Zayn Talis was born on the Core-World of Corellia during the Force Eternal Era, growing up within Coronet City’s poorer districts. The youngest of three older brothers, Zayn had a modest but happy childhood - spending the majority of his upbringing living within the two-bedroom apartment that his family called home. While their Morellian father worked on one of the planet’s many shipyards, Zayn and his siblings helped to care for their mother, an accident early in the boy's life leaving her paralyzed from the waist down.
From a young age, Zayn developed a passion for mechanics - often spending hours on end tinkering with whatever spare parts or junk tech he could get his hands on. Perhaps the crowning achievement of his tinkering was an old BG-series found by one of his brothers, which by some miracle or luck Zayn managed to get working again - remaining a companion to the boy to this day.
It wasn’t until the age of thirteen that Zayn began to manifest his latent Force Sensitivity - the newfound abilities coming as a complete shock to the rest of his family. Despite their surprise, Zayn’s family were fully supportive of the boy - presenting Zayn with the opportunity to join the Order. Seeing it as a chance to leave Corellia and gain a better understanding of his new abilities, Zayn eventually decided to join the Jedi Order.
Bidding his family goodbye, he soon found himself at the Jedi Temple on Yavin IV, and has since spent the past several years dedicating himself fully to his training.
