(Open to all Jedi and approved partners, ask @Vosrik if you're not a Jedi but want to come. Feel free to jump right in and not wait for Maksem as I'll be gone for a few weeks!).

Maksem had checked his list, and made it twice. Alcohol, check. Delicious meat and cheese pies from Bilbringi, along with assorted delicacies and appetizers. Decent, if somewhat tacky holiday music, check. Decking out the tree at the center of the Dantooine temple with various baubles, check. Mistletoe arranged in strategic positions to ensure maximum hilarity and embarrasment, check. Everything needed for a great holiday party. He really did not know that much about Wookiee culture if he was being honest, but he liked looking for any excuse to drink and to blow off a little bit of steam, and he suspected that they would not care that much about a little cultural appropriation.

The best thing was I managed to get Vosrik to pay for this all, for the purposes of "Army morale". SCORE!

He had actually bothered to get dressed up, forcing himself into nice, fitting robes for once and trimming his beard, for he was expected to meet someone at this party. A certain...catty lady, literally, he had taken a liking to recently, and he wanted to impress her, at least a little. That, and he knew Lanna and Yva would tease him if he did not look at least somewhat respectable. He would arrive a bit later at the party than everyone else due to his extra preparations, but he could not wait to hear and see how his fellow Jedi interacted with one another.

Rokuro finally was out of his break, just in time for Life day and hearing about the fun and celebrations. Not just that, but Lanna had forced him to attend this party, meet the Jedi General and to communicate with other Jedi again. He had travelled all the way from Corellia all the way to Dantooine so Rokuro was already in a slightly bad mood. So when he arrived, Rokuro didn't have high expectations however he was more than impressed at all the decorations.
He held his wrapped gift for Lanna under his arm as he stepped into the party

He smiled at all the misteltoe and made a small mental note to avoid them around Lanna before walking around all the smart Jedi, however his face lit up when he saw all the alcohol and various other refreshments. He only took one glass at the moment, knowing Lanna would scold him if he was completely drunk.

Lanna was somewhere towards the back of the designated party area, by the snacks and drinks. The food all looked familiar, because it came from the world she had just finished up executing a very important mission on.

Before that, she had an adventure equivalently wild to her mission, on Corellia.

She popped a cube of cheese into her mouth. Just as she had done so, her eyes widened, seeing Rokuro somewhere by the refreshments table. He had actually decided to come. She swallowed the piece of food, hard, and made her way over to him.

"Hey! I must say, I'm surprised to see you here. The General did a pretty nice job on the decorations, eh?" And... You look nice."

Her eyes lit up at his fancy attire. She herself, was wearing a fairly nice outfit. A simple black dress seemed about it right for the occasion.

She took note of the glass of alcohol in his hand, and smiled. "You're actually pretty early."

Rokuro felt her through the force before he saw her, recognising Lanna before he saw her, he grabbed a drink before turning, slightly taken aback about how good she looked.

"Hey! I must say, I'm surprised to see you here. The General did a pretty nice job on the decorations, eh?" And... You look nice."

Rokuro gave a nervous laugh before speaking to her, trying to keep the blush off his face and failing miserably at it. "Thanks... You look amazing too! The General really did, though I haven't seen him yet, though rumours are circulating that he made the Lord pay for it all!" He laughed slightly, slightly flustered so he took a quick swig of his drink

"So tell me, what kind of adventures have you gotten into since we last saw each other."

Yvannia surveyed the scene. After a long day helping her master set up this party, she could finally take part in its revelries. And quite early, too. Adorned in her finest attire, she'd be lying if she didn't want to make an impression. The foods emitted a fine aroma, the decorations were festive, and the booze was plentiful; she had a feeling this'd be a great party.

She stopped to consider this for a moment. When'd she start putting so much importance on alcohol? Had Maksem really gotten to her so quickly? It came as a bit of a shock to her that she'd taken up such a habit without even being conscious of the fact she was doing it. To her surprise, she could see she was evidently not the only Jedi interested in this particular inclusion, a small group seemingly forming around it.

Seems Mak isn't a total oddball, then. Maybe we're all weird. Maybe only oddballs think this whole 'Army' thing's a good idea. Or maybe we're all actually a mass of alcoholics, taking up this whole 'crusade' thing as an excuse to sample beverages from throughout the cosmos, defeat the Sith in drinking games.

She somehow found the idea of a bunch of drunk old master Jedi and Sith lords facing each other in a battle of livers quite bemusing.

Who knows? Maybe we can party them to death.

Returning to the matter at hand, she largely kept to herself near the edges of the party. She'd never had many friends in the Order nor in the Army, so she wasn't exactly here for anyone in particular, though she was still determined to carve out some fun for herself amongst the partygoers. She grabbed a glass of booze and sipped from it, watching as new arrivals poured in.

Lanna laughed, seeing that Rokuro was striking up a conversation.

"Well, I strategically took down the Bilingbri Times for the Order. It was quite a bit of work, and took some diggging, but I found all the information I was looking for, and eventually my work came to a close. With the help of my trusty partner of course. I didn't complete the mission alone."

She looked around a bit, sensing a friend. "Yva!" She waved, gesturing from across the room for her to come over. She was beautifully dressed. Yva always seemed to pay close attention to detail, and the way she preferred things to be. And the result, was quite gorgeous.

"I made you something. And since we are celebrating and stuff, I thought I'd give it to you now."

She opened the small bag over her sholder, and fished out an object. Opening her palm to face upwards towards her friend, there sat a carefully woven bracelet. There were little gold beads on it, set over dark blue twine.

"I made it. And it took several hours to figure out, so I hope you like it."

Life day. Bah hum bug.

The elder Jedi walked with little excitement in his pace. Every year the Jedi found a way to put on some form of a show for Life Day, but it never seemed to truly catch the spirit of what it truly was about; Life. As he walked he found his mind wandering on the idea of perhaps this year it would be different. A small smile would form on his face at the initial thought, but the grimace that had locked itself on his face since arising from meditation and realizing just what holiday had fallen upon them returned itself not long after.

Walking into the main hall of the party he came to see a mess of unfamiliar faces. Come to think of it.. Andrei had often kept to himself and he almost reassured himself tonight would be no different. A mere glance at the spectacle that was a fairly well decorated party and to give thanks to those that put it all together and he would go back to his study. Letting out a sigh at the ladder thought his brow could only rise when he spotted an unopened bottle of Corellian Wine displayed as a centerpiece where the drinks were located. Even the elder Jedi who despite his age still looked in his mid twenties was able to find some joy in the... spoils of self-indulgence. Taking a firm grip on the neck of the bottle a slight application of the Force would pop the unopened vessel with an audible snap before he poured it into one of the many glasses that were also set out.

"I made you something. And since we are celebrating and stuff, I thought I'd give it to you now."

He would hear a woman's voice from not far address another one of the Jedi in the room which spiked his interest. Staying at ears reach of the conversation but out of the immediate range of being deemed an eavesdropper he'd take a long sip of the sweet alcohol. The mixture of wild berries and fermentation slithering down his pipe and to his stomach with an all too familiar burn which nearly distracted him from the gift exchange. Turning away from his nosing in he would work his way across the main floor; a half filled glass of wine in one hand and a nearly full bottle held loosely within the other.

Rokuro smiled at her mission success and couldn't help but feel happy for her success. "Nice! I cant wait to get back into the swing of things! I just need to get back to doing things after a vacation."

He let her wander off to a fellow person she knew, and he followed slightly behind, keeping his lifeday present hidden from her. After all, she was doing it to another person. However he noticed his glass was empty and he sauntered away for another refil

Graurra heard that that there was a Life day holiday party made by the jedi,it wasnt actually the life day,but Graurra was happy that the other jedi wanted to participate in his traditions, and it wasnt much diferentes from the real Life Day party,so Graurra throught that It could actually go well. The wookiee jedi had only one problem, there was normal alcohol only, nothing strong enough to make Graurra feel anything.

Anyway,he could survive without alcohol this party, but since he didnt know anyone from the party at the moment,he would just eat some food, which looked delicious

Shae had debated a million times whether to appear at a social gathering or not. The last time she had shown up on a Dantooine conclave, she had been the subject of more than a few share of glares. She didn’t expect this time to be any different, but it was after she had done several missions for the Jedi and had won her battle on Onderon. Her actions thus far only spoke to her loyalty to Jedi, but she knew there were many within the army that would never accept her. It was something she fully prepared to cope with.

Instead of Jedi robes, she chose to wear a form-fitting navy blue dress that hugged her curves. It had been some time since she had felt confident enough to wear tight-fitting clothing since she had her daughter. Though she still felt self-conscious, she actively pushed the thought aside. Her silvery hair was up in curls, falling above her shoulders lightly. Shae could hear the music before she ever entered, shifting nervously as she heard the voices of laughter and chatter. She hoped it wouldn’t all come to a silence as she arrived. She fully prepared to turn and leave if things got ugly.

As she walked in, she couldn’t recognize anyone right off the bat. She once had many friends within the Jedi ranks and it pained her to think that she may have played a role in ending their lives on Tython. Pushing the thought from her mind, Shae quietly made her way over to the food, helping herself to a glass of wine and standing as far from the main throng of people as possible. For now, she simply watched the activities and friendly atmosphere. Even if she could only admire it from a distance, it brought a smile to her face.

Rokuro had spotted someone who had spiked his interest and he couldn't help but feel the urge to talk to her. Shae. One of the most infamous bombers of Tython were Jaleer had died in and Tamara had been caught in the bombs and the flames. Where so much sorrow and grief had spawned from. From her and the rest of the bombers. He had gotten over Kyrene and the majority of the 'traitors' however he had never actually had a word with Shae before. He found her to be rather fascinating. Traitor, mother and lover to the ex-supreme leader who also seemed to enjoy being over at the other side.

He found himself after his refill, making his way over to her curiously but with a smile to try and make her feel safe. Or maybe just to calm himself down, his smiles hid his fears. He walked over nervously, before offering a small bow of his head.

"Hi! I'm Rokuro. I've heard about you from Kyrene, I helped her out and did some minor mentoring for her when she arrived."

Mikkel wasn't the social type as most probably would have guessed. Most Jedi haven't even met him, his brother, on the other hand, was fairly famous within the army. After the battle of Onderon, he went missing and haven't heard anything about him. Mikkel entered the party surveying his surroundings, his heightened sense of hearing annoying him greatly as he overheard most of the conversations before he walked through the door.

The Knight rarely drunk alcohol but doing so now would affect his medical treatment. He decided to pick a corner and eavesdrop on some of the surrounding conversations if he didn't get answers he would turn to some of the more seasoned Jedi to find out any more clues.

Taking note of the mistletoe spread around, Mikkel covered his face with his hood as he tried to identify anyone at the battle where Brand was. He needed to make a daring escape that cost him severe burns and almost his life as he encountered another Sith almost immediately after the battle before he could recover from his wounds.

Braedon sipped slowly at his drink, having forgone the alcoholic beverages of the evening in favor of simple water. Even now, months after first meeting then General Brand on Dantooine, Braedon still struggled to feel at ease among the Jedi. Old habits, he supposed, would never fully go away, and for the Thrysian a lack of trust has a habit born from betrayal after betrayal. He had once heard someone say that you had to trust someone to be betrayed, so the solution to end such experiences was simple to him.

He wore attire that had seemed formal enough for the occasion: a sleek black jacket worn over a simple white short, with a pair of long black pants accompanying it. If push came to shove, Braedon knew that he would still be able to fight to his full potential even wearing his formal clothing, but he saw now that the other guests of the party had put form over function, the net result being that he looked almost as if he was under-dressed. Well hidden within the jacket lay the Thrysian's Lightsaber; trust truly wasn't the Jedi's strong suit.

He noted a few members of the Order that he recognized, by reputation if not by personal experience. Yvannia had been present on Ilum when the Death Watch had raided the world, but Braedon could most certainty not say that he knew the young women. Shae Vis, on the other hand, was someone who he had never interacted with on a personal level, but was instead someone that he recognized from the recent conclave on Dantooine. Like him, Braedon saw, she stood on the outskirts of the party.

The man might even had gone to speak with her, but the sudden presence of a younger man put a halt to his steps. Instead, he resumed his place leaning against the temple wall, sipping at his ice cold water and watching the proceedings as they unfolded.

Before Andrei's backside could hit the seat the room had almost changed. His view of the room gave him an array of faces to take in, but the one that everyone seemed to be drawn to was the former traitor to the Jedi, Shae Vis. The Knight had of course heard of her, but like most hadn't had the opportunity to meet the woman. Raising the glass to his lips once more he took a long slow sip from the wine and held it in his mouth; his eyes falling shut. Inhaling an even longer and deeper breath while swallowing the alcohol his senses began to extend out from where he sat.

Nerves.

They were everywhere. Despite that feeling which swelled in the bellies of most of the crowd there was no tension. There was instead a stillness in the air, a lingering question floating within every Jedi's mind that he was sure Knight Vis was more than aware of. Could they trust her. The thought that crept into his own mind brought a smile to his face, an odd expression for such a dark thought.

Narrowing his senses to the woman, to Shae Vis, he was met with a cold wall. It held a warmth to it that was familiar to all Jedi, but her walls were in place. Her own nerves protecting her behind that veil of a smile. There was a spark deep within the woman, a surge of happiness and what she was seeing and he could feel it as if the emotion were his own. A feeling which even warmed him from the inside, but not before the fear, the unease, and trepidation of another ran over himself; enough so that it caused Berrak's own eyes to open to see just was occurring. What he saw was Rokuro going in for an introduction with the infamous Jedi. Tilting his head and raising a brow this interaction peaked his interest. This was when he would see just who the real Shae Vis is, not what she was.

After Lanna gave Yva her gift, she followed her friend Rokuro to the woman standing on the outside of the room. She was pretty, and definitely seemed to be avoiding the other people. Or at least, the young Jedi thought. It was strange to her how everybody seemed to sit back and observe everyone else. Lanna did it to, but she was not so self conscious. At least, not over big things. she cared deeply about looking presentable, being too jumpy, excited, and bending over in her skirt. The girl knew those things were silly, but she could not help but want people to think she was professional, and responsible.

However, a hand full of other faces in the crowd, not so much. A few seemed to have quite deeply rooted insecurities, including the woman, Shae.

Lanna crossed her arms, ready to officially observe. She had never met her before, but she had heard plenty of stories. She smiled politely, and fiddled with her hands, popping her knuckles one by one. She simply waved a bit, and let Rokuro do the talking for the time being.

Eyes. They were on her, from every angle. Whispers began, judgments were made. Everyone was careful not to outright say anything. She could only wish they were looking at her because she could finally fit into a tiny dress again, but no…they were looking at her because of her past sins. Her reputation preceded her in the worst possible way. Shae rocked on her heels, looking around for a spot to place her drink and book it as fast as possible from the event.

This was a social gathering for happy, carefree people and she simply brought darkness into it. She was a taint, a thorn and a topic to gossip about. No one would see her for her anymore, and no one would bother to understand. Though no one outright glared, she knew there was discomfort. Shae was just about to turn away when a boy approached her. She half expected to get an earful from him, probably a child misled by the toxic mutterings of older Jedi masters.

As he spoke, however, Shae was stunned. There was no malice in his tone. On the contrary, he simply appeared to be nervous at the prospect of talking to someone new. For now, Shae focused on him and blocked out all the other stares and judgments cast her way. She herself was nervous, offering a sheepish smile, “H-Hi. I’m Shae,” she awkwardly reached out a hand to shake his.

“Kyrene is my best friend,” The thought brought a faint smile to her face, the first since she had walked into the gathering, “I don’t recognize anyone here. I hope I can get to know people again…..if they give me a chance that is,” She muttered the last sentence under her breath. Shae’s eyes looked over at the other Jedi that had moved closer towards her. She could only hope they would be as kind as this Rokuro boy.

Mikkel usually stayed far away from other Jedi so being out of the loop came with the territory. Normally, he was where he was needed and the constant feeling of uselessness that hovered over him wasn't helping the situation. A bitter taste appeared in his mouth. Half the galaxy was being set ablaze and most of the Jedi here where either children or comatose. He'd leave the party and join the battlefield where the real warriors congregate.

Slowly limping out of the venue, Mikkel did hear a familiar voice. Looking over his shoulder he recognized the voice from a few months ago when he was defending a camp from a Sith invasion. Never forgetting a voice he soon realized that she was one of the Sith who burned down the camp along with the other Sith she mentioned, Kyrene. As the others began to crowd around her, Mikkel scrunched his nose as he looked back in disgust.

The masters will be interested in hearing in this He thought, no doubt she was trying to corrupt our youth by appearing here. The Knight would leave before she showed them how to consume alcohol like barbarians and party like savages and whatever else came from such unclean beings.
