Arctus doesn't call himself a ladies' man nowadays. That title is reserved for his younger self - confident and cocky with so much swagger attached, but all for the wrong reasons, though. He's had his fair share of girlfriends in the past, and he even went as far as to sweet-talking his way into a noble lady's bedchambers (for which he was chased out by a livid, strict father the morning after). The Corellian had - as the teenage Padawans call it - rizz (he doesn't even know what the word means). Now, at 40, he has long accepted that there's little to no chance of him finding love, let alone getting married because really, one needs to have a romantic partner first before even the idea of a wedding comes into the picture.

For someone who wants to raise a kid, it was a bummer. But adoption was also an option, so he assures himself not to worry too much about being unable to pass on his name. Still, having a kid was a huge responsibility, and even at his age and his willingness, he needs to make sure that he is capable of giving the child the happy life they deserve.

A. R. Friers: Hey, Haldir. Are you free this weekend?

H. Eressëa: Yes. Why?

A. R. Friers: I want to introduce you to my kids.

Nibs the Anooba and Selene the Arkanian Dragon are the closest thing to children that Arctus has at the moment. Of course his fellow Jedi and friend doesn't really know that, so Haldir Eressëa can be forgiven for assuming that the Corellian had knocked up someone and has just been recently introduced to his offspring. Masked as the Arkanian Offshoot it most of the time, Arctus can still sense the other man's surprise upon seeing a canid desert mammal and a towering winged reptile waiting alongside him and watching this strange, faceless sentient approach. As per usual, Nibs barks his greeting while Selene offers the other Jedi a suspicious glare. The Anooba is easy to wrangle, the canine's only real issue being that of over-friendliness towards someone his master companion knows. The Arkanian Dragon, on the other hand-

"Nay-nay, Haldir is a friend," he warns the dragon when a threatening growl rumbles in her throat. Arctus steps away from the pair and approaches the other Jedi, placing an arm around the latter's shoulder to denote his trust towards Haldir. To the Arkanian Offshoot's credit he doesn't waver nor tremble in the slightest, the younger man a placid presence both in the Force and in the physical world. "At the very least, try not to intimidate him so much, yeah?"

Head tilting slightly, Arctus tries not to grin too awkwardly when Haldir glances between him, the excitable Anooba, and the skeptical Arkanian Dragon. The other Knight only sighs softly before asking, "Am I really just meeting your kids, or there is something more to this?"

The Corellian chuckles and peels himself off of the white-haired male. "No beating around the bush with you, really. Well, y'see..."

Needless to say, Arctus knows that he deserves the light smack on the shoulder Haldir gives him - out of Selene's sight, of course - when he tells the latter that he wants the younger Knight to be one of the very few whom he can entrust his pets, his companions, whenever the Corellian gets sent on missions he can't bring them. He assures Haldir that befriending Nibs is easier than it looks, and the way the Anooba is smiling goofily up at the pale man is more than enough proof that the canine will surely warm up to him quickly. The issue, going forward, lies in the process of teaching the Arkanian Dragon to not see the masked Jedi as a threat, for starters.

"So, basically, I'm gonna teach you how to earn Selene's favor and trust."

"Why do you have to call it 'wooing', though," the Arkanian Offshoot comments drily under his breath. Arctus pretends to be hurt, however, and shoots his friend a mock indignant look.

"'Cos that's basically what you're gonna do."

Haldir just straight up smacks him again, this time the man's palm finds the Corellian's bearded face.
