A New Path (Wing and Myself) - Midnight Men

[The Balance]

Kyle waited in his office for the soldier, so he could start this man's training. Apparently this one was a jedi, Kyle noticed reading the man's report which was in his right hand. Putting it back down on the desk Kyle, leaned back it his chair, resting his head on the banner, hanging on the wall. He drifted into thought, seeing how he would deal with this one, most Midnight Men, did not have force sensitivity and it would no doubt make the training more interesting. So leaning back onto his desk Kyle started to re-read Dillos' profile waiting for the man to come.

 

[Wing]

Dilios walked into the Midnight Man's office as he had been told. He was dressed in robes and the tunic of the Jedi Order, and his silver hilted lightsaber was clipped to his belt. He stood and saluted the Midnight Man.

 

[The Balance]

"At ease." Kyle replied to the jedi, leaning back in his chair, he paused for a moment and then continued. "Dilios Starburk, I understand you wish to further advance in our ranks. That is good, you have ambition, but I need to know if you think yourself ready for our training. There is no turning back after saying yes."

 

[Wing]

"Yes, I wish to pursue training. I believe this organization has a lot to give to the rest of the Galaxy, and the Jedi Council restricts what I can do to help, although I am still a member of the Order." Dilios had then came out of salute.

 

[The Balance]

"Okay, that is all I needed to hear" Kyle responded. Meanwhile using the keypad under his desk to open the stairwell to his own personal training room. Walking down into the darkness he expected the soldier to follow, coming into a new room, he turned the lights on, dimly lighting the room. It was a follow stocked room of armor and weapons. When the soldier entered the room, he said, "Deposit all your weapons in the container next to you. Then pick one rifle, one hand-to-hand combat weapon, and one other weapon of your choice. Then follow me into the next room"

 

[Wing]

Dilios took off his lightsaber and reluctantly placed it in the container along with two fragmentation grenades he had. He took a blaster rifle, a vibroblade, and a pistol, and then went alongside the Midnight Man.

 

[The Balance]

Walking into the training room it was shaped like a square each of the areas for a different part of the soldier's training. Walking into a distinct part he sat down on a bench near the combat ring. This part of the training was for close-combat only, he motioned for the soldier to stay in the ring. And before long an ASP droid walked into the ring with a vibrorapier. It was programmed specifically for fighting, and getting into its stance, it said in its cold metallic voice, "En Guard"

 

[Wing]

Dilios summoned the vibrosword to him through the Force. He knelt down a bit, then leaped into the air bringing the sword behind him quickly. Once near the droid, he brought the sword down hard and quick.

 

[The Balance]

Not having the agility to roll out of the way the droid threw its sword up against the other man's, the sent a jab at his stomach.

 

[Wing]

Dilios pushed the droid's sword backwards, and then backed up. He then rushed at the droid, moving his blade upwards in an underhand arc.

 

[The Balance]

As he pushed backward Dillios knocked the droid's sword out of his hand. So when the upper cut came it was left defenseless, swiped clean up the middle. Its circuitry fizzled and let out a few sparks before it fell down. Then three more droids stepped out of the darkness their blades gleaming in the artificial light. Challenging Dillios they said "En Guard" waiting for him to make the first move.

 

[Wing]

Dilios paced sideways to the right and attacked the right droid with his vibroblade from a right slanted slash attack. As his sword made contact with the droid's, he used the Force on the center droid, using the Force power stun droid.

 

[The Balance]

As it was hit by the force the center droid slumped and deactivated, but that still left the problem of the other two. To defend himself the droid on the right swung his blade against Dillios', then the droid on the opposite side lunged at the jedi.

 

[Wing]

Dilios backed off and jumped backwards. He then Force jumped into the air behind one of the droids and pushed his sword into the droid's back.

 

[The Balance]

Looking down to see the saber through it the droid fell down with a clang, two down one left. The other droid regaining its balance from the lunge. Fleshed toward the man in hopes of throwing him off balance and then finished the attack up with a slash to the knee.

 

[Wing]

Dilios felt the droid's blade make contact with his knees. He looked and saw a thin cut through both. In pain, he used Stun Droid to halt the droid, then through his sword at the droid using a technique called Saber Throw which he used with his lightsaber.

 

[The Balance]

The droid slumped its head as it was hit by the force and as the blade came its way it flew right through it and then the droid fell, its metal body making a thud as it hit the stone floor. As five more droids stepped out of the darkness, two of them armed with blasters the three sword droids stood in front of them, the group advancing. Meanwhile Kyle found himself glancing into the darkness, barely making out the droid source. It was funny Kyle noted how this one like all the others before him stayed inside the ring even though it wasn't ever said.
