Most traditions are outdated and widely irrelevant. People should be free to break from the old and if they so choose to create new traditions, or follow none at all.

Getting rid of the old only creates new societal problems. Instead it is a sign of wisdom and forethought to adapt the old.

Without traditions you gave no culture. Without culture you have no civilization. It is then simply chaos without purpose.

If tradition has gotten us to where we are, then I'm not sure it's the solution for the future.

I disagree considering how far Western civilization has come. In fact most of our issues are due to the degradation of tradition in culture.

It is incredibly unhealthy to hate ones culture, traditions and history. It shows a level of nihilism that must be corrected
