  • Through the wiles of her mother, Zavra Szabo was raised as the illegitimate daughter of a noble on Alderaan. Her mother waited for the child's "parentage" to be widely known so that the family would be forced to raise her and then she left Alderaan before Zavra was more than 10 years old. However as an Anzat not having her biological mother around was probably for the best. A single crafty Anzat could probably have blended in to a noble court for decades, but two and one of them a juvenile? It would have been the obvious choice, especially to a species so infamously obsessed with 'the hunt'.

Zavra was given a lady-in-waiting's education in keeping with tradition for illegitimate female children. She took well to the classes but quickly showed aptitude in a number of extracurricular activities. In particular she was a phenomenal pilot. A skill discovered one afternoon that Zavra and a few of her half siblings had snuck out of the house to attend the races. The children had discovered an unattended swoop bike and had accidentally started it. With a combination of luck and quick reflexes Zarvra managed to land the swoop without crashing it. After that security at the manor had been much stricter by it hadn't stopped the young nobles and their proclivities.

These times would not last forever. Eventually Zavra's more monstrous nature became apparent. It had been thought that Zavra was simply an ill-tempered and hostile child, understandably, due to the isolation that would have been fostered onto her and her position as a 'bastard child'. However as she came through puberty and experienced her first awkward shuffles through intimacy she discovered the root of her anger. Her hunger. After a string of lovers being found dead she was soon branded as a strange black widow murderess. Being the illegitimate daughter of a nobleman offered her protection for prosecution of her crimes, especially as her victims had been commoners. But to avoid further embarrassment she was sent away, effectively in exile, to make her own way.

And make it she did. on the back of her piloting skills Zavra took well to the galactic racing scene. Over 40 years she climbed through the ranks of the profession and became something of a minor celebrity. However it was then, after years of sub par meals that Zavra discovered the true spice of life and the delectability that could be sampled by those with interesting and vibrant lives.

Her fist such victim was a fellow racer and something of a bon vivant. After tasting his soup Zavra realised she'd been wasting her time and had a whole new profile for her victims. Zavra faked her first death and adopted her first new personality before cracking down to track down her first intentional 'gourmet' soup target.

And this was her life for a great many years, almost two centuries. She would find victims of true potential and vitality with either great talents or auspicious destinies and got close to them. In the earlier times it was still something very much like a typical Anzat hunt. Know your target, find a weakness, exploit their weakness with timing so that they could become prey. But over the years she discovered two things. Firstly that the ambush was risky, it wasn't a guarantee and it took a lot of perpetration especially if you wanted to have enough time to make scarce or cover up the means of death. Her solution to this came slowly. As her skill base broadened she learned to make her natural manipulative powers work in addition to her words. Rather than bluntly over powering or implanting thoughts she would gradually implant ideas, with showmanship, psychology and the ability to invoke the odd emotion at the right moment. Eventually she had victims that were willing to become her prey, with out a fight or without direct force, though this process often took decades of buttering up and companionship. Which is how she discovered the second thing, it was possible to 'season' a person's soup with the love attention and effort you put into their lives.

So Zavra took her time. Groomed her victims slowly and selectively and was able to last an incredible time between feedings due to exceptional quality of each one. Each new victim came with a new persona and new jobs. Zavra found that starting a job as a similar level employee or equivalent colleague was one of the easiest ways to assure a quick early connection to build on. Her travels took her through out the galaxy. Many times she was nearly caught or was forced to skip out on a target to save her own hide.

Zavra's most recent target was a young and brilliant doctor she met aboard an old run down station in the outer rim. Her name was Tree Lyarr and she had decided to work out on the rim to try to help people that 'really needed it' and so much of her practice was run at a loss and with the aim of helping the desperate. Zavra was working as a mercenary pilot for the station at the time and frequently found small injuries to excuse a way into the practice. After a complaint about being understaffed Zavra did what she could to find a bunch of droid components to put together into an assistant for her. This gave her a proper excuse to spend time together as she needed Tree's input on what the droid needed to be. At her request the droid was designed to act as both an assistant and a walking patient data base, one of the biggest issues she had was keeping track of all of the comers and goers on the station and this would help immensely. The droid they built together was called Nina, a truncation of the designation of it's most prominent parts.

One day Tree caught Zavra out of the blue with an unexpected question. Tree asked Zavra "Do you think i would have tasty essence?" The question floored Zavra. Tree went onto explain that she'd worked out what Zavra was a few months ago but she had been more curious than scared. Zavra wanted to just bug out then, but something stopped her, a desire she couldn't place. In stead of fleeing she answered and before long her story just poured out of her. Emotions she hadn't known she had, resentments and fears brewed in solitude over two centuries bubbled forth and Zavra broke down sobbing her life out to Tree. When the words stopped and Zavra sat on Tree's desk shuddering at each breath Tree took her in her arms and embraced her.

Tree was the first true friend that Zavra made. She stayed with Tree for almost 40 years. All desire to taste her soup overwritten by the desire for companionship. Their friendship was ended however when their station was destroyed by pirates. Zavra did everything that she could but she was one pilot and couldn't hope fight a small fleet. In desperation she tried to get Tree to her ship and escape but before she could the corridors started to exploded around them, Tree was impaled with a shard of fractured durasteel. With her last breaths Tree tried to speak to Zavra, simply uttering two words "Be good."

Zavra, Nina and a few survivors did what they could to survive in a broken down section of the station but while there was air and some power, there was no food or water. The other survivors would not last. Zavra, taking Tree's words to heart offered them a quick death and a promise that between her and Nina they'd be remembered. After their deaths Nina and Zavra turned what was left of the station and turned it into a memorial to the lives lost aboard. Then using what little power they had they put Zavra into a stasis pod to keep her Alive until they were found. After two years adrift the fragment drifted close enough to a planet to start being pulled by it's gravity, The planet was Attahox.

  • Zavra can be charming, witty and very smooth. She can also be brash, boisterous and prone to bad decisions when she doesn't give her self enough time to think things through.

While many Anzati are pure monsters, horrific vampires sucking out the life and 'snot' of their victims, Zavra is something of a romantic. She sees the process as being a way to create a unique bond between her and her victims. She gets very close to most of them and quite a few have even been lovers.

In pressure situations she can be slow to react, taking a moment or two to put together a plan in her head. But once it's there she operates with cool composure and quick reflexes.

Despite her years and the number of people she's met she has had only one real friend, who died at the hands of pirates. Zavra has a distaste for those who prey on the weak. She feels that the most powerful hunters seek the strongest prey and to act differently is disgusting.

    • Strength: █████████

Zavra is incredibly weak by Anzat standards.

      Dexterity: ████████

Zavra is a textbook example of "Natural Grace" almost everything she does is fluid in a thoughtless way that often appears effortless.

      Consitution: █████████

Zavra’s appearance does not belie her fortitude or stamina. She has been knocked around both by the galaxy and by her own mistakes and has come through with dogged determination.

      Intelligence: █████████

Zarva is sharp witted and well read. Her mental aptitude has lent to her ability to pick up and retain skills and solve some complex problems.

      Wisdom: ██████████

Despite her years and her breadth of experience Zavra has often made poor decisions, nor does she always have very good instincts. Partially, however, this is due to her natural abilities and good luck normally pulling through for her.

      Charisma: ██████████

Sly and honeyed in her words Zavra is a skilled conversationalist and an approachable and convivial person.

    • Piloting: █████████

Zavra was possibly born to fly. Since a young age, growing up with swoop and speeder races, she was shown the basics of flying variety of vehicles. In only a decade or so she was racing at a competitive level.

      Small Arms: ██████████

A great number of professions in the galaxy require a familiarity with and understanding of basic blasters. Zavra has had many jobs in the galaxy and as a result has trained and used a variety of Blaster pistols, carbines and similar mid to short range weapons. She's a good and practised shot at engagement distances of 30-90 meters.

      Persuasion: ██████████

Having spent most of her life convincing interesting and intelligent people to let her eat them, Zarva is quite gifted with convincing arguments an turn of phrase.

      Fencing: ██████████

Zavra has learned the foundation of how to fight with the mono-foils popular amongst the peerage of Alderaan. Her form and strikes flow well and are graceful but her technique is basic and predictable.

      Programming: ██████████

As well as understanding Droid speak and a number of program languages Zavra has spent a great deal of time hacking terminals and implanting software protocols to help her stalk and identify potential victims.

      Performing: ██████████

Zavra can slip convincingly into a number of roles and personas. She also makes a compelling liar.

  • Anzati Biology: Like all Anzati, Zavra has abilities that mark her out as above and beyond an average near-humanoid.

These abilities include: Above average humanoid regenerative capability (should not be used in pvp), telepathic ability that increases with age and use allowing manipulation of and eventually domination of other sentient minds (equivalent to use of force manipulation, power increases with player level as normal), the ability to sense 'life energy' within other sentient beings.

However there are several tell tale aspects of this biology that make it possible to identify a member of the species: Two tentacle-like proboscis that are normally concealed within their cheeks, a lack of biorhythm (no heartbeat or equivalent) and no body heat.

Liberal Imbiber: Zavra can drink like a fish. She can pack away far more alcohol than her size would suggest putting many a burly bar-goer to shame and out of pocket. Though she also drinks far more than she should, perhaps bordering on alcoholic tendencies.

    Identity Thief:
Zavra has adopted, stolen and fabricated a number of personas to inhabit over the centuries. Most in order to hide her exploits and age-span. As a result of this all but her most recent persona are blown, wanted or otherwise owing a sum of money to be collected in blood where needs be.

    Storied Employment History:
Having rattled around the Galaxy taking on pretty much any way to pay her travels as she could Zavra has experiences most if not all the unqualified careers or jobs that only require equipment that are to be found in the Galaxy. Both legitimate and criminal Zavra has had her fingers in a great number of pies at anyone time. This limited time spent in each profession, save a scant few as reflected by her skills, has left her a great wealth of cursory and introductory information. As the saying goes; Jack of all trades, Master of none.

  • A scavenged helmet
A sniper carbine with an extra clip
    A
    sawn-off light repeater
A hold-out stun pistol on a sleeve mounted NEWDA
    A datapad

  • Tree Lyarr: A doctor Zavra met and befriended on a space station in the outer rim. Her death somewhat changed the way that Zavra looks at the galaxy. She is angry and disgusted by the acts of the pirates that caused it but has also come to realise that the piracy only happened because of the instability in the galaxy, something must be done. With her dying breath Tree asked Zavra to "Be good" and Zavra will do everything she can to honour this, though she will likely struggle to know what it means.

Nina: A droid that Tree and Zavra built together. Zavra cares for the droid and the memories it represents but it's much more like a pet to her than a normal droid master relationship would be.

I'd keep in mind that you probably won't be able to use the mind manipulation stuff on PCs regardless of level, unless you otherwise learned how to do it via force training.

Approved!
