A Good Old Fashion Train Robbery

[The Balance]

Mission:
A certain governor is running low on supplies and is expecting a land delivery from a different part of the planet. Plain and simple we are going to hijack it and turn the supplies over to our cause. This is step one of liberating this planet. Without this supply train, the city will go up in revolt, if we back the resistance, and give the supplies to the people for free instead of the marked up prices the governor would sell them for they would also back the resistance, and if the governor falls his regime falls. IC: Kyle had picked the exact spot where they were to ambush the caraven, it was a valley with rocky cliffs on eitheir side. Kyle had personaly planted explosives on both sides of the valley so that when the caraven came in he could set them off and make escape impossible, he also had the are sweeped for any enemies or enemy equipment and had found none. If any opposition was coming it was going to come from the caraven itself. He looked out into the distance with his electrobinoculars and saw the caraven slowly approaching, its landspeeders going at a moderate pace. Stashing his binoculars away he grabbed his commlink and called out to all the officers, "This is the Midnight Man report in, and tell me your squad's status." Each officer had a squad of five and each squad was different one may have a heavy weapons squad while the other a squad full of snipers. Well Kyle himself he soldiers who were good at medium distance from the enemy just like himself.

 

[Emma Lou]

Adriana decided to aid the people by taking out the Governor, himself. She had not told anyone yet, but she was going to inform Kyle in a few minutes. She had pawned her five men off to Santoro, who also did not know what she was planning. When she heard Kyle come over the comm she plucked hers out of her pocket and held it her lips.

"Midnight Man, this is the Maiden. My men are with Chapter Leader Santoro and I will meet up with you when I am finished with my task"

She did not want to broadcast what she was doing, because she did not want someone to try and stop her. They had enough men to stop the supply train without her. She was wearing a dark uniform and her hair was pulled up. This way she would be hard to detect.

 

[Wing]

Stevie and his five men who were equipped with standard blaster rifles and were scattered behind some large boulders on the valley floor. "This is Stevie, my men are ready, when they pass near us, we'll be right next to them and will be able to board their speeders." He nodded to his men, they knew what they had to do.

IC:Ares and his team where set up in some hills near the hover track, their objective was to blow up the some of the guard speeders and disrupt there formation. His team was set up with heavy duty weapons, including rocket launchers and mortars. " This is Ares, my team and I are set up and waitng for the caravan to make its appearance." He had gotten the mortars on his own accord and would use them to shell the anything that made a hostile look towards his group.

 

[Santoro]

Santoro was laying prone, a little to close to the road than he would have liked. His ten assigned men were behind him, rifles loaded and ready. He had ordered them to use kinetic assault rifles, feeling that a well-defended caravan would be prepared for lasers... It was always best to use the unorthodox. He peered through his electrobinoculars at the caravan, only a few kilometers from the ready point. He pulled his assault rifle closer to him, and ensured the safety was off- no successful raid was pulled off with a melee weapon, lightsaber or not. He sighed, and rolled his shoulders back... He hated laying on the ground.

"Santoro to The Midnight Man, strike team in position."


Just across the valley, Caden sat on a small S-Swoop, hid in the high grass. He had chosen to take his own method- once the train stopped, he'd charge it and give them a taste of his vibrorapier. He smiled, checking the bike.. It'll get him there fast enough. He looked back to check the five riders behind him, all similarly mounted, wielding pistols and force pikes.

"I'm in position. By the way, Adriana, you're butt looks great in those pants." He lowered the electrobinoculars and grinned, taking pride in breaking the military sense of the operation. Santoro nodded in agreement.

 

[Emma Lou]

Adriana, who was trying to concentrate, pulled her comm to her lips again after Caden's comment. If she was not trying to stay hidden she would have found his position and killed him.

"Danderfluff, I suggest you focus on our mission now and keep all obscene comments to yourself"

She was going to kill him one of these days.

 

[Wing]

Stevie looked through his binoculars at everyone else's positions of the Midnight Men. They had the Midnight Man himself and his squad a little ways from himself. He couldn't spot the Midnight Maiden, but he did see Santoro's men near the road. Lastly he spotted Ares and his team in some hills with heavy weapons. Stevie and his men kept their hopes up, their enterprise will thrive today. Ares and his men were the biggest threat so they would need to be taken out first.

 

[The Balance]

Seeing every thing was a go, he spoke into his commlink as the caraven approached, "Okay I'm gonna blast both the entance and exit to the valley once the caraven is fully in the valley until then mantain a radio silence, and Caden pleased keep your thoughts to yourself." Clicking off his commlink he stashed it into his pocket and waited. As the caraven entered the valley Kyle counted the number of speeders as they went by he saw 5 guard speeders and 7 supply sppeders, with one guard speeder in the middle of the caraven, and two at both the front and back. The supply speeders were in between the middle speeder and two speeders at either the front of back. As the last speeder entered Kyle blew up the entrance and exit, rocks covering both. As they tumbled down chaos insued within the caraven, a rock falling on the last speeder. After the dust cleared kyle started to fire apon the guard speeders with his squad and shouting into the commlink he said, "Only go for the guard speeders and aim to cripple not to kill."

 

[Ru the Boatswain]

Inside a supply speeder Ruukil was left alone since the first time in his imprisonment. The guard opened a hatch and hopped out on top to see why the caravan had stopped. 'Now!'Ruukil thought to himself as he wriggled out of the improvised wire cuffs he wore. He ha been captured spying on the caravan, and his full gear sat nearby. 'idiots, they don't know anything about keeping a man still.'Ruukil dropped the cuffs and dashed over to his gear.He snatched up his disruptor pistol and pulled it up to aim at the guard still looking around dumbstruck. '23, thats all i need to remember, 23 crew. but something doesn't feel right... what stopped us anyway?'

OOC: if you don't drop him i will. but since i used some time to get my stuff he might get shot before i can pull the trigger.

 

[Wing]

Stevie looked to his men who had no moved. It was there time to show their true colors. "Men, go! Aid the caravan fire upon the Midnight Men!" Stevie and his men rushed to the caravan and fired at the Midnight Man and his squad. "Don't hesitate! The governor promised us a hefty reward for the head of the Midnight Man!" While firing upon Kyle and his men, Stevie and two of his squad through frag grenades at him.

One of the guards wait as she sees distant forms in the distance. The female human has little knowledge of the governmental regime in the area, since she is an off-worlder who only has been on the planet for a few days. The guard tightens her grip on a blaster carbine as the firefight heats up. What is the meaning of this? The leader of the caravan barked orders to his men to open fire. She glares at the man for a moment, then draws her eyes away. The guard never liked Stevie in the first place. The hired gun is not the typical mercenary: her name is Hattie, and she is a soldier of the Republic. One of those days, the soldier hopes of being able to take part in a more distinguishable job than scouting out worlds, but that time has to wait. The Republic scout has to fend for herself, with her own credits and supplies, since contact with others is strictly forbidden unless under great circumstances. The offer for a job of transporting supplies to a city provided Hattie with the opportunity of a well-paid job. Now the Midnight Men are on the scene: who the hell are they?

 

[Emma Lou]

Adriana felt a disturbance through the Force. It was from the Midnight Man. He was in trouble and she could help him. She decided that the Governor could wait, but she had to take out whoever was attacking her own people. She nudged Santoro through the Force, letting him know that something was wrong. She still wanted him to focus on the mission, but keep his eyes open.

She knew where Kyle was and she headed there. When she came upon the scene she saw that the attacker was Stevie. She should have known. She pulled her vibrosword out and ran for Stevie.

Her grip tightens on a blaster carbine as the fight heats up. What is the meaning of this? She glares at Stevie, barking orders to his men and fighting. Her head turns away before the caravan leader notices. The hired gun is not the typical mercenary: her name is Hattie, a corporal of the Grand Army of the Republic. One of those days, Hattie hopes to be able to take part in a more distinguishable series of missions, but that time has to wait. The Republic scout has to fend for herself, seeking her own credits and necessary supplies, since contact with others is strictly forbidden. The job of transporting supplies gave Hattie the perfect opportunity for a job. However, right off the bat, she found herself on edge with Stevie.

 

[Wing]

Stevie turned and saw the Midnight Maiden running towards him and his men with a vibrosword. "They finally discovered our exchange of hats. Fire on the infidel!" Stevie's men fired at the Midnight Maiden while Stevie dashed inside a supply speeder of the caravan.

 

[Emma Lou]

She ducked behind a nearby rock and pulled out Santoro's lightsaber. She had only practiced a little with it, but she was good enough. She stepped out from behind the rock and started to deflect the blaster bolts with ease.

She got to the first of the men and stabbed him in the chest. He slouched over, dead. She really did not care for the men. It was Stevie she wanted to kill.

 

[Wing]

Stevie ran to the controls of the supply speeder and activated them. He then powered on the speeder and drove it forward into the front two guard speeders which collided with the fallen boulders. After pushing on the guard speeder, the supply speeder starting going over it. He turned on his comm. "Governor, this is Bishop, operation is failing, request additional men. Midnight Men's forces are larger than expected."

 

[Emma Lou]

Adriana pulled out her blaster and started to fire at Stevie. What a coward! she thought angrily. She again turned on his men and pulled out the lightsaber again. He would pay dearly for this.

 

[Lavi]

I'll just have to improvise the difference between IC and OOC))Seeing Stevie flee, Hattie's hatred for the man grew. However, there is a more pressing matter to attend to. She checks the magazine, cocks her carbine, aims... But stops as she sees a lightsaber drawn. Now the scout is completely confused. Is she a Jedi?

 

[T.J]

Ares and his squad saw the betrayal unfold from their vantage point. "Well gents, i think our priorities have changed slightly. Drop your heavy weapons and follow me" he said as he jumped on a speeder and revved the engine. His men followed suit and soon they where racing down the hillside towards the battle that was raging. He jumped off the speeder as it neared the location, it kept going and rammed one of the guard speeders. Ares had his repeater out at this time and opened fire on those attacking Midnight man and Midnighht maiden.

 

[Wing]

Seeing that supply speeder was only going no where, and stopped when the front half of it crushed the top of the guard speeder in front of it, and that the Midnight Maiden was firing at him with a blaster, Stevie left the front seat of it and jumped into a crate and closed the top of it.
