Zann Consortium Vanguard
Historically, the Zann Consortium employed mercenaries from across the galaxy known as "Defilers" to carry out special operations. The Consortium retrofitted them with armor, and some of the best weaponry a soldier could ask for. While the Defilers of old were a special operations unit, much of their gear has become less cutting edge technology in the last hundred years. This made construction of their armor and acquisition of the same weaponry far cheaper over time. Eventually, the syndicate would stop supplying their defilers with gear, and simply pay a little extra instead.
Realizing that outfitting mercenaries with the same gear is far cheaper now, Grace has hired soldiers from varying parts of hutt space to act as foot troops, guards, and hired muscle. This collective group of mercenaries, equipped with old Zann Consortium gear, have become known as the Vanguard. Their daily tasks typically involve guarding Consortium owned property, guarding important individuals/deliveries, and even assisting in special jobs on occasion. At the end of the day however, they are all soldiers, and are prepared to fight in large scale battles if need be.
Though many of the hired mercenaries are human, the Vanguard also has Niktos, Nogori, Twi'leks, Trandoshans, and Devaronians among their ranks.
The Gear
| The following equipment is the standard armament for soldiers of the Zann Consortium Vanguard. On rare occasion, they may possess disruptor technology, but never in large groups or against player characters. In open field combat, one or two may occasionally sport a RPS-6 Rocket Launcher. This will be seen in invasion threads, or large scale battles only. It also replaces the RCS-12 Blaster Rifle they typically carry. |
