A New Path (Toefi Orooke's Training)

Reaching to his waist he withdrew a freshly sharpened and sterilyzed vibrodagger. Looking at the sharp edge he made sure the blade was clean himself before sheathing it at his hip. Taking Toefi's armor slowly he pushed the blade against her mid forearm and quickly pulled it across it. Knowing her impulse would be to pull away his hand stayed firmly clasped around her wrist, not wanting to leave markings from the attack.
"Reach out with the Force.... mend the wound you have just taken, this will drain you more than any power you will ever learn I assure you, that is why I will aid you with this Force technique. It is simple to learn though complicated in the sense that more severe wounds take much more Force energy, and are harder to call the Force to. Just feel as if you are mending this cut with a needle and thread, the Force will do the rest.."
Reaching out with the Force himself he numbed the wound on her arm, slowly mending it halfway, letting his apprentice do the rest, she would learn how the technique worked before he would completely heal her. That and he wanted to make sure no true harm came to the girl.

"WHAT THE HELL?!" Toefi shouted as she tried to wriggle away. He held her arm still and cut it open! Totally uncalled for. The pain seemed to explode with her anger as she stared at him listening to what he said. She didn't want to be hurt or drained of her energy.
Slowly, he numbed the wound and helped her mend it, but she was at a loss. Needle and thread, as in sew it back together? She didn't have the slightest idea how! She'd never had stitches. She didn't sew. Growling, she focused on her arm, her anger evident.

Her anger radiated off her form, one of the strongest emotions, one that could greatly increase her capabilities though not in such large dosages.
"Calm yourself Toefi... your anger is clouding your mind, running your emotions rampant. You must control that anger and it will make you stronger... Like you moved the objects across the room you must do the same to your arm. Picture it healing and when you see that, use the force to finish out the act..."

Toefi sighed, trying to release her anger. It wouldn't help her any right now. She closed her eyes for a moment, trying to force the anger away from her, out her pores. It seemed to work to clear her mind and she re-concentrated on her bleeding arm.
She stared at it, and imagined the cut closing up. When she reopened her eyes, the cut was almost gone. She imagined the skin sticking back together as if held by tape and as she watched it heal, her energy began to drain quickly. Her arm was healed, that was the good news, but now she was really dizzy and so tired...

Watching his Padawan mend the wound he assisted as little as he could. She had nearly done the entire job on her own, something that had surprised him. After her repairs came to a close he finished up the work she started and smiled at her.
"Good job, you will only increase your capabilities by pushing yourself Toefi, remember that."
Standing from his position he slid the vibrodagger back into it's sheath and wandered to the side of the room, he had ignored her signs of dizziness and strain as he wanted the next act to be done completely by her fatigued body. Reaching to one of the remote droids it hummed to life and began to float around his padawans body, ready to take a shot at her at any moment. When she would least expect it, or so it thought, it would fire at her midsection.

She reached a hand up to rub her head. Toefi, still rather dizzy and exhausted, just stood there as Rev left to the side of the room. Suddenly, an impuse coursed through her and she drew one of her lightsabers, deflecting a shot aimed for her stomach.
She surprised herself, as she stood there. "Wow." was all she could say as she stood ready for the next bolt "Did you see that? I'm... amazing!" Her face broke into a grin and she ignored her nagging headache.

He smiled, she was beginning to focus and wasn't even realizing it. Crossing his arms he turned and faced her as the droid fired another shot at her collarbone this time. Speaking out in order to distract her though draw out an answer in the same sense he was ready to push her now.
"Tell me what do you think your greatest weakness is at this point in time my Padawan?"
He awaited an answer only hoping she could answer and deflect bolts as they came at her.

Lightsabers were her specialty. She spun playfully around, deflecting the bolt to her collarbone as she continued her conversation with Rev. "My weakness, huh?" she spoke, at ease despite simultaneously defending herself "Probably the Force is my weakness. I don't have the handle on it that so many others who have been in training as long as I have do... or maybe that I'm not super patient..."
As she looked to him to see if that was an adequate answer, her hand waved with the saber to protect her from another blast aimed between her shoulder blades by the droid. He stared across at his Padawan, she was improving greatly in a short period of time, it was a joy to see this he thought. Taking in her answer to the questions he gave a quick response before thinking of what his own weakness would be.
"You must improve in those area's then my Padawan, you are only as strong as your weakest link Toefi. Remember that and you will truely be the great Jedi you are becomming."
He smiled and his answer was finally placed within himself.
"I often have a lack of faith in not only the Jedi Council, but those around me. The trust I have for others must be built slowly and impatience often breaks those unwilling to wait. It has made me a Jedi that is filled with much emotion, and few that I can truely call friends. I believe in my fellow Jedi, though it is myself I feel an uneasiness with."
He brought out a smile before looking at the destroyed droid.
"Do you feel you're capable to take on a mission... I think I have one we can take care of rather nicely."

Toefi grinned since he seemed so proud of her. And she was becoming a great Jedi? Sweet! She was quite glad herself at all she was now able to do, and took the compliments merrily. Her green lightsabers hissed back into their hilts and she fastened them back to her belt as she turned to face her master.
Something sparked in her hazel eyes as she listened to his story. No one was perfect afterall, but then he said mission. What a perfect oppurotunity to gain his trust and friendship, which would help him with his weaknesses as he helped her with her own. "So Rev, what kind of mission? Sounds like fun." she smirked, the proud air about her still evident, but mixed with excitement and maybe even a tad bit of mischieviousness now.

He nodded as the mission was almost freshly imbedded in his own mind. His mind quickly cleared as words told was his mind had just thought in a almost rhythmatic calm tone.
"There is a planet called Dantooine, I'm sure you've heard of it, and if not it is a tranquil world. A plains and grass filled planet with a calmness to it that we Jedi often find ourselves embracing. It is an experience to go there and meditate, though it would seem something has tainted the land in a sense. Much of the wild life are a bit more hostile and a mercenary group has made their way there as well, plans on digging and excavating the land for minerals it would seem. We're to investigate the problem, should they have done something to make the wildlife more hostile we shall ask them to leave. It is a sacred place and with no proper papers from the republic they must go, should they not we may have to resort to more desperate measures, something I hope we will not have to get into."
He flashed her a smile hoping it would excite her a bit more knowing not only she would be going on a mission, but traveling through space to get there...

Her smile broadened. "You're the greatest Rev!" Toefi grinned and embraced him briefly "Mercenaries, helping the Republic, hostile wildlife, space travel! Sounds perfect! I'm game." This would definatly be fun, a challenge, a test, a game. The grin never left her face as she took a deep breath after talking so quickly, and asked "So when do we leave?" The 15 year old Jedi-to-be was psyched. Her very first mission...

"I'm leaving that up to you Toefi, we can leave tonight and arrive there tomorrow at dawn. Or we can leave tomorrow morning and arrive when it would be dusk. So it is whether you wish to sleep en route to Dantooine, or sleep on Dantooine itself. I feel we may not be on the planet for more than a few days..."

Toefi nodded, listening to her options. Sleep on Dantooine, sleep in hyperspace. Pretty clear choices, but which to pick. She decided she'd think out loud, and so as not to look dumb as she weighed them in her head, and so said "Well, I don't know that I'll be able to sleep either en route or there. I've only traveled on a space ship a few times..." she paused, and counted all the trips that she could remember on her fingers "To Balosar, back home, and to here. So space would be so exciting! Those were all almost 10 years ago... Space is probably even awesomer than I remember."
"BUT," the girl began again, "How am I supposed to sleep on a whole new planet that I could explore? I'd be to curious to sleep, and youd tell me to go to bed, but I'd end up sneaking out in the dark and being eaten by 'hostile wildlife' as you said. Aw, geez. Tricky choice. Well, I guess I could sleep here tonight if we're planning to leave tomorrow at dawn. That sounds like the most likely option. That alright with you?"
All in all, she really did a pretty good job of assessing the outcomes of each situation. Toefi knew herself well... and her smile shone with excitement. She hadn't left the Temple here on Ossus in forever. Toefi was psyched!

It had been some time since his travels to the grassy plains of the tranquil planet. Though he did not show the same excitement Toefi had, his emotions were nearly in the same flurry.
"Then this will conclude our training for today, we'll meet at the hanger at dawn and be on our way to Dantooine. Your training will soon be complete my Padawan, and then you will be Jedi Knight... a savior to the republic, and a protector of peace."
He smiled before slowly making his way towards the door.
