A question about the Corps

Whilst doing some browsing online, I came across something, it might have been in Wookieepedia, stating that the Stormtrooper command structure lay outside that of both the Army and the Navy.

What is the relationship between the Stormtroopers and the other military branches of the Empire? Or between the Corps and the Sith? Does an Army Sergeant outrank a Stormtrooper Corporal? etc etc

I believe Stormtroopers outrank regular Army grunts in most cases, though higher echelon Army personnel such as Grand Generals can command STC elements. However, beyond that, only the STC High Command can give orders higher than that.

So, I'd say Stormies outrank generalized Army personnel. Don't quote me on the rest. << My assumptions are based on this:

Since only enlisted officers could be in the Stormtrooper Corps, ranks were often shared with them. However, there were some exclusive ranks within the Stormtrooper Corps distinct from the rankings and structure of the Imperial Military forces, both armies and navies alike.

They are in command of military operations spanning entire sectors and report directly to the Executor. A Grand Admiral will control all regional fleets, while a High General will command all regional ground forces

Pretty much what I was thinking - I was just looking for confirmation. Then again, Taia never was an officer in the Army - she was inducted straight into the Corps, and was never an officer in any unit at all, though I'm waiting for confirmation of her rank in the Corps.
