Maeva had left Korriban several days after her knighting. She was ready to find something exciting to do, which she soon discovered there was not much. She made her way to Citadel Station to regain her barrings on life. She had recently killed her husband and even though she hated him it was not something to get over easily.

She found herself in a dark, overcrowded cantina. She took a seat in the back and ordered a strong Corellian ale. She had her hood covering half of her face and her lightsaber hooked safely onto her belt. She wanted to be ready if anything interesting happened. Maeva sipped her drink, knowing something would happen soon.

Avare' had been tracing Maeva since their return to Korriban, he had been told by the Order to keep tabs on her. It was his own choice on how to handle the mission and he found it to be easiest if he simply came in contact with her 'unexpected.' Boarding Citadel Station Avare' looked around slowly, hidden away from most of the civilians thanks to his cloak. He would've just come off as a traveler as it wasn't uncommon to see the citizens hidden away by their wardrobe. Feeling Maeva's presence comming from the Cantina he headed that way...

Maeva downed her first glass as soon as she felt Avare's presence. She ordered two more, one for herself and one for Avare'. She knew he would find her soon. She did want to know why he was following her since her training was over.

The durasteel doors hissed open and the Sith Knight stepped into the populated Cantina. Looking around slowly he took in everyone that was there, then his eyes focused on Maeva, his former Apprentice. Slowly making his way towards his fellow Sith, and former Peer he took a seat next to her. Staring at the drink in front of him for some time he finally picked it up and brought it to his cracked lips. Taking in the strong alcohol he let out a sigh before looking to Maeva.

"What brings you to Telos, my former Apprentice?"

His words were soft, only audible to the woman to his left.

Maeva took a drink of her ale before looking over at Avare'. She had a much better question for him, but she would answer his first.

"I am not sure. I just needed to get off Korriban and I am not going back to Corellia anytime soon"

She knew that Corellia would havve probably been a good pace for her to go. She could keep an eye on the new Governor and make sure he was sticking to the rules that the Sith laid down for him.

"A better question, my former master, is what are you doing here?"

He smiled from behind the hood, he knew his reasons for being here though the Sith were based on lies and deceit... two things he was marvelous at. Looking over into his former apprentices eyes he gave her the answer.

"The Telos restoration project has uncovered something... interesting. A holocron in the wastelands, they had enclosed the area with shielding and put in some planet life making it possible to live in the sector. I have word the Ithorians there may have uncovered a Sith artifact predated of the Jedi Civil War... it brings much interest to me and I've come to see if I can get any word on this..."

Taking another short sip off th Ale his lips grew into the mischievous smirk it often had crept upon it.

"...my last lesson to you my former Pupil... use it. Meditation can clear much, and empower you, it is wise to Meditate often..."

Maeva did not believe him for a second, but she did not feel like pressing the issue. She took another drink then stared at him.

"Thank you for the sage advice. I would like to know why you felt like tracking me down"

He almost laughed, at least his former apprentice was smarter than she looked. She hadn't shown much wisdom with him so it was good to know that there was some hidden behind the looks. Setting the Corellian Ale down he looked at her for a moment before speaking.

"Foolish mistakes is what will destroy the Empire... I'm watching out for you my former pupil. There are those out there who divulge our secrets, I'm reassuring the Empire, and myself that you are truly with the Sith. With my acceptance comes the Empires' ...that and I feel there are things I can teach you still, and you the same with me."

Maeva raised an eyebrow. Had she not shown enough loyalty to the Sith? She had already killed her husband and forced herself into a loveless life. She downed her ale in one more drink then glared at Avare'.

"I am not trusted? I have given up everything and I am not trusted?"

She knew he was trying to make her angry and it was working. No one questioned Maeva Lyndrose's loyalty...no one.

He smirked and finished up the Ale just as she had, it seemed her loyalty would no longer be in question, though there would always be doubt, even if she were a Sith Lord. Sliding the glass down the bar to purposefully make the object shatter once it hit the end of the bar he turned to Maeva. Standing and reaching out he took her throat in his right hand and leaned in close. He had struck with a quickness that seemed nearly impossible for his build and race, something he had nearly surprised himself with as he looked into his Pupil's eyes.

"You have given up nothing... you only destroyed what you thought was taken away!"

His clench on her throat only tightened before finally releasing to give her the breath of air he knew her form would desire. Though he was unsure how she would react to his notion he was prepared for anything.

Maeva let out a breath then called for her lightsaber. It snap-hissed to life and the red blade eliminated the cantina. She was really starting to hate Avare' and the real reason she had left was because she wanted time alone. He had come though and disturbed her, lied to her, and now attacked her.

"I am not your pupil anymore!"

She did not lunge, but instead stood there with her lightsaber lit.

He smirked at the not ignited blade, did she truly wish to fight him? It would undoubtably be her death should she attack the further trained Sith in lightsaber combat, something he had nearly perfected as a Jedi. Now as a Sith it was his sole purpose to perfect the dark techniques of the Force to drive his foes to a craze and strike them down.

"You are still young in terms of the Force! Should you draw your blade I suggest you use it before I strike you down like the countless I have slain before you..."

Reaching to his own hip the metallic hilt was drawn to his hand, his thumb itching to ignite the blade and strike. He was more than ready to kill the woman before him should she make the move. Around the Cantina many were stirring, most beginning to pile out of the packed area, some stayed and watched to see what would happen. There was no doubt in Avare's mind that the authorities were on their way or would be in a matter of minutes...

He was right, of course, and she did not feel like dying just yet. She thumbed her lightsaber off and hung it on her belt.

"Well we had better get out of here before the wrong people come"

He stared at her, a part of him still wanted to ignite the saber and strike down his former apprentice for her incompetance. Though a larger part was good to see the saber brought to ease, he didn't want to kill his former apprentice unless he truly had too. As she spoke his senses warned him of a oncomming danger.

"...it may be too late for that Mae..."

Before he could finish a TSF squad made there way in through the South Entrance. Luckily his saber was in hand with the barage of fire they let out towards the two, it had been some time since the troopers had seen a Sith on the station, since the Exile... Focusing the force he channelled his energy to his hands, and to the blade focusing on the oncomming bolts...

Maeva called her lightsaber and ignited it before they started to fire. She blocked most of them and sent them flying back at the shooters. She was starting to think it was not such a good idea to come to Citadel Station.

"Where to now?"

She asked Avare' as they fought off the blaster bolts.

Changing his focus to the soldiers that fired their repeaters he drove images into their minds. Making it appear that they were facing an army of Sith, all around them. The Sith assassins fading in around them were beginning to drive the soldiers crazy, all but one their Lieutenant and leader. Still firing shots at the two Avare' managed to stop most of the blaster fire from comming their way.

"...the hanger it's the only way off the station... though it will nearly be the longest route..."

As his words came to a close a bolt managed to catch the Sith Knight in the left shoulder a simple mistake made by the Sith. He was giving his attention to too many places at once, a mistake that would take even the greatest of swordsman.

"Ahhh..."

Stumbling back his focus left the minds of the soldiers and went entirely on deflecting the bolts back at them

Maeva stepped up and started to deflect the bolts. She did not turn away from the troops, but still talked softly to Avare'.

"Is there a back way out of here?"

She felt very stupid right now. This was her fault.

His eyes searched without hesitation, there had to be some sort of back entrance though his eyes gave him nothing. Reaching out through the Force he searched, there was another exit behind a wall across the room. Slowly moving he made his way towards the exit.

"Behind the wall!"

Calling upon one of his old techniques he learned as a Jedi he called upon Force Blinding. Sure to not caste the power on Maeva the bright flash filled the room temporarily blinding anyone within the area. Should the affect fall upon Maeva she would have to use Force Sight to see. Quickly running towards the door they slid open with the same speed every blast door seemed to. Their exit was straight ahead, and so far it looked clear...

Maeva was indeed caught in the blinding light, but that was no problem for her. She focused on the Force and what the room looked like before the light. She saw Avare' and followed him, quickly. The TSF soldiers had stopped firing and were now confused, she could feel it. She wanted to laugh, but she knew that laughing right now was not a good idea.

"Let's go then!"

Once they were out of the cantina she looked around and unignited her lightsaber. There was no need for them to draw more attention to themselves now. She hung it on her belt and pulled up her hood again.

"Avare'...I am sorry about that"

As he heard the woman's blade disenage his did the same and quickly found its way to his hip. Looking around one last time he gave a nod before inspecting the wound on his shoulder. The burns would have to be treated once he arrived back to his ship to avoid an infection, no need in losing more of the left side of his body. Embracing the pain he simply smiled at Maeva.

"...it would seem I brought this upon myself Maeva. Never apologize for the mistakes of another. If you were in the presence of the wrong Sith I fear you could be killed."

His smirk grew out as he laughed and started heading towards the hanger, the sooner they left the damn station, the better.
