"That perfectly fine my friend, I don't believe here has faulted you for anything. To each his own."

Garev sat back in his chair once again, at which point he signal for the droid to bring him water.

"It is the other native language of Twi'leks. It's spoken with their head tails and I don't think they were talking about you either soldier."

Garev explained as he received his water and drank from it before setting it down.

You can actually move those things!? I thought they were there to store fat or something. I guess you do learn something new every day.

Being on Coruscant - home of the galactic senate, great ecumenopolis of the core worlds, bastion of culture and civilization - instigated on Beka both feelings of joy and hate. Joy for she fell thrilled at exploring the enemy's nest, laughing on the face of it's drones dressed as authorities, challenging their inability to see anything not in front of their eyes. Actually, she was right there in front of their eyes - and the hate came from this fact. Not because she was desperate for attention (well, not this kind of attention), but because the same thing happened beneath the gleaming surface of skyscrapers covering the planet, on it's lower levels, where the poor and the forsaken struggled to survive from the scraps of their "superior" neighbors. The so-called authorities of the Republic weren't just blind; they simply were utterly oblivious to anything that didn't belonged to their "civilized" facade.

Still, Beka needed to be on the Queen of the Core, so there she went. She was running low of friends - most of them were her father's friends, so they were dead already (like him), or retired as a mean to avoid the same fate. Nar Shaddaa was way too far from her current position. To find what she was looking for, she needed to make some new acquaintances, and Coruscant was the place for that. She almost didn't believe when, after all those years away from Republican space, her fake ID papers checked in just fine at the spaceport. Her small rented freighter slided throught the atmosphere and landed easily on the proper pad. Then, it's pilot slided through the crowded streets - a steady hand near to her blaster holster, just as precaution - aiming for the most adequate locations to meet new contacts: the bustling cantinas of the city-wide planet.

She started searching by talking to bartenders, playing chance games with the occasional shady type, or just watching passers-by while drinking some Corellian whiskey - her favorite brew. After the third try, however, she decided that it was better to be found than to find out her target - eventually someone would notice her, and luckly, offer something illegal. Even so, by the fourth cantina she hit, a familiar face came out in front of her eyes, replacing her already bored face with a renewed smile of enthusiasm. She just strengthened her red lipstick and made her move towards the table occupied by the exquisite group.

"Well, well, may Tatooine's suns burn my eyes, if it's not Chrco Crsew, my favorite Twi'lek-for-hire. Remember me?"

The girl stood right in front of the table, eyes focused on the man she directed her words, one hand still resting on her hips near the blaster holster, and a fine smirk still resting on her crimson lips.

Chrco looked at the soldier, fixing him with an icy glare. "Yes, we can move 'these things,' as you so bluntly put it. Yes, they do store fat, but they also contain part of our brain, and there are muscles in them. I can't say your tactfulness impresses me, soldier. I can understand why they put you on dock duty."

Chrco received his second ale, and as he took a drink, he heard a vaguely familiar voice say, "Well, well, may Tatooine's suns burn my eyes, if it's not Chrco Crsew, my favorite Twi'lek-for-hire. Remember me?" He looked up in the direction of the voice, and nearly spit out his ale. He managed to swallow it, as memories of a mission he took early in his bounty hunting career came back to him...

He'd been assigned to retrieve an artifact that has significant sentimental value to a wealthy client. It, however, was claimed to be the property of a poorer family, as the client told him. He did his job as he was supposed to, finding the artifact. However, a female had shown up, also looking for the thing, but for the poorer folks. She preached the oppression of the lower-class by the upper to him before attempting to wrest the object from him. The struggle not only caused the object to fall into a deep, narrow crevice, where it was unreachable, but it also caused his left arm to be gashed on a sharp rock, leaving an impressive scar on his left bicep. This was that female!

Chrco came back to the present, his right hand going up to rub the scar unconsciously. "I'd say it was a pleasure to see you again, but I'm afraid I'd be lying...Beka, isn't it?"

hey now Take it easy big guy! I didnt mean to offend you, i apologize. I hope you do the same for that little comment about my amazing dock guarding skills. Killeth said in a sort of sarcastic tone. He hadn't realized he touched a nerve about the earlier comment, but that was in the past and cant be changed. However he wished his apology would ease any unwanted tension.

"You remembered. Excellent. It means I've left a lasting impression on our last meeting."

The girl replied with a satisfied tone. She bended over the table, placing both hands on it, relaxing on her guard after the initial contact. Her hazel eyes quickly scanned each person sitting around with a intrigued expression. Nothing wrong with them - at least superficially - 'till she glimpsed the republic soldier. An eyebrow raised on her face as a small sign of disgust, but it didn't bothered her enough to take away the merry smile from her lips.

"You seen better than the last time, blue boy; but still got a bad taste company."

She added friendly, showing her contempt for the officer, but joking with the fact she was one of those companies as well.

"Still playing errands for the upper classes? Don't bother aswering this one. I'm not here to tease you - well, not as first priority - but to discuss business. I've been looking for the last couple of hours for someone just your type. Care if I join in or must I wrestle a chair from you, too?"

By the time she pronounced these words, Beka was already taking on a seat, crossing her legs and resting her left hand near the holster once again (just as precaution), besides ordering a Corellian whisky to the nearest attendant droid. Then she turned back her attention to table and nodded cordially to the unknown faces.

"Captain Beka Seamus of the Riskbreaker. Nice to meet you all. On what kind of trouble has my blue friend put you in?"

Garev sized the newcomer during her introduction. She had a connection to the Force he could tell that much, but it was wild and unchecked. With training she could be rather powerful.

"Garev Uluc, of the Vis Vares, a pleasure to meet you. And no need to worry your friend has caused no trouble, we were just having a drink. You are welcome to stay as long as you like."

Her green eyes cut deep into the newcomer. Scanning, scrutinizing every detail of this new woman. There was something about her that Goola deeply disliked, what it was, however, she didn't have a clue. The fact she knew Chrco so well only meant she was nothing more than another bounty hunter to worry about.
Whatever the case was, Goola had to play it cool. Keeping a calm mind in the midst of a storm had surprisingly gotten her out of many problems in the past.

The rusty old droid finally came up to the table and with another small nod, left behind a tray with one big cup on it. Goola picked it up and sipped the bitter liquid in it while listening to the woman introduce herself.
"Captain Beka, huh? So tell me captain, what do you do for a living?"
She asked this with her gaze still fixed on the other Twi'lek sitting across.

Killeth glanced at the new woman at the table. She appeared to be the sketchy type, and her occupation probably confirmed that. She was probably in some form of illegal activity since she took awhile too answer the Twi'leks question.
So are you going to answer the ladies question or not. I too am interested in what you do.

Allana slowly slipped into the tavern, wanting to get a bite of real food to eat. After ordering a bit of Correllian spiceloaf and a water, Allana started to eat. That group in the corner seems a little fishy. With her bit of force sensitivity, she felt a lot of tension over there. Best to be careful. She itched at the long healed reminders of her depression on her wrists, as she always did when she was nervous.

"No trouble at all? I'm surprised. Usually, whenever a bounty hunter goes, he is either chasing trouble or fleeing from it. And I've heard of this Vares before - it's a fine ship, able the evade most pursuers, as far as I know. If you're at it's helmet, I must say you've already won a measure of my respect."

Beka added the comment with a bit of curiosity - wondering just how the man could pilot a ship with a sight impairment. When the drinks arrived, She raised her cup and murmured some sort of toast to herself - "may there always be another star" - before taking half of its contents at one shot. The liquid burned her throat and she left the fires come out as a pleased sigh. Then, she bended once again over the table - resting one of her elbows on it and her chin on the hand - to speak at a more personal range to the questioning Twi'lek woman.

"Captain, indeed. As for what I do for a living, my main occupation for the most part of my life has been redistribuing richness through the galaxy - recovering for people what was stolen from them by those who abuse their powers. Since I don't know exactly what brings the uniformed man here, I won't go into further details right now. But perhaps we should discuss this subject later once again - I may have some sort of proposition to make to you. You seen just the kind of woman who could help me wity my craft."

The young pirate felt part of Goola's distrust, so she decided to assume a more serious - and honest - tone to answer the girl, recognizing on her a fellow scoundrel. With another shot at the cup, Beka swallowed the rest of her drink - this time catching on the corner of her eyes an unexpected observer.

"Alas, I see you are interested on what I do, but I don't even know your names yet. If you introduce yourselves as well, maybe we can play cards or something else - besides having our much needed drinks, of course!"

Allana shifted nervously. The human woman unnerved her. It was like an itch she couldn't scratch off. Why am i so nervous? Slowly readying her pistol, Allana had the other hand lightly itch her wrist. "calm down, you'll be fine. she whispered to herself.

Killeth once again glanced at the weird and diverse characters all sitting around the cantina. He spotted a new human lady who was sneakingly readying her weapon. Killeth would be damned if he let anything like yhat go down while he was around. He surly new if her weapon went off she would be killed in an instance since most people in the cantina were the shady type.
Killeth excused himself in a coy manner and left to go toward the young lady. He sat down next to her and greeted himself. Hello, my name is Killeth. May i buy you a another drink? It will help calm you down. That last comment was a hint that he knew she was potentially going to use her weapon with deadly consequences.

Allana looked over at the trooper, hearing the concern in his voice. well, sure. i do need something to settle my nerves. Putting her weapon up with the same care she'd taken to draw it, Allana started to chill. But she wasn't exactly settled. she noticed me, i don't feel exactly safe. Keeping her spare hand on her waist, Allana had a viroblade in reach. just incase

Do you mind if I were to ask your name? Killeth was intrigued by the women around his age. He then called over to let the young lady order her beverage. She was already loosening up, but she was still alert. It is good to be alert and on guard as long as it isnt so obvious, when you do bad stuff usually occurs.

"See, that's the reason she gave me this scar right here." Chrco held his arm up to show the long scar running along his bicep. "She wants to give money back to the poor, while I have no choice but to work for the rich. Apparently, that makes me as bad as the rich who won't share what they have with the poor." If only she knew where most of my income goes...but that's neither here nor there... though Chrco with a slight upturn of his lips. He looked at the empty glass in front of him and signaled the old waiter droid again. Then he looked back to Beka. "So, what brings you all the way to Coruscant? I would have imagined the division between the rich and poor on this planet would be far too much for you to handle," Chrco said, keeping a straight face as he took his new drink from the droid.

Goola glanced back at the woman who's face came closer to answer. Her orange hand quickly grabbed the mug near her and sipped some more of the bitter liquid while listening. It tasted horrible, but it somehow made the situation a bit less stressing.
She finally put the metallic mug down, now empty, and looked up. Her eyes narrowed as she gave back a fake smile to the woman. Her stained lips pursed in a moment of silence.
"Yes..well, I think it would be better if we discussed this in..private some other time."
Her green eyes once again stared down, avoiding eye contact with others. She tightened her brown cloak and gave out a small sigh.

The incoming droid snapped her out of the deep thoughts. She now noticed the Republic guard had left to talk to someone else. Goola also looked up to the other Twi'Lek man sitting across from her.
To think..my same race here, and he's the only one I have to be careful with.

She eyed his every move, as he picked up the new glass from the droid and drank it. "Don't you think you've had enough?" she said in a low voice and with a small smile.

Well, sure. It's Allana. Watching the droid walk over, Allana kinda knew what she'd get. I'll have a small Corellian ale. Best to keep my wits about me, shouldn't drink too much. Allana slowly loosened up, calming down as she got settled into the cantina. But, she knew. The second her guard was let down, she'd be doomed.
