No press would be allowed, President Hadrain had said about the meeting between the the heads of the SRI and Sri lanka. He had learned from his mentor that if you ever wanted to get something done it had to be behind closed doors, any fool could shake hands in front of millions. Following true to this statement, the meeting was taking place in the new capital building in bombay.

As he waited, he realized how eager the Sri Lankans had seemed in joining the new Socialist Alliance. Since the nation was already a socialist republic like India, Hadrain didn't see any problem with the alliance. After all with the world's tension on edge as they were nations had to stick together.

Also considering the actions of the other nations in Asia, something needed to be done to persuade Japan to halt in their conquest. India itself was frightened at the events that were unfolding, but it still had to remain strong since it was the stronger of the two nations at the meeting. Maybe if the two nations joined together they could show Japan that further violence wasn't necessary, Hadrain thought as he waited.

Reflecting on it now, the alliance already seemed a sure thing and possibly more could happen during the meeting. All this meeting was really called for was to cement the deal.

OOC: You may now post the messages of your nations.

Message to the President of India

Greetings Mr. President, on behalf on the United States, I would like to confirm our alliance. We recently allowed the Japanese to resize their military as much as they saw fit. However, if any harm to your citizens comes from them, expect us to honor our alliance and to intervene accordingly. We hope to strengthen ties between us for the good of the world. Thank you.

Signed

If the people of Sri Lanka has publically supported their annexation to India, Singapore will hold no objections.

The meeting was a quick one, and President Mercer was glad of that, he had much more work to attend to. Shaking the Sri Lanakan head of state's hand one final time, he saw the man exit the conference room. As soon as the sri lankan was out of sight, he quickly moved to his office to check on his messages. Finding nothing but general support and assurances from the other world leaders, he thanked them and then set back to work on his next task.
