Hello, not-weeb. Please finish your character before poor Calixis-chan has to write with me to pass the time.

Can't really show you the formatting work I put into it, given the switch to XenForo today.
If I was going to shamelessly steal artwork for a character armour then that would be the one.
Well if I don't refurbish it then when it's no longer a weird, sleep-deprived anime face making up every comment I'll at least look somewhat popular... at first glance anyway.

Somebody is up on their history, eh? Which reminds me, I need to see the Waterloo exhibit here before it closes.
Refurbish what? Now I'm confuzzed. pls dont hurt me.

Anyhow, yeah, I'm a big fan of the way the Frogs designed their knightly armours throughout history. Much of the English getup often looked so... basic by comparison? I'm quite fortunate to have a local museum with a huge amount of armour from various periods, about five floors of it I believe.

P.S. I accidentally sent this message to myself and myself alone before I realised it later. Whoops.
It's okay. It's not like this the first time there's been a miscommunication re: "tone" and what is/isn't a joke on the internet, and it probably won't be the last. All that aside though, I'm excited to see what kind of character you come up with. If you need help/have any questions don't hesitate to message me, and I'll help as much as I can.
It looks pretty rubbish aesthetics wise also. I never was much of a robe person. That being said, I've always been in love with Souls' platemail armour designs. Still unique, but very grounded and felt realistic at first glance. No huge PAULDRONS for one thing.

And eh, it's not like I was doing anything else with this space.
One of the things I like in Bloodborne is that aside from a few resistant-specific armour sets, you can more or less wear what you want without the statistics mattering too much. I completed most of the game in the posterboy armour before I unlocked what you see on Eileen/my avatar), albeit earlier on that what I should have due to a certain NPC dying. Me being OCD about my stats AND aesthetic it's a nightmare trying to decide if I want to either look like a clown or have mediocre stats.

I looked up Shin Sekai Yori and all I saw were a bunch of what I assume were anime girls. Sorry, it's just my instinct to ask that when browsing most Chinese cartoons. I'll give it a deeper look and get back to you.
What the **** am I looking at?

Anyway, yeah, I do like how in Bloodborne each of the weapons drastically changes up your playstyle. I'm currently in love with the Blades of Mercy; they have absolutely zero range, but they're so, so, fast and carve up enemies like butter. Excellent in PvP too since they can lock down an opponent who doesn't have the common sense to roll away until they're backed into a corner and screwed. They're also the weapons of the character in my avatar (and now siggie). I hear the Souls games have a much more defensive playstyle to them? Funnily enough, that seems more like my style of gameplay, even if I love Bloodborne.

The enemy designs are my absolute favourite part.
Bloodborne was my first Souls game. Either they dumbed it down, or the whole "OMG IT'S SO DIFFICULT!" stuff was extremely overhyped. It's definitely difficult mind you. That said, the story, atmosphere, soundtrack, worldbuilding, all of it is absolutely brilliant. I love it. If I wasn't so sick of the Medieval fantasy genre I'd grab the other games.

I've started dabbling a little more (cautiously) into weeb shit recently. Psycho-Pass was brilliant, I've been working my way through Full Metal Alchemist. If I start going full kaiwaii and making a blue, spiky haired seventeen year old with a weapon twice their size then you can hold Livu responsible. I think for about... six years the only anime I watched were Hellsing, Berserk and... yeah, that's about it.
    That's correct.

It used to be Bigby from The Wolf Among Us (thus the siggie) but I've not been able to find a suitable Bloodborne replacement.

I have no idea what Chinese cartoon yours is from.
I'm not sure I agree that it's out of place for the setting. Looking at the original trilogy, the prequels, the new films coming out, and the EU, every main character (save for a few monstrosities here and there) are all very conventionally attractive people.

Not to sound like an ass, but it just comes across as insanely hypocritical to have a sig like yours (and to go around complaining/claiming you're too good to write with people) when you don't have a character of your own. If you're going to avoid every single person using a model, actor, or famous pretty person for their character, then good luck. I'm not sure you'll have too many writing partners.
aye m8 thats roit. say otherwise m8 an al hook u rite in the gabba sware on me mam
So, did you have some issue you wanted to talk about?

Edit: That sounded a bit more confrontational than I'd hoped for. The combination of your comment on Miranda's sheet + your signature leads me to believe you have some problem with my character though, and if you'd like to talk to me directly about it, I'll be around!
I can't say I'd blame you if push came to shove honestly.

    Christ, I sound like such a negative-nancy.
That's why a lot of the Mission threads are a source of amusement. A fair number of them turn into pages of proverbial dick-waving about how amazing their plan is and how "Psh... you know nothing.. kid..." (whilst their character is about 20-something) whilst half the thread is later just an even longer contest of who has the bigger dick they can swat NPC armies with. It never ceases to amuse.
Aye, I've never been a lover of introducing 'new' races into the mix. Luckily, they're few and far between. I guess that's the inevitable part of everybody and their mum playing a human (I'm a hypocrite in that regard I must admit).
    Go back to /k/.

That being said, I agree with you. Unfortunately 'logic' doesn't come into it much when people are thinking about how to make their chap the next galaxy shaking "nothing... personnel... kid..." Lord/Mandalore.
