Garev was leaving a Cantina on Coruscant. Down a dark alley he heard something, but couldn't feel anything through the Force, deciding to investigate he floated down the alley way he heard kicks being thrown, grunting, and gasping for are, but still he could see nothing.

He could feel his feet beginning to touch the ground his pace slowed as he struggled to walk, "What's that over there?" he heard in a rough and raspy tone from down the alley. Garev began to here footsteps and and a woman's voice yelling.

"RUN!" Garev tried to move faster to get back to where he could sense the Force. Using the wall of the alley for support, he move as fast as he could. He could feel his pursuers breathing down his neck, they where toying with him. He stumbled over crates and boxes, reaching the edge of the alley he could feel the Force again. Just as his pursuers reached out for him, he ignited his four lightsabers and reduced them to chunks of cauterized flesh.

"You are safe now, do you need any help?" he called to the young woman down the alley. He could hear her walk towards him, as she near closer he could feel the Force pulling away from him. He fell to his knees, to weak to stand.

"No help needed thank you, but you will be held responsible for the disposal of my men." Garev felt a sharp pain in his neck and then lost consciousness.

Eelaan proceeded to survey the large Coruscantean bar for potential players. He felt hostility. His bulky environment capsule inconvenienced them. It broke their routine. They like their routine. Eelaan surmised that if he cleaned this place out, he wouldn't be able to get out of here alive. The stack of credits that broke the bantha's back, so to speak. Disappointed, he decided to leave back to the streets of Coruscant, consoling himself with the fact he had at least learned to play an interesting card game. However, upon exiting, Eelaan sensed a scuffle on the edge of his perception, and felt the urge to investigate. He knew he shouldn't. Coruscant could be dangerous, and tried to suppress his curiosity. He knew he couldn't.

Garev awoke a few hours later in the same alleyway. He could feel the Force again and none of his possessions had been taken, but he could feel he had a bracer on his right wrist underneath his sleeve that wasn't their before. It began beeping and projected a hologram before him. The voice was familiar,"Good you're awake, for one so small you were difficult to move. I was unable to use the convenience of my lab, so I brought it to you."

Garev was confused,"What did you do to me?" he asked beginning to get angry.

"Temper, temper" she said playfully. "I didn't do anything too bad, I just ensured you'd do as I say until you've repaid me the cost of my lackeys. That beeping you hear is your heart beat, with the push of a button, I can accelerate or slow it to whatever pace I want."

Garev didn't know such a thing was possible, controlling someone's heart rate with the push of a button. "Very well... what would you have me do?"

"Good boy. In the back of the cantina there is a room with a guard at the door, he protects a Rodian slave trader, that own my boss money. You are going to go collect it."

Eelaan brought a tentacle up to his head and curled it, mimicking the humanoid response to deep thought. He couldn't decide if the situation unfurling in front of him was of a light or dark nature. He checked the intercepted transmission and footage of the captured individual again, also checking to make sure he was not missing any hidden meanings, as Basic was not his first language.

After a moment he decided that personal interaction would be the best way to get to the bottom of this interesting little situation. He decided it would be safer and more logical to address the captive person first, and seek out the lady later. Eelaan put away his slicing gear and other monitoring equipment, and decided to go out and meet the Miralukaen back at the cantina.

Garev shook his head and floated back into the cantina. The people inside loud, rude, and intoxicated beyond belief. He glanced around looking for where he was suppose to go.

Eelaan observes the object of his curiosity, regarding it in the same manner as a humanoid would to a creature with three or more legs attempting to stand upright. After assimilating the fact that this man floats rather than walk, Eelaan decided to make him move. Without moving from his booth in the cantina, or giving away his position in any way for that matter, he telepathically contacts the Miraluka.

<Hello young one. You have a story to tell. Would you care to share your lot over a game of cards?>

Eelaan couldn't resist the temptation to play, even if it wouldn't be for keeps.

Garev heard someone speaking to him telepathically. He followed the only telepathic echo to a booth in the corner. Conveniently enough it was right next to the door he needed to get in to. He floated over nodded to the creature that contacted him.

I guess I could spare a few minutes on a game of cards.

As the man floated over to his booth [which of course had had the chairs on his side removed to make room for Eelaan] and took a seat. He telekenetically shuffled a deck of Pazzak above the two individual's heads as he started thinking aloud.

<Hello. My name is Eelaan Netsua. You seem to be in a situation, and I'm willing to help you get to the bottom of it.>

Eelaan brought his tentacles together in front of his face, as if he had brought his elbows on the table.

Really, and how do you suppose you'll be able to do that? Garev asked intrigued that this creature knew his predicament.

<I accidentally stumbled upon your initial confrontation in the alleyway out back. I then proceeded to investigate.>

Eelaan brought the deck of cards down to the table and pushed a data pad across the table containing the recordings of the entire altercation.

<If it comes to a legal matter, at least you can have this as evidence for the court. But I think you may have become involved with individuals that may not be so kind as to take their case to court. Before I continue, could you perhaps tell me your name?>

Eelaan dealt out an opening hand.

My name is Garev Uluc... he said telepathically, then placed his right arm on the table revealing the bracer.

And they've already eliminated court as an option.

ooc: You can speak telepathically as well?

Eelaan had his hand hovering in front of him. He memorized the cards and put it face down on the table. He took a brief moment to analyze all of his opponents possible hands. After he calculated his possibility of winning the round, he returned to the matter at hand.

<I am aware of the bracer. Its technology is also a matter of interest to me. I believe I could remove it, but there is a possibility that I could momentarily stop your heart. Of course, I am also something of a doctor, and Miraluka and humans are so similar in their biology I don't think that should keep you from considering it.>

Eelaan shifts around in his tank.

<Also something that interested me is that you seem to be quite formidable. Miraluka are not a psionic race, but adept is sorcery known as 'Force.' You dispatched your captor's men easily, but she dispatched you with equal ease. Care to elaborate?>

Eelaan motioned with a tentacle for his opponent to pick up his dealt hand.

OOC:Telepathy works differently here so yes I can hold conversations telepathically.

Garev sat for a moment thinking, not sure exactly how to word himself. He looked at his cards and back to Elaan, he wasn't sure how to play this game. He only sat down to see how this creature colud help him out of his situation.

I'm not entirely sure how to explain that either. For some reason when I got close to her or she got close to me, my connection to the Force was severed. But if you can get this off of me then I would be greatly appreciative.

Eelaan strained to make out what Garev said to him. Not being force sensitive, the Force message sounded distant and hollow. This furthered Eelaan's belief that this person was like a dog trying to be like a person, attempting to speak and walk like him, no matter how awkward it became. He then proceeded to repress his feeling of racial superiority.

Eelaan made the presumption that Force was, as its name implied, a force. Applying this to the fact that Miraluka are known for their ability to see through this magic, rather than being sensitive to the more traditional forms of energy, such as light, Eelaan mused that perhaps this Force could somehow be suppress or negated. This conflicted with the general assumption that Force was mysterious and all powerful, but as this could not be proved, it was irrelevant to his hypothesis. And interesting.

Eelaan again focused himself. He examined the bracer attached to the man.

<Perhaps we should go to my ship? I'll have medical facilities and more advanced tools there, in the likely event that this bar does not suffice as a medical bay. Also, someone could be watching us. In which case it is good that this conversation has been inaudible up until now.>

Garev thought back to his conversation with the lady over the com-link on his wrist. She never said how long he had to complete his task. He figured Elaan could have this thing off of him before she even noticed. Garev stacked his cards in the center of the table.

"Very well, you win. I will follow you then."

<Lets walk.>

Eelaan laughed at the irony, as neither would be walking.

<My ship is parked a short ways from here. In that time I'd like to ask you a few questions, that may or may not be applicable to the situation.>

Eelaan floats up and out of the booth, making his way through the cantina like an extremely overweight individual. He ignores the grunts and complaints.

Outside, he begins to float at a brisk walking pace.

<This Force you use, can it be influenced by technology, like suppression fields or energy shields? Or is there some kind of spell some Force-users can cast to a similar effect? By the way, how does the world look with your... eyes?>

Eelaan tried not to let his questions spill over too quickly into his companions mind.

Garev followed slightly amused by Elaan, he seemed so eager to understand him. Floating close behind Garev began answering questions.

"Firstly, The Force, as far as I know is not affected by any technology at this point in time, but there is an intermediate level power that can suppress ones powers and two very advanced powers that temporarily or permanently sever one connection to the Force. And to answer your second question, the world doesn't look too much different from how those with eyes describe it. I still see colors and buildings. I'm just better attuned to the Force and other living things."

<Ah. I suppose that... suffices to sate my curiosity for now. My people do not normally think in Basic. We simply convey thoughts in the most abstract sense. Conversations rarely last more than a moment, and misunderstandings are completely impossible. However, most creatures respond... better if I compose my thoughts in Basic, so here I am thinking it to you.>

For a moment Eelaan lamented not being Force-sensitive, that there was something he would never be able to fully understand. He also lamented at the lack of Force-sensitivity present in his entire race, so there was likely no one to explain it to him in the perfect, Celegian way.

Eelaan composes himself, if it is at all possible to tell if a Celegain is uncomposed.

<That bracer is linked to the woman controlling you. We may be able to trace that link back. While I work on your arm, you would be wise to contemplate how to deal with her ability to sever your Force, should we be unable to resolve this situation peacefully.>

Elaan made a good point, he should think about how to handle this woman who could cut him off from his powers.

They arrive at Eelaan's ship. As they approach the saucer like midsection, he telepathically issued orders for the ship to vent cyanogen to other parts of the ship to cater to his guest's needs. They enter up the boarding ramp and turned into the ships small medbay.

<Let me know if anything stings.>

Eelaan sat Garev down, took out his mechanical, and should they be needed, medical tools, and put himself to work.
