.
A mixture of screams and blasterfire echoed across the battlefield, blanketing the normally-serene jungles of Yavin in utter chaos. The attack on the Jedi homeworld had been a carefully planned affair, meant to catch their enemy off guard. There was no question whether Vahliri would participate in the battle, and had volunteered herself to lead an assault on the southern entrance of the temple.
Her objective was to cut off any delayed reinforcements to the main assault, and ideally flank the Jedi deeper in the temple. Marching down the ramp of her shuttle, Vahliri immediately allowed her gaze to sweep the field - cautiously anticipating any defender who stepped forward to meet her.
The half-Annfyn was adorned in her signature red-and-black robes, dark hair pulled back into an elaborate braid that draped down the center of her back. She wore the Crystal vambrace on her left arm, while the hilt of her first saber was grasped in her left. She deliberately went without a hood or helmet, features on full display.
Though the squadron of troopers began to fan out behind her, Vahliri kept in tight formation with her apprentice. The Acolyte had promised herself to the Sith once more, and Vahliri intended to test that loyalty on the battlefield.
“Show them no mercy,” Vahliri said to Celeste, her voice cold and unfeeling towards the task ahead.
True to her word, the half-Annfyn moved with deft efficiency - her crimson blade moving to cut down the first Resistance soldier that came within her reach. She didn’t slow her march the entire way, moving through the chaos to close in on the Temple.
