a woman nearby loudly complain about the gathering and couldn’t help but grin. He tilted his head to look at her, “You expecting someone to catch on fire?” He asked as he sipped from his whiskey, “It doesn’t get more lively than this.”

He glanced back at the dance floor with mild amusement. It wouldn’t be too long before there was an announcement made about him being declared a board member.

Of course he is the one and only. Newton smirked when Emryc flashed a grin. "I am. Newton Arden. Droid designer, engineer and manager at Blackwell Automata." Newton introduced himself, maybe Emryc might know the name behind some of Blackwell's top of the line droids, or maybe not. "Pleasure" he added, nontheless, he nodded his head as he took a sip of his wine.

Newton looked to where Emryc was looking, he was responding to that commotion with that one woman talking to the entertainment, Newton kept sipping his drink as he does so. Newton doesn't really have any interest in the entertainment, the music, or anything else really. Only the free drinks and any particularly interesting patrons, like Mr. Thorne.

Newton would turn his head back towards Emryc after a few moments "It's really impressive how much you've done in such a short amount of time. Forming the Indepenent Systems Consortium. Spearheading the Galactic Senate, the good work you've done for us." he paused "Is there anything you can't do?" Newton had a light chuckle, he was half-joking, but that still was a real question. He's done so much in a short amount of time, Emryc Thorne is a name that pretty much known by anyone not living under a rock.

Huffing in frustration, the boredom that enveloped Aska was bordering on near physical pain. What she had anticipated to be an evening of watching the galaxies most influential letting loose and allowing themselves to enjoy the same vices and pleasures that she had grown accustomed too over the past year had rapidly shown itself to be droll in every sense. Sipping on the drink in her hand, she soon spotted Alisaah getting acquainted with a gentleman on the dance floor. While his choice of clothing was far from what she herself would consider on par with the other attendees, it did make her wonder why she couldn’t have simply strolled in wearing her leather jacket? Clearly she would have not been the most eye catching participant. It didn’t matter in the end, she supposed. At least it looked like the Togrutan was enjoying herself.

Ears perking up as someone had addressed her directly, Aska turned her attention to the pair of men that had caught her eye only moments before.

”Honestly, that doesn’t sound so bad,” Aska replied with a subtle laugh. ”Everyone here is so tightly wound. So… respectable. From my experience, people are a lot more fun when they’re slowly killing themselves,” But as the second man, Newton as he had introduced himself, began to push on his conversation with the near human something he said caught her attention. Something she had heard on the holonet.

”Hang on, did you say you’re Emryc Thorne? The guy who altered the Senate?” Politics were well beyond her mental scope, but the name stuck out to her. A man with influence over several worlds, such a character is hard to forget. And yet when one single man holds such a sway over galactic influence? It seemed this Emryc Thorne was a man to know.

"Uh... elegant? Listen, I'm just here to work and entertain people" said the Togruta, looking at Dusty peculiarly, wondering why he seemed so flamboyant and eccentric. She supposed it must be because he too was a performer. The man certainly did not fit in with the clientele at all. "I don't want to draw too much attention, just liven things up a little..." she said, moving a little to make his hand on her back a little bit more comfortable. There wasn't exactly much clothing on Alisaah so wherever he put his hand he was likely to touch skin, but the Togruta did not want him getting too attached. After that dance she would have to go around to actual clients and entertain them.

Swaying from side to side with Dusty to begin with, the slave followed his lead as the dance began to pick up pace in time with the music. He was a competent dancer, much better than the majority of the guests she would have danced with at her former master's palace. Most of them had been drunken and lecherous, but occasionally there had been the odd visitor who fancied themselves as a good dancer. As they danced, Ali looked beyond Dusty, or at least tried to look beyond his hat to see what else was going on around them.

Ali noticed that Shuffi and Merceli were both dancing near by, each of them also having found a client to share the first dance of the night with. It was likely that they too would start moving between people as the songs went on. Turning her attention back to Dusty, the Togruta asked "So, are you a performer here this evening too? You seem quite eccentric to be here for a business meeting."

Dusty seemed absolutely thrilled by how skilled of a dance partner she was. "Hmmm.." he gave her a questioning look. "I'm not sure if you are, but, you thankfully know your way around a dance floor."

He was doing some fancier footwork, something that belied a strong past in entertainment or dancing. And then he would move to spin her, something harmless. But as she spun, the sleeve of the overhead arm would slip down, revealing what could have passed as slave markings. He didn't seem to notice the slip of his attire and just seemed to enjoy himself.

At her words, the man would genuinely laugh. "The band currently playing is my opener. So once they're done, it'll be my time to leave either you, or the dance floor in general. I am a businessman, however, just nothing this high brow." he replied with a grin. "So tell me, if you weren't here to entertain, is this sort of event your thing? Or are you more into nature and solace?"

Emryc simply grinned at Newton’s question, silver eyes quietly analyzing the man for a moment. He toyed with his whiskey glass, “Well evidently I can’t buy you a drink because it’s all free here,” Emryc said as he lifted his drink in cheers before taking a sip from it.

“Droid designer eh?”
He recalled from the man’s introduction, “I have several business proposals to run by you in that case. Specifically to combat this persistent AMS problem,” Emryc briefly turned his attention back to the dance floor for a moment. He spotted that Togruta from earlier, along with a loudly dressed man. It was mildly enjoyable to watch before he heard the woman on his other side speak up. Her words drew out a quiet chuckle as he raised his drink, “I’ll drink to that,” He said as he took another sip.

Emryc turned to look at her when she asked about his name and what he had done, “It would appear I am indeed that irritating pointy eared man you’ve likely seen on Holonet lately,” He gave her a playful wink as amusement danced in his eyes, “Though I’d be far more interested to learn your name and hear your ideas of a good time since this gathering isn't cutting it.”

Newton smirked, Thorne has jokes and Newton couldn't resist a chuckle at that. Newton would then lift his drink in cheers as well before taking a sip of his drink as well.

Thorne did take interest in him being a droid designer, he had some business proposals, stemming from the AMS stuff that's been all over the holonet recently. Newton would be more than glad to do business with Mr. Thorne. It's always nice when galactic events happen and business and sales grow as a result. It would be a waste of a good opportunity not to after all. "I'd be happy to hear-out your proposals" Newton said with a sincere smile, This party is probably not the best place to discuss these things of course. "Whenever is convenient for you". He left that on the table for Thorne, as he is now interacting with the other patrons, he really is Mr. Popular. Right now, Newton would be looking towards the others as he is having another sip of his drink.

Listening to the exchange between the two men, Aska remained uncertain of just what it was that they were discussing. While the party at large was relatively tame, both men were far too well mannered in comparison to the usual degenerates that she normally partnered up with and as such, kept their tones to a respectable volume. She did catch the abbreviations AMS, however, and shrugged it off. That plague was something she had spent so much time avoiding discussing. It was depressing and an often shunned topic in her old home. Starting to turn away from the pair in an effort to ignore the discussion, she was quickly pulled back in as Emryc shot her a wink.

”Eh, you’re not that irritating… Yet,” Aska replied, smirking slightly as she raised the tall glass in her hand. ”I’m Aska, by the way,” The woman continued as she took a few steps closer to both men, extending a hand to each one after the other. ”And to be perfectly honest, I’m not sure if a couple of suits such as yourselves can keep up with a gal like me,” Smiling, Aska then leaned across the counter and motioned for the Twi’lek server to come closer. Whispering in her ear, she then turned back to the two men before scrunching her face up slightly. ”Make it six, actually!” she called back to the woman as she hustled away to collect her order.

”Yes ma’am, right away,”

”You’re welcome to try though,” Aska laughed, giving Newton a doubtful once over, a degree of mischief forming in her stare.

Ali noted that her dance partner was pulling off some rather complicated dance moves. She did not follow suit. The last thing she wanted to do was draw too much attention to herself. She just had to keep her head down, do a good job and try to enjoy herself a little as a favour to Aska. Her new mistress had wanted her to come see what the party was like whilst their ship was being repaired. It had been a good idea as Ali and Aska both needed to unwind after the events of the last few days which had seen them narrowly escape Nar Shaddaa with their lives and in Aska's case, lost all of her nearest and dearest friends to the brutality of Alisaah's former master.

Out here in the crowd she was cut adrift from her mistress, who she had not seen since Administrator L'Amara had split them up. It made the Togruta rather uneasy as she was not used to being so separated from any of her owners in an unfamiliar place. Ali hoped Aska was having a good time, but made a mental note to look out for her in case she was needed. Even if they were posing as manager and client, the slave had been conditioned for years to serve her masters, so pretending to be a travelling performer was difficult.

She was so preoccupied in her thoughts, Ali did not notice Dusty's sleeve slip to reveal slave markings as they continued dancing. Her attention was turned to the answer to her question. He was indeed a performer - a musician no less.

"I'll be interested to see what music you play" she said, "and will do my best to interpret it through my dancing for these people."

As their conversation continued, Dusty asked what she generally did with her spare time when she wasn't attending corporate galas. The Togruta had to think quickly about a reply.

"Well... I travel, with my m- manager" she stuttered, having to correct herself before she accidentally said 'mistress', "we make our living by putting on shows." She was of course lying, but she had to say something. The slave could not let slip what the pair really got up to on their travels.

Dusty had a sharp eye, and he could see that his partner was possibly holding herself back. Either, she was trying to avoid attention, was worried she would damage his ego if she outshone him, or perhaps she was even tired. She looked very much like the latter to him. Then he noticed her distraction. She was present, but wholly on the hunt for someone else altogether. Smirking he would lean a little closer to whisper to her. "Describe your quarry, perhaps four eyes are better than two."

As she spoke however, he would nod. "Oh trust me, I am sure you will have no problems capturing the spirit of my music." Something about her was familiar.. It wasn't the face, it certainly wasn't the body, he'd definitely remember hers. Then as they danced for a few more moments, it hit him, the behavior.

There was a slight hitch in his step as the memories of a long forgotten past arrived from the depths of his mind. And though momentarily distracted, he'd manage to subdue such thoughts. She was definitely a slave, at least a former one. He would feel bad for her, wishing there was something to do to be helped. As the song ended, the dance would as well, but with a deep dip of her. "I would love to hear of these travels, perhaps even which world you find the most beautiful. For myself, it's between Jakelia and Rishi." he'd say as he righted her back up.

On the stage the Bith band would begin to put up their instruments as a short intermission began.

Emryc grinned at Aska’s words. He thought about his background woven into the Syndicates, all the spice runs he did, all the seedy districts he meddled in. He thought about his times in the bowels of Nar Shaddaa, the things he saw, the spices he took. He thought about his times as a DJ in the underground club scene. Aska’s words amused him far more than she would ever know.

“You’re probably right,” He said as he took another sip from his drink, “But if you’ve seen me on Holo, you know I’m not afraid of a challenge,” Emryc flashed another grin before he took a sip. His steely gaze followed the Twi’lek, watching her every move so he could see how his drink was being made. Emryc had spent enough time in the seedy districts to keep his paranoia with him.

After a while, six drinks were brought back and lined up between Emryc, Aska and Newton. Emryc looked down at the drink and then back at Aska with a quirked eyebrow, “What is this? Smells like jet fuel.”

Playing an innocent diplomat was one of his favorite things.

Did she just challenge them to a drinking contest? That's what it seems like. Newton might be inclined to do so however. He'd smile, this might be fun. "We'll see" Newton said as as the woman looked at him. Truth is he probably would lose a drinking contest, but what harm is a little fun.

Newton wasn't keeping an eye on the bartender like Emryc was, and he'd glance at him watching the twi'lek like a hawk but didn't think anything of it. He'd look at has companion droid which would still be by his side.

Once the drinks came, Newton would look at them. All lined up. But they smelled... weird and he didn't know what the drinks are. But then again Newton remembered they are on Zeltros, this is the party planet. No doubt there are all kinds of weird, alien, exotic drinks here. Newton would wonder what they are as Emryc asked. Maybe it's something very potent and foul? He thought
