I'm glad you enjoyed it! I didn't mean to make him completely incompetent. Soon he'll be able to do all that, I just was thinking of his limitations and how I would have RPed him myself (as I tend to down-play my character because I HATE OP characters).
Anywho, if you want a story/character development thread, don't hesitate to ask me. Those be my faves. And don't worry, that doesn't mean combat doesn't happen, it's simply not the focus. A bit more realistic, in my opinion. They're good filler RPs and I find them a bit easier to write in. PM me if you're interested/have ideas/etc.

Normally they have training ones. Usually they make one with their Masters and if they don't get one then later along in their training.
Sometimes some people make characters that have heirlooms from family and have a 'real' lightsaber that way.
Training sabers are normally just during the time they're learning to actually use lightsabers so they don't kill themselves... :/

I'm fine with it being canon if you are. I mean, nothing bad's going to happen. I'm most certainly not a fan of character death/maiming/etc., and it's two Jedi in a Temple, so... yeah.
It's a bit unfair, though, given the age difference, but he's only recently a knight.
