The brilliant viridian blade arced and weaved through the night air. The smaller abominations were no issue to deal with for Kane, it was the larger ones that were the issue. Especially in the numbers that surged through the streets. He'd been on a reconnaissance mission for the Jedi when he had gotten the distress call from Ossus. The Jedi Knight had come as soon as he could. Now he was on a far flank of the actual front line, helping to protect evacuation and medical personnel. Even on the far flank, hundreds of abominations tore and ripped through buildings and people alike.

The smaller abomination ducked and weaved, snarling at the Knight. It lunged, only for Kane's blade to sizzle among it's flesh and slice through it. The body fell in two pieces, adding to the several that were piled up around him. What little survivors had been on this block were either eaten, hiding, or had run back to the evacuation and medical area. He'd only been on Ossus for a couple of hours now and his crimson tunic was already covered in soot and a mixture of blood from abominations and people.

Kane sighed, keeping his lightsaber ignited as his dark brown eyes searched the darkness around him for movement. What astounded him the most was that when he first appeared, the civilians were almost just as afraid of him as they were the abominations. It made sense, considering the Empire had continued a war against the Jedi. It wasn't until Kane had started fighting the monsters that the people realized he was there to help, and used his distraction accordingly. Now the people were all but gone and the monsters only remained, slain or otherwise.

He did find it amusing. The Jedi Order sent him on a mission behind Imperial lines only for him to have to help them. He'd be doing the same on Coruscant again if he hadn't been in the area. The more abominations he witnessed, the more the nightmares worstened, and yet the only thing he could do to combat the nightmares was to fight the abominations. If the bags of stress under his eyes were the teller of tales, they would tell a tale of broken sleep and screaming wake ups.

(The template mentioned PVE/cPvP but I don't mind regular PvP should it happen. I'll defer to the majority. Still Death Disabled.)

OOC: Death Enabled

Kane was helping some slaves escape, trying to start yet another revolution. Even waved his lightsaber around a few times. Everything he had brought with him in the spoiler'd post above is what he has now.

As the slaves began to rush out to escape, the entire group was abruptly tossed back aside towards the Jedi. When the Jedi glanced up, he would see the outline of a figure on a hill waiting for him. There was no mistaking that this was a Sith, and he was adorned in light armor that suggested he was not one for brute force combat.

Azar had gone through a lot to secure Zygerria, and he would be here to defend it against any outsiders. Especially Jedi.

The Force channeled to his hands as he stood there, gazing through the mask on his face as he dared the Jedi to make a move. This was where the Jedi would meet his end. Azar would make sure of it.

A hill fight, how fitting. Kane would have normally been terrified to see a Sith, had he not already faced down an infiltrator abomination. Swords and some lightning, about the only things he knew of the Sith Order, were nothing compared to having a telephone pole thrown at you in the middle of a hallway. No, this time Kane's danger senses were tingling, and he was embracing them.

Kane ignited his lightsaber, bringing the brilliant viridian blade in front of him with his right hand at hip height, the tip of the blade pointing toward the Sith. His left hand stayed back, slightly coiled to his side, at the ready to unleash the Force. Though neither of them had come here to stare at each other.

The Jedi burst forward to close the distance, keeping his hands relatively in the same positions as his feet shuffled him over the distance at the ready to leap or lunge. At lightsaber range, Kane opened with a quick probing jab, moving his blade with one hand forward and straightening his right arm toward the Sith's chest. His left arm stayed coiled beside him, his feet mirroring the positioning with is right foot forwrd and left leg rearward.

Azar didn’t budge initially as the Jedi began his charge, nor did he do anything to blast the Jedi back. As the Jedi did his riposte, Azar moved fluidly, pivoting on his right foot outside of the Jedi’s right flank. His right hand came up to bat away the saber, the Force pooling in his palm. It was not an extensive use of the Force, just enough to brush it back towards the Jedi’s own left side.

At the same time, Azar’s left hand came up in an attempt to slam down towards the fingers enclosed over the saber hilt. The Force laced strike was aimed at making the hand useless or otherwise break the hilt and disarm his enemy. With Azar’s pivot outside of the Jedi’s right flank, the Jedi’s left arm was out of range and his saber was too awkwardly positioned to redirect. Even something like trakata would prove useless.

As Kane's lightsaber was batted to his left, his wrist turned over, putting his hand above the hilt. Kane could fight hand-to-hand, but his lightsaber was his life. Kane's left hand shot across his body just enough to get line of sight with his arm, using the Force create a quick barrier. Kane would still feel the hit, and the Force behind it, but the damage would be minimalized to soreness and a wicked bruise.

Kane shifted his right foot back, squaring his chest back up with the Sith as he bent his right elbow, tucking his lightsaber around his left side with the blade behind him. His left hand was up and open, the Force coiling around it at the ready. Kane's counter-attack was a quick slash toward the Sith's elbows. Because of the distance between them, it would be the last quarter of the blade that would swipe through.
