For some odd reason, Ive had a hankering for a zombie rp. Does anyone know how I would be able to start one up effectivly. Like suggestions to locations and stuff like that. I already have a basic idea on what the people rping can do, but im not sure how to start it. I have a rule of no military personnel. Help would be appreciated.
Setting: The group will start in a appartment complex, on the top floor. The stairs down to the lower floors have been heavily barricaded. The only way out is the fire escape to a vehicle below. The vehicle is used to get supplies but going out and looking is extremely dangerous. Supplies are running. There are several places to go: the coast so that they can get to a boat and go to a remote island, go to north where the zombies are more and more scarce the higher you go, or to a large military base placed between the borders of America and Mexico, although if people want they can do thier own thing.

Items: ( 5 small items, 3 medium items, and 1 large item. Backpacks are optional and need a good reason for having it. A backpack would increase what you could carry like say 2 small items added to the original 5)
