The being known as Zusk'anosh'ouzu was adopted by a wealthy Human couple before he was able to recall his memories 11 standard years ago on the City Planet of Coruscant. Having chosen to not adopted a human child, they were taken by his blue skin and red eyes and had no problem with keeping his full name. Instead, they merely referred to him as Skan for short rather than try to pronounce the foreign name.
Raised in a safe home, he was sent to school when he was a mere 2 years old as his body aged far faster than a humans. He was a dutiful student and ate up all the knowledge he could. His appearance left him ostracized from many others due to the rarity of the Chiss species in such a place but he did not take any notice. From a young age, he valued logic and even to a young person such as him, he could understand peoples reasons for avoiding him in the hallways.
He progressed through his schooling quickly, far faster than others due to his rapid maturing and soon finished basic school entirely. His home life was completely stable during this time and he wanted for nothing. When he requested for his parents to fund his Medical Schooling, they accepted with proud smiles. And while he never made any true friends as he left them behind so often, he formed a sense of compassion for others.
His stint at the Medical School had been going well. He picked up the skills seamlessly and ate up the various subjects as he had during his primary schooling. His compassionate personality battled with his logical one during this time and he found it difficult to accept that sometimes he could not help people. But he learned this lesson over time, despite his distaste towards accepting it. He proved himself to be a capable Medic. Able to diagnose various conditions, mostly of humanoids, and treat them competently. He even performed some minor surgeries to high levels of success.
During this time, he also received lessons from his father on how to shoot a blaster. He did not take to this as easily as his education but practiced tirelessly to get to the stage where he could hit the targets more often than not. Due to his distaste for actually hurting another person, he acquired a Stinger Stun Blaster to lessen his chances of doing actual harm to anybody.
When he disappeared, everybody reacted. His tutors with disappointment at losing such a promising student. His classmates with glee, that they would have an easier time rising to the top of the class. And his adoptive parents with worry. He left them a note, simply stating that he was alive and needed to venture out into the Galaxy to find his purpose in it. His parents believed he was heading to the Outer Rim to help out the people who could not afford actual doctors. But there was no proof of this. All they knew for sure was that he had taken some credits from their accounts, his Stinger, his Medkit and a change of clothes and vanished.

Skan has been fortunate enough to receive a proper education and branched into Medicine after finishing his general schooling.
