Garel
1600 hours

It was late day on Garel, but the land was shrouded in an eternal sunset. The beautiful purple and pink sky was probably something Alaasha would have admired, if she hadn't been focused on the looming structure ahead of her.

It was a prison, or a 'holding facility' for enemies of the Jedi. And right now, in the Republic Consul Yacht Alaasha was flying, was a member of the Sacred Band of Ziost named Karma Akabane.

The ragged tower ahead of Alaasha grew nearer as she ran through why she was here and what to do. Her two Jedi companions, Felix Trandam and Bast R'aef, were in the back of the yacht monitoring the prisoner as she landed the ship. A few droids were near the landing platform, waiting to help escort Karma.

Alaasha mentally ran through the prison again as she turned off the ship and exited the cockpit. The actual prison was underground, and the cells were made purely of metal. The prisoner would be held in an eletrofield, while the only door was both physically and ray shielded. Their was only one flaw in the entire process, and it was one that would be extremely hard to exploit.

Thinking about standard procedure, Alaasha recalled that most of the prison guards were droids, as they were immune to Force-related attacks, although there are always a few Jedi on watch. The Jedi were rotated every few weeks. The droids settled most of the keeping of the prisoners except interrogation.

Getting back to the task at hand, Alaasha turned to the right and then addressed her fellow Jedi on procedures. Karma was in the room behind them, closely monitored and cuffed.

"We have arrived on Garel. I have orders that the prisoner is to be escorted to cell block G5-1921. Highest security measures at all times."

Karma lay strapped against the wall. Even with his height, the the clasp gave him no leniency. Clenched high around his neck, the rigid metal forced the prisoner's chin up, exposing his stretched throat and pressing the back of his head hard against cold interior of the ship. In this position, even if he wanted a glass of water, the words to say it would be enough of a struggle, let alone the task of drinking.

If that wasn't enough, a second metal strap clasped around the base of his hand, bolted to the wall tightly with his wrist and all the veins associated exposed to those watching. One wrist of course, as the young man was missing his right arm. His right leg as well. The poor wretch was a sorry sight in his condition to begin with, yet his right leg was bound just the same, the band firmly around his knee. A wide metal bar secured his middle; the one component that was probably added out of pity to help him keep balance while all the other security measures kept him upright against the wall. The exposed throat, the bare wrist, in addition a black cloth that blinded his sight (or optimistically: acted as a fabulous high quality sleep mask against the aggressively bright florescent lights of the transport cell); it wouldn't have been surprising if the Jedi executed him right then and there with the setup. And at any moment, they could.

Having been in a similar situation regarding a limb, if Bast had even a ounce of empathy he might have related to the guy. In fact, they were both force-wielding teens and of similar build. Simply just different sides of the conflict. They would talk, realize their differences and star anew- but unfortunately if Bast had any empathy it was nowhere to be found, having been on a proverbial Wanted Ad for the past 15 years of his life.

Instead the padawan sat in meditation. While traveling, the padawan usually enjoyed nothing more than levitating junk around the air of a ship inanely. However, the transport the cell in which he, his companion and the prisoner were in was completely sterile. Indeed, he had tried at first to mess with the force itself, transferring a small ball of energy from one palm to the other with any amusement canceled out by the amount of energy it took to create the toy.

Therefore he halted his activities quickly. Having made most of his most horrible missing-limb puns at the beginning of the trip, he had little else to say and desired to be bothered no further. The display of meditation was simply a display of his office being closed, no longer responding to any more complaints or questions for the time being.

"We have arrived on Garel. I have orders that the prisoner is to be escorted to cell block G5-1921. Highest security measures at all times."

With an eyebrow raise, Bast opened his eyes next, the reaction to the words hesitant. After all, his spot on the ground was quite comfortable. None the less, the padawan stood up and walked to the prisoner's side of the room. Punching the wall with the side of his fist, as though knowing the button was one that need a little extra pressure to activate from experience, Bast stepped to the side as a thin metal bed fell down with a loud clank. Its assembly was quick, and looked quite like something one would see in a hospital...if the hospital was a high-security prison and their beds were slabs of uncomfortable metal and restraints on squeaky wheels.

"We're home" Bast added cheerfully to Karma, waiting for his companion to join him in transferring their 3/4ths of a prisoner.

Felix sat the whole flight in front of the prisoner staring at him. There was no real chance he could escape and the prisoner could not know about it but still he sat and stared. The Prisoner was bounded and blind folded and if he had been a high risk prisoner drugs would have been used to keep him sedated. But it was not needed this time.

"We have arrived on Garel. I have orders that the prisoner is to be escorted to cell block G5-1921. Highest security measures at all times."

The message came through in his ear piece and broke his trance. Getting up Felix could hear the hissing sound of air escaping as the ship matched the atmospheric pressure out side before the doors opened. Walking up to the prisoner he got right up to him before he removed the blind fold. The metallic glove pushed hard against the prisoners head has it grasped the blind fold and yanked it up and off the head. The prisoner head and neck was pulled forward though the restraints stopped them from moving far. If the prisoner was sleeping he would now be awake. Though truthfully the removal of the blindfold was done out of kindness. The prisoner could be executed to held till death deep under ground never to see the sun again. So Felix would give him this one last glimpse out of kindness. The violent and forceful nature would ensure the prisoner did not know the people about to integrate him had hearts.

"If you put up a fight or struggle it will go painful for you."

Stepping aside Felix let the droids do there thing. A metal band was locked around the prisoners neck. The band could only be removed or placed by the droids any body else tampering with it would get shocked along with the prisoner. It was a simple restraining collar with a inbuilt tracking devices and the ability to give a shock to help subdue the prisoner if needed. Unlike those a slaver might use the Jedi one was not uncomfortable to wear. With the collar on the 2 droids began the tasking of moving the prisoner on to the gantry. The gantry would of been used no matter the prisoners condition since those who could fight would of been heavily sedated. So the droids knew what to do having been programed for this and many other tasks.

Karma was deflated to say the least. He had tried struggling after they found him near the remainder of his craft that he had crashed down on Felucia. He remembered when he had crashed, he had been sent flying out the front of the ship. However his arm and leg had been caught and were ripped right off due to the force of impact. He didn't even scream then, he had passed out in shock. He had awoke however to the sight of the Jedi standing over him before dragging him off to their ship. He had been attached to a wall by the throat, his left wrist, his left leg and he had a band wrapped around him that kept him upright and balanced. To make it worst, they had blindfolded him, making him unable to see, which was one of his biggest fears. Being unable to see, it was just a childhood thing.

His left wrist was exposed to all the Jedi on the craft to see all of the cuts and various signs of abuse that littered his entire body. The t-shirt he had been wearing had been ripped when he had been sent through the window so various bits showed his abuse that he had been given in the Sith control. He was covered in black and blue bruises and cuts that littered his body which was white as snow so the cuts stood out even more. He even had it on his leg, and it was visible to the Jedi due to the fact he was wearing shorts.

He could feel someone's eyes burning on him even through the blindfold. It scared him. He was terrified of what they had in store for him, he didn't know what they would do to him and that's what terrified him. He couldn't fall asleep due to the uncomfortable position he was in and the fear of ships due to his accident.

"We have arrived on Garel. I have orders that the prisoner is to be escorted to cell block G5-1921. Highest security measures at all times."

So that's where he was! He flinched as he heard the smack of a button and a metal thing knock against the floor. He had his blindfold taken off him roughly but it gave him a perfect view of the stars. His pale red eyes struggled to adjust to the beauty of the stars before him, he awed in amazement as he looked up at the night sky. However he was quickly taken out of his shackles and placed on the metal bed that Bast had pulled out and the droids attached him to that which was agony. The droids quickly attached a coller to him which was suprising comfy. He started to cry as he was taken down into the depths of the prison when the stars became out of his sight.

"NO!, no no no no no no no no NO!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! DON'T TAKE ME DOWN THERE, PLEASE LET ME SEE THE STARS AGAIN!!"

Due to the over exhaustion he quickly went to an unconscious state as his body desperately tried to get energy again

Alaasha watched silently as the droids roughly handled the prisoner. She didn't like the way he was being treated, but it was the droids harsh programming. She would make sure Karma was treated better once he got delivered to his cell.

However, Alaasha did listen closely to what Karma said. It seemed that he had been held hostage before, by the way he talked. Alaasha almost regretted not saying anything to the droids. But she didn't.

She hadn't liked Bast and Felix's rude comments either, and since she would have to give orders anyway, Alaasha decided to bring it up.

"Just because he is in the Sacred Band doesn't mean he isn't a person. Treat Karma kindly. On another note, I am going to escort the prisoner to his cell, and I want both of you to double check all security. It's unlikely to occur, but I want to be sure that Akabane does not escape. Contact me when you are done."

It wasn't an extremely time consuming task, considering that there were little to no other exits or weak points that could be monitored. Alaasha figured it would take about as much time to secure the prisoner.

Alaasha followed the droids to cell number G5-1921. Karma seemed unconscious, but she hoped that he would wake up soon, otherwise he would be forced to. When they arrived at the cell, one of the droids pushed a button, and the ray shield turned off and the physical door opened.

Alaasha nodded to the droids to place Karma into the eletrofield. One opened a small panel on the outside of the field that set it to neutral setting. Alaasha saw and heard the machine crackle to life. The other droid removed the prisoner's restraint system and place him into the field. Karma hung there for a second neutrally, but then the droid outside flicked the switch to on, and his body was jolted into a holding position. He would only be able to move his hand and his head.

Bast knew quite obviously where his division lay.

The prison itself was nothing short of a second home for the padawan for the previous couple of months. There is the sense of having intimately known a place by living or working in it, however Bast quite literally helped build it. From blueprints to foundation to shiny, glossy, slightly terrifying gleam, nearly every corridor had some sort of imprint of his personality left on it. Granted, they were not his designs. The great masterminds who created the fortress were an elusive species who allowed mechanically inclined underlings to actually do the work, of which Bast was one of many.

He quickly got to work, checking the cybernetic maintenance of what he partially deemed his prison. Grated this would have been a hefty task if it was done by anyone other than himself, but Bast moved with calculated precision. He knew the guards on duty, he knew the questions to ask, the communication was clear, quick and satisfying.

Of course, the venture was thankfully fruitless. The prison was new, state of the art, and yet to receive any prisoners. It would be difficult to believe something could have worn down, broken, or been forgotten within the first use of its facilities. Especially while everything was exciting and new for the recently employed who were in the honeymoon phase of a job with an eagerness to do especially well.

Content, Bast returned to Alaasha.

Felix did not share Bast experience, he came with fresh eyes though, eyes not tainted with pride. The prison exterior was well build, a fortress. Though a massive invasion force could take it, the location of the prison made that a unlikely event. But the security droids, sensors, Jedi guards, turrets, sensors and walls made any one trying to sneak in have a really bad day.

Following Bast on his tour he joined him in the main elevator. A rather large elevator and even here security did not end. Cameras watched there every move scanning there face and body to ensure they had authority to be here and sensors in the floor made sure the weight of what was in side the elevator matched what was seen by the camera. Sneaking in or out was not going to be easy.

But soon the 2 re-joined Alaasha and the prisoner.

Karma awoke from his stupor confused and helpless as he dangled in the electric field only able to move his head and he had limited hand movement. He tried to adjust his eyes from the florescent lights that were currently beaming down on him, he seriously hated them. Then the reality smacked him dead in the face when he realized the situation he was in. He started to panic and hyperventilate in the small confined cell. He finally realised he was being watched when he looked over towards the trio as he tried to calm himself down. After eventual deep breathing he quickly managed to calm himself down, he was honestly terrified. It would be extremely easy for the Jedi to spot the panic and terror on his face. He just wanted to be outside, anywhere but in that small cramped cell, thinking about it made him claustrophobic and panic more. The whole environment scared him despite his previous encounters with it. He wanted to be able to see the stars again.

How long would they keep him there? What would they do with him? What was about to happen? Would he see the outside again? All these questions and the suicidal ones raced at a million miles an hour simultaneously. He tried sensing other force signatures around him but the strain was far too much for him to hold. However in the one second of clarity he had, he realised he was completely alone and surrendered by Jedi and guards alike, there was no one else to confide in other than himself. That scared him, terrified him, he had no one, just like the old days.

He finally gathered the courage to speak to his captors, he tried to get the worse of the panic out of his voice but that didn't work at all.

"I'm completely alone here aren't I?"

It came across as a whisper as he locked eyes with the trio, pain clearly shown in them.

Alaasha didn't need the Force to tell her that Karma was scared out of his mind. And it made her want to start the interrogation even faster. Hopefully he would cooperate, and Alaasha figured he would, since he seemed freaked out of his mind.

She gestured to the droids once, which told them to take guard outside of the cell. There was another control on the panel, and the droids lowered it, dimming the lights considerably, for it to be less painful to the prisoner. Alaasha then waited for her fellow Jedi to finish the security check, and once they came into the cell, the ray shield activated and the door closed.

Alaasha nodded to her companions before speaking. It was quite obvious by their timely arrivals that nothing had gone wrong. She looked to Akabane as he asked a question, and she simply nodded in return before speaking.

"This facility was designed to hold Sith and Sacred Band members, so do not try to escape. If you cooperate, your sentence will be lighter then if you don't. Now, Padawan Bast R'aef, Knight Felix Trandam, and myself, Kinght Alaasha Seriin, are going to interrogate you. And you will answer all questions honestly."

Alaasha had completely dropped her kind tone.

"If you don't answer honestly though you will spend the rest of your live in this cell, all alone with. Do you want to spend the rest of your live down here?" Felix knew the sith would hate the thought of spending his days trapped under ground.

"So lets start this off by getting your details" In truth they had all the answers from the crashed fighter so they where more like test questions.
"first what is your name, confirm you work for the sith brother hood, are you force sensitive and are you a sith?"

The last one was some think Felix wanted to know. Was this man a real sith or one of there many grunts.

He watched the trio closely, almost as if they were predators circling their prey eagerly. He felt threatened but then again who wouldn't? It was a terrifying environment that he was in and all he wanted was to leave. A thought came to his head a million miles like the other ones however this one in particular was stuck in focus. Is the reason they haven't offered prosthetics because they don't know whether I should live? That scared him, I mean it was the most logical thing to do, prosthetics cost a small fortune and wasting it on a kid they didn't know if they wanted to end his life was fair enough. His life was in their hands.

"This facility was designed to hold Sith and Sacred Band members, so do not try to escape. If you cooperate, your sentence will be lighter then if you don't. "Y.....Yes Ma'am"

To say he was scared was an understatement so he knew he would have to do something. He would answer their questions honestly and nothing but the truth.

"If you don't answer honestly though you will spend the rest of your live in this cell, all alone with. Do you want to spend the rest of your live down here?"

"N..N....no sir!"

"So lets start this off by getting your details"

"O..Okay"

"first what is your name, confirm you work for the sith brother hood, are you force sensitive and are you a sith?"

He took a deep breath and a few thoughts to himself before answering. "I am Karma Akabane, I don't work for the Sith Brotherhood... Well technically I do, It's complicated but yes I am a member of the Sacred Band Of Zoist who work very closely with the Sith Brotherhood, however being a force sensitive isn't required. I am indeed a force sensitive however I am not an official Sith. I was mainly trained as an assassin and I wasn't really suitable for them. However I did work with them on more then one separate occasion and I was fairly close to the Supreme Leader Nisara and other members. I also just so happen to hold info on an infamous pirate named Turncoat John....."

Alaasha thought that Bast wouldn't have asked any questions, and he didn't. She wouldn't of minded, but she figured that the Padawan would of said something extremely snarky if he had. Felix did the honesty check, somethings that Alaasha would have done if he hadn't beat her to it.

It seemed like Karma knew a lot of invaluable information about the Sith. It was good then, that three Jedi had been assigned to interrogating him, since he claimed that he was Force sensitive, and he was.

"Tell us more about your Supreme Leader. How does she rule and keep control?"

It was a pretty broad question, but it wasn't time for specifics, yet.

Bast monitored the life signs and energy flows of the young man as they registered on a silent flat holo-device behind the prisoner.

"You'll find communicating information to us more beneficial than saying you can." The padawan responded flatly. It was evident Bast didn't care about pirates...and to be honest pirates didn't care much for him. However, he thought he would clarify for the young man that they were not in the business of torture and wasting time. That was for the Sith.

Almost on cue, Alaasha continued by addressing the more favored of information the Jedi sought.

Considering the prisoner first tried to dish out information on a common criminal, Bast wondered if he actually knew anything about the Sith order...or what was it Sacred Band of Zoist?

Sounded like an underground Coruscant musical group.

None the less, Bast's uncaring glance stole away to the holo-device. Again far more attentive to machinery than people. However, doing his part, the boy held up subtle outstretched fingers. Only vaguely in the direction of their prisoner and not stretched enough to be noticed. Reaching out then with the force, he sent his calming waves to influence the young man.

Of course, he did this as silently and subtle as possible. Couldn't have people thinking he was nice, the boy had a reputation to uphold.

Felix was glad the sith was open and not being difficult, long drawn out debates where not fun. Though information on a pirate was hardly something the Jedi needed right now it would prove useful but the main thing was information on the sith.

"And please don't mentation the things even a corrusant beggar would know. We know the supreme leader is a great fighter and force user . We need info on her charter, personality, friends, personal security the sort of things one should not know. "

If they where to win this war the Sith had to learn has much has they could about there adversary. But there actual fighting abilities where pretty low down. The order needed to know how they thought and how they would react.

"Tell us more about your Supreme Leader. How does she rule and keep control?"

Karma would of shown the abuse he had received when he last failed the supreme leaders orders, she had sliced into him while he begged for mercy, that would ensure that he wouldn't be able to fail again. He also was going to mention the trials that took place in order to join their ranks. ##

"The Supreme leader ensures that she is always in control. She sliced me up last time I failed..... That's the marks on my chest for proof. There is also a trial base system which ensures that you don't fall out of line. When you join, you are forced to undergo extreme mental and physical torture before you can join. You also need to kill your fellow classmates in order to join. I was the youngest to pass these trials."

"And please don't mentation the things even a corrusant beggar would know. We know the supreme leader is a great fighter and force user. We need info on her charter, personality, friends, personal security the sort of things one should not know. "

"Well Sir, She's not a force sensitive. A great fighter yes but not force capable. She's ruthless with a blade and knows where to cut to make it hurt, trust me, I know what;s its like to be at the end of her dagger. Apparently she was a pirate before she joined the Sacred Band."

Alaasha listened with growing concern as Krma explained the situation that the Surpreme Leader put all of her subjects into. He still didn't answer many questions though, and Alaasha was determined to get as much out of the prisoner as possible.

"And tell us, how did this Supreme Leader rise to power?"

It was one of the questions that Alaasha wanted to hear the answer to. But before long they would switch the topic to something else.

From here out Bast was on cruise control, his eyes trained on the medical holo-device and his energies sending a subtle calmness to the prisoner. His interjection would only be if he found fault with what the young man was saying or if he veered off track.

"how is her relationship with the sith, is she respected, feared, ignored. How is this different from how the sith treat the average member of the scared band"

Provoking conflict in the sith brother hood was a option that could be looked in to but more information was needed.

"And tell us, how did this Supreme Leader rise to power?"

"That I don't know, I presume through ruthlessness and her ability to never fail a task I heard."

"how is her relationship with the sith, is she respected, feared, ignored. How is this different from how the sith treat the average member of the scared band"

"The Sith respect her massively and she is joint head of the Sith with someone. The difference between the Sacred Band and the Sith however is massive. The Sith believe they are better than everyone, including the Sacred Band. The Sacred Band range from mercs to assassins. We either join from the thrill of the hunt or simply somewhere to go in my case"

"You say this, as if you never truly felt loyal to the Sacred Band of Ziost. Is this true?"

Alaasha, by asking this question had essentially changes the topic from the Supreme Leader to the prisoner himself. It was obvious that Karma didn't know much more about Nisara, and Alaasha needed to know where his loyalties lay.

Alaasha looked around at her fellow Jedi. It seemed that Bast didn't want to have much of a part in the interrogation, and Felix seemed to be, enjoying it perhaps? Alaasha wasn't really sure about Felix. It bothered her a bit, but not entirely.
