8 Years Before The Events Of DOTR
The kids stared blurry eyed down at the table of notes and sums. He sat and fiddled with the pencil trying to make sense of the sums, working them out slowly in his head. All of a sudden the man standing behind him pushed the kid's face into the table. He wimpered as his face collided with the desk. The man pulled the kid back up to a sitting position using the kids long black straggled hair. His face was covered in bruises and he had large black eyes, making him look soulless. "Do your work you stupid kid or no food for the day."
The child immediately started working as fast as he could at the promise of food. He hadn't been fed in days as he hadn't completed all of his work necessary for the gang. The kid rubbed his eyes before starting to get back to work, trying to make sure it was all completed for when the boss wanted to see the work. Several hours later, the kid was yanked off the chair from a leash which was connected to a collar round his neck. He was dragged round the old, ruins of a school. towards the office in which the head of the gang had taken up residence. "So, have you completed all your work for me? If you haven't then no food for you." Roxas lowered his head, avoiding eye contact. If he dared look at the leader, it would be a sever beating. "Yes Sir, everything has been completed like you asked." The leader looked over at the paper before nodding at one of the members. "You can get your food, lock him in his cell with his food for the night." The man dragged Roxas away before chucking him into a barred cage in the main hall, where all the gang members slept, he was the only prisoner there so he was placed in the centre of the room, locked in a cage with a dirty mattress on the floor where he slept. The man handed him a plate of food through the bars and Roxas began to immeditatly stuff it all into his face. All he did was think of how he wanted to get out of here and if someone would save him from his misery

Troy Walker made his way down the damp, dark alleyway. He walked proudly through the rain almost like a beacon of light in all this pain and despair. Homeless men and women huddled by a fire to his right and another man sat down next to a pair of trash cans. This was the only way to get to the gang, a local band of thieves and kidnappers. They lived off of the backs of hardworking honest folk. They ruled through fear but all of this will end today.

Troy continued his walk down the alleyway alone, except for his blaster on his side. His black cowboy hat dripped rain off of its brim. When the lone Ranger exhaled it produced a mist, the air was cold. Luckily Troy was about to go inside. Further ahead as he walked he found a large door guarded by two mean lookin men. Troy walked up calmly and reashed for his Ranger badge on his belt. He grabbed it then flashed it at the men.

"My names Troy Walker, I'm with the Ranger service. I've come to arrest every member of the Tucker Marshal gang. I see you two are guarding the entrance so that leaves me to assume you yourselves are members of the gang. Or am I wrong?" He said as nonchalantly as possible. Each man had a blaster by their sides and one of them spoke.

"Ya. Ya Tucker said you'd he stopping by." The man said as he practically spit his words at Troy.

"Did he now? So does that mean he's inside? I'd like to see him, so I'm gonna have to ask y'all to step aside and surrender yourselves to me." Troy said this with a smirk on his face and each man bursted into laughter, obviously finding Troy's orders funny.

"Ya Ranger, that ain't gonna happen." One of them said, Troy wasn't sure which one said it, he didn't even care at this point. But he did see one of them reach for their gun. Instantly Troy yanked his black leather jacket back, revealing his side arm.

"Don't, just don't. That don't end well for you." He said his tone now serious and cold. If this man moved another inch, he'd drop him right then.

"Your all alone Ranger, deep in Tucker territory, there's two of us and only one of you." The man on the right said as his HND hovered over his gun.

"If you make me pull my weapon, I'm gonna put you down." Then he waved his badge at them "and this here badge is gonna make it legal." He said with his hand rested on his blasters hilt.

"I don't think you understand Walker, two of us one of you. You may get one of us but not both of us." The other thug said as he to reached for his weapon.

"You willin to bet your life on that?"
Troy asked his tone now deadly cold. His heart beat normal, his hand calm and steady. He made eye contact with each man in turn. Looking deep into their soul's and then he saw the movement, a man reached for his blaster. In a flash Troys gun was drawn and two shots fired, the sound was deafening. He watched through narrow eyes as each man hit the ground with a thud.

One of them was instantly dead having taken the shoot in the neck, the other however had a hole in his chest. He leaned up against the door for support staring back at Troy in disbelief. He struggled to find words he sat their gasping. Troy heard his death gurgles he saw his thick chest rise and fall as he labored to bring in oxygen. Then, just like that, the man stopped breathing and his body went limp.

"You shoulda took the chance when I gave it to you." The Ranger said as he stepped over his body and walked inside. He was here to take them to jail, but Troy had no problem killing them all.

Roxas knew something was up when the other members of the gang started to get up and run towards the main entrance. He stared as he watched all of them grabbing arms and getting ready towards the main door. Roxas sat in the small confined space where he slept and spent the majority of his day. He noticed everyone was shouting, ge couldn't bear the sound of 13 people shouting so he curled up in the fetal position and he quickly put his hands over his ears. He watched all of the members rushing up and down the hall, clearly in a panic about something. Strangely enough , the boss came down to calm them all. Roxas finally took his hands off his ears as he could no longer hear the men's shouts. He sat and paid attention to what had the men been terrified off. One man had got in the base? Roxas smiled to himself and was promptly slapped through the bars by one of the men that had noticed. "He is just one man and we are a feared gang across all of Coruscant. He will die painfully and slowly by our hand!" The rest of the gang whooped and cheered at the prospect of hunting this man down. Roxas noticed that the prospect of the man winning was 13:1 in the gangs favour so it was probably not going to work. He was quickly woke from his dream state by a yank on the chain, except the boss held the leash. Je was dragged out his little cage and forced to stand with the Boss. "If the ranger tries anything, we threaten him with the prospect of the boy's death." The rest of the gang laughed as he was held by the hair. He whimpered quietly as he was marched away with the rest of the gang to meet the man who scared them all

Troy walked inside the building and down the narrow hallway. He didn't see a single soul as he moved from the entrance further into the gangs hideout. His body was alert his gun was holstered once again and his badge clipped back onto his belt. He could hear movement further inside the building, lots of movement. Troy tried to focus in on the voices and the foot steps, he figured there was about ten men total awaiting him, give or take a few more.

He also knew it was suicide to confront them. Troy was unarmored, he had two spare clips on his belt and single blaster pistol. Basically he was unprepared for this fight. But the Ranger was here for the gang, and more importantly the boy.

After walking a few more paces Troy found himself at the edge of an open doorway. He knew they were waiting for him, but he also knew they wouldn't kill him, not right off the bat. Troy walked inside the massive open room. He walked forward and was greeted by a man holding a young kid, Roxas. The kid looked brittle and beaten, weak and dirty. He'd been the slave to these scum for how long? Troy didn't know, but he did know it was over starting today.

However there was a problem, Troy stood before thirteen pissed off Tucker gang members. Troy was fast on the draw, damn fast, but not that fast. He was also aware of a solid metal beam a yard away from him, to his right. That would be his cover if things got ugly. For now however Troy needed to talk, he'd give them the same options he gave the other two guarding the front door. Troy reached for his badge, he grabbed it and then he showed it to them all.

"The names Troy Walker, I'm a Republic Sector Ranger and I don't want this to get ugly. So I'm gonna give you all the same option I gave the other two outside. If you lay down your weapons, surrender yourself to Republic justice, then you will live to see tomorrow."
The Ranger said in his cocky, arrogant tone. Troy wasn't beaten, not yet. But for some reason he wasn't taken seriously. All the criminals bursted into laughter. "Ya I figured you'd say as much."

Then Troy saw a man reach for his gun, instantly Troy pulled his blaster and dropped the man. Then he dropped another and another. He then started to step towards the cover to his right, shooting fast, precise shots. Five gangsters littered the ground now dead. Finally Troy reached the cover and the men fired their first wave of shots. Troy made himself as small as possible and the lasers just shit right past him, miraculously missing him by mere inches. He waited for the men to reload then he hopped out of cover yet again and he made easy work of the gangsters.

His shots hit the men square in the chest, dropping them each in turn instantly. Troy jumped back behind his cover and reloaded, by his count he had three more gangsters awaiting their final judgement. Once reloaded Troy kicked off the ground and dove wildly throughout the air, while in mid-air he shot twice. Killing a gangster to each side the Boss. Troy stood up on his feet and aimed his weapon at the Boss, who was now holding his gun to Roxas's head.

"Let the boy go Tucker, let the boy go."

He was forced to walk round the corner and forced into a large open room. As soon as they entered, they were met with the lone ranger. The room seemed to chill to minus's degree's with everything becoming slow motion.

"The names Troy Walker, I'm a Republic Sector Ranger and I don't want this to get ugly. So I'm gonna give you all the same option I gave the other two outside. If you lay down your weapons, surrender yourself to Republic justice, then you will live to see tomorrow."

The threat didn't seem serious so all of the men were laughing loudly, this made him scared as he saw one of the members started to pull their gun out. What he didn't expect was the man getting shot dead. As soon as that man hit the floor, he was pulled up tightly by the hair, so that he was the boss's human shield. he watched in awe as they all hit the floor with bullets in their corpses. He shrieked when the two members directly next to him dropped to the floor, dead. He was sweating all over when the boss pushed the gun directly into his temple.

"Let the boy go Tucker, let the boy go."

"Or what Ranger, You'll shoot me. I know you won't fire, especially around a civilian"
