Added a new Joint mission! Looking for our negotiators to step in here. ((Looking at you Bot and Tristar)) No pressure. I might jump in as well, or in place of one of you if you don't want in.

Yeah, there is space. Sephian, Derik, and Aizal will take care of the initial dealings. Other members will be given priority for the next ones to give them a chance to meet our furry friends.

Fantastic! Just as a heads up, I'm active duty military, and starting next Monday, I'll be TDY for a military school I need to attend from 22 SEP - 16 OCT. My activity will be kinda sporadic for that period of time, due to field exercises and whatnot, and not really having constant access to a computer or internet. Before and after that though, I'll be extremely active!

Good to hear. Don't worry about it too much. We have other threads to keep us busy while you do your thing. When you return just jump back at your threads and we'll keep them going. Have fun with 3 weeks of training, I'm sure you're looking forward to it :P

Honestly, kinda looking forward to it, oddly enough. I work in a hospital, which I do enjoy because I'm working on getting into med school, so I get to learn a lot about what I want to make a career out of. Still, it'll be nice to get out into the field for a few weeks and actually do some real military work. Get a little bit dirty, work on squad based tactics and movement. Ya know, the things most people think about when they picture the military.

Who doesn't want to watch 2 1/2 hours of the non-stop action of police calling a 300 square yard patch of sand, TA-50 layouts, and wait for it....the adrenaline filled romp that only being a urinalysis proctor for 8 hours can be?

I don't see that stuff when I think of the military. I think of too many SHARP meetings in AIT and the only time I ever did CQ desk being the longest night of my entire ****ing life back then.

Well, I also see the layouts, and that business.

But mostly I see me waking myself up by accidentally headbutting the desk when my hand slipped from under my chin.

We had to attend a mandatory 3 hour briefing a few months back from 1630-1930 that was, I kid you not, about how we needed to make sure that we took time away from our military duties when we had the opportunity and spend some time with our families and friends, because a happier soldier is a more effective soldier. Meanwhile, my little girl is at her soccer game that I would love to be watching. Oh, the irony of military briefings.

We had to attend a mandatory 3 hour briefing a few months back from 1630-1930 that was, I kid you not, about how we needed to make sure that we took time away from our military duties when we had the opportunity and spend some time with our families and friends, because a happier soldier is a more effective soldier. We got a SHARP briefing from a Sergeant who was put under investigation a month later.

My cousin just got back from Afghanistan a couple months ago and he had a few of those meetings too. I would join the military if I could but my heart condition says no :(. Instead I volunteer at a local vet center to help out. They never really talk about meetings but the ones they had a couple of those too.

I think three of us plus 2 or 3 of them is probably plenty to keep it from going too messy. We can consider Taggart as priority selection for the next one.
