- "Wildfire" || Lilac Thorn-.

Wildfire is a drug invented by former Sith turned Syndicate drug cook Angar Thorn combining chemistry and Sith alchemy. The drug derives from a strain of the lilac plant found on many worlds throughout the Outer Rim. The original plant can be used in harmless stimulants like caf. However, after being altered by Sith alchemy, the stimulant takes on its trademark violet coloration and becomes ridiculously addictive. The drug is most famous for its effect on Force users.

Because of its coloration it is sometimes called Lilac Thorn after its creator.

EFFECTS

Wildfire is a liquid drug and is commonly taken either through injection or combined with a drink and ingested orally. Its taste is described as being sweet, akin to chocolate, with a slightly bitter aftertaste. The effects of Wildfire vary widely depending on who is using it. On most non-Force-sensitives it only slightly more addictive than spice. Beings in this category are likely to experience hallucinogenic effects that vary in magnitude from mild to severe hallucinations. The drug also targets their brain's pleasure centers, creating a euphoric high followed by a hard crash. Withdrawal symptoms include strong urges for the drug, monstrous headaches, vomiting, extreme dizziness, and eventually crushing fatigue. These symptoms will worsen dramatically before abating in three to four days time.

On Force-sensitive beings, the effects of the drug are more extreme. An unintended consequence of being manufactured with Sith alchemy, Wildfire acts as a stimulant for those Forceful beings who ingest it, dramatically boosting their Force abilities for up to an hour after ingestion in addition to the effects experienced by non-Force-sensitives (i.e., hallucinations and a high followed by a crash). However, the drug is twice as addictive to Forceful beings, creating an almost obsessive need in them to obtain more after only one use. The more of the drug the Force-user takes, the less it boosts their powers, and the more their body deteriorates. Too much usage of Wildfire can actually cut their connection to the Force entirely and, in extreme circumstances, even lead to death.

Withdrawal symptoms are the same as in non-Force-sensitives but much worse. The headaches, for instance, are crippling and make it nearly impossible to focus and use the Force. Vomiting is so bad it is difficult to keep food down. Unlike those without the Force, Force-users also have very little reprieve from these symptoms without an antidote—which is not known to exist yet, as this drug is new on the market. Without the antidote, the only way to experience relief for a Force-user is if they take more of the drug, which is obviously detrimental to their bodies and essentially makes them a ticking time bomb.

USE

As Wildfire is a new drug, the full range of its uses are unknown; but the criminal underworld and even some in more legitimate circles have speculated at its use. To ordinary people, Wildfire is an ordinary drug with a sweeter taste and slightly more potent effect than spice.

However, to those who deal with Force users, it has other uses entirely. Some scientists have speculated that Wildfire could be used as a suicide stimulant, allowing Force users on the battlefield to dramatically and temporarily increase their abilities to give them an edge in war. These Force users would obviously eventually die once the drug ran its course, but the advantages could not be completely overlooked.

The drug could also be weaponized against Force-sensitives, since denying them access to it after they are addicted renders them virtually unable to focus enough to use the Force. Getting them addicted to the drug is also an almost guaranteed method of slowly killing them, assuming they don't get access to an antidote or some other esoteric means of healing their minds and body. Even those who are healed may find their connection to the Force permanently weakened or altogether severed.

Jedi and Sith scientists both have suspected it might be possible to perfect the drug, turning it into a stimulant without the drug's drastic side-effects. However, attempts to create such a stimulant have thusfar proven impossible.

CREATION

As of right now, the drug's formula is known only to its creator, Angar Thorn. However, others could learn to create the drug from Thorn or anyone else he taught the method to.

Wildfire is created from a lilac flower found on worlds like Kessel and Oba Diah. In order to turn it into its liquid form, it goes through intense laboratory processes, after which Sith alchemy is applied to give it its glowing violet properties before it transferred to vial form. This process can take up to three standard days.

The drug expires within weeks when exposed to too much warmth, thus it must be refrigerated for long-term storage and transfer.

INTENT

To create a new drug for my Syndicate character to sell and to form the basis of a drug cartel he will eventually build.
