Greesawahandur sat cross-legged in the middle of the small training room, eyes closed and long ears twitching occasionally. Meditation had never been easy for the small Squib, he was simply too eager, too curious.

He was supposed to arrive here in half an hour's time, but he had come early, too excited to wait any longer. He was almost literally bouncing with excitement to meet his new master, a Kaminoan that everyone knew named Ayva.

Forcing his eyes to remain shut, he tried to keep meditating calmly...

Punctual as always, the Kaminoan Master arrived at the designated training room 5 minutes early. She was almost surprised to find that her new Apprentice was already there, but quickly remembered what she had read about him.

It would be quite interesting having an Apprentice that was effectively the opposite of her in terms of demeanor and personality. However, it would be a good experience for her nonetheless.

Come to find out that, not only are they opposites in personality, but in appearance as well. He seemed like something of a pet rabbit. She actually wondered if others would mistake him as such next to her.

The thought was released from her mind as she entered the room. "Grees?" It was more of a rhetorical as she sat with him and introduced herself.

"I am Master Ayva Starfall." She paused to smile at him. "I am glad to see you are eager to begin. First, tell me a bit about yourself." Her voice was soft, calm and cool; a winter breeze in the audible sense. As well, it was almost sing-song in a way, and she spoke with reason, seemingly lingering on every word a touch longer than average.

"And preferably something that would not be on your profile." There was humor in her voice as she was already in a good mood. Grees' energy was joyful and it was nice to be around. She determined that they would have an excellent time together, despite his overzealous nature.

Grees leapt to his feet, sitting hastily back down when the tall Kaminoan did. "I am Master Ayva Starfall.I am glad to see you are eager to begin. First, tell me a bit about yourself." He was about to open his mouth when the Jedi continued,"And preferably something that would not be on your profile."

Grees considered this for a moment before responding, one of his ears twitching."It is an honor to be trained by one such as yourself, Master Starfall. I uhh...There's not really much about me to say....oh, I did...." he pulled a cylinder from beneath his cloak,"I made this. It's just got a training crystal though..." He offered the small, Squib-proportional Dual blade lightsaber hilt to his new master.

The young Squib's thoughts and feelings whipped around, his focus practically non-existent. Indeed, she had never experienced one such as this. She could only imagine how difficult it would be teach him how to calm his mind. Even she had a hard time keeping up with him. Many of his thoughts were just fleeting and meant nothing, others did, indeed mean something however. Also, conversely, others stayed but were empty while others were lingered upon for a reason.

It was quite interesting that, even as she sat, she was taller than he. When he sat, his pet-like stature was only accentuated. She smiled mentally at this, but listened to his hastened speech and watched his darting eyes and ears.

"I sense there is much more to you than you let on." She said at first. This, however, was but a half-truth for she already knew a number of things about him as she drew conclusions from his feelings and reasoned them into thoughts about who he was.

"I look forward to teaching you, and I am glad you are as well," then she held out her hand and grasped the hilt of the saber.

It was rather diminutive in her hands. Indeed, it was one-handed to her. She felt the weight and make of the hilt. "Good weight, I would imagine, for yourself. It must fit well within your hand." Then she activated both blades. They were a bit shorter than normal, but were proportionate to himself and would fit him well.

"The crafting is excellent. You have a talent for such things, it is impressive," she said, twisting her wrist and examining it a bit more. Then she looked up at him and added, "It is not common that such young Jedi are able to effectively wield such a blade. How do you fare with it?" While all she wanted was a simple explanation, she knew it would be likely that he would want to demonstrate for his new Master.

Green nodded eagerly,"I found a manual in the apprentice-accessible section of the archives, and scaled it down for my size."

His ears drooped a bit,"I ahh....I know it's not technically allowed for an apprentice to do that...but you see, my people get older faster, so even though i'm only....ahh.....nine standard years old, i'm....about fifteen for humans and even Kaminoans...I think..." He trailed off, realising that he was starting to rant.

Looking back at the small lightsaber in Ayva's hand, he perked back up,"I've not used it very much...mainly only with one blade active,I'm...well, I mean I think i'm decent...."

A warm smile would touch her face in her attempt to calm Grees.

She's speak slowly and deliberately expressly to counter his own speech. "It is not that this is not allowed, it is more that we dissuade young ones from hurting themselves.

And you should know that even 15 standard years is hardly old enough for such things. It is wise of you to refrain from doing so though. However, I would very much like to see what you have learned and are capable of with the blade."
With that she handed him the blade, her palm facing up and the hilt hovering steadily above it. She would let him give in to his urges, but the lessons would thus begin promptly.

Once he took it, she would stand, extending to her full 7 feet 2 inches and move to the side of the room, up against the wall. The room was quite small and she wanted to give him the room that was allowed by the limited space.

Grees jumped to his feet and took the blade eagerly, snapping one of the blades on with a snap-hiss of green light. After waiting a moment for the Kaminoan to get clear, he opened himself to the Force, though with his abilities, it wasn't the most steady of connections, and leapt into an offensive pattern, dancing his way across the room, combining basic forms of slashes and blocks with a few acrobatic moves, ducking, dodging, leaping his way across the small room, cutting a path through a swarm of imaginary enemies.

He activated the second blade of the saber and spun around, facing his new master in a low defensive stance, a broad grin on his face. "I don't use the second blade much...yet, anyway."

An 'eyebrow' would raise at what was seemingly a challenge. This rabbit was cute, and his aggression only made him cuter. She smirked at him, but would oblige.

In a flash she'd be upon him with Star Rise, her viridian blade. Several strikes would be made at him, mostly to his head, shoulders and arms as he was so short. If he jumped, she'd exploit any openings that might present themselves, and if there weren't any she'd work at tangling up his sabers. The reach of her 5 foot blade was far beyond his own, so though she was in range of him, he wouldn't be able to reach unless he got a bit closer, which she wasn't about to allow just yet.

About 8 strikes would be done at the squib, finishing with a shiak at his head. She'd then disengage and step back, out of her range, and thus well out of his. She'd chuckle and wait for his response to this.

Grees was quite shocked to register the large Kaminoan streaking towards him, and raised his leftmost blade upwards just in time to block the first strike.

He stumbled. It felt akin to being hit by a freight train. Swinging the blade around to block the second of the strikes aimed at his head, he knew full well that he was trapped, and any attempt to jump free would end badly. Instead, he chose the only real option available to him: He dived forward, aiming between his master's long legs, twirling the saber above his head partly as an attempt to block any more attacks and partly in an attempt to score a hit on his opponents legs as he passed between them.

That was the idea anyway...

Even before he would reach where her legs were she was 20 feet in the air. "Good!" she'd tell him as she floated by.

Not only did she see him physically prepare for this, but she sensed it as well.

She'd land about 20 feet behind him and would wait. His weapons were obviously made for attack, and she would allow him such an opportunity. For now at least.

((don't mean to make her overpowered... that's just what would happen...))

Springing to his feet after the unsuscessful attack, and noticed the Master a good 20 feet from where she had last been. He hadn't even felt her move.

Deactivating his saber with a sign, he kneeled onto his knees, smiling. "A good Jedi is supposed to know when he is beaten."

"A good Jedi knows when not to fight," she corrected him in an expectant tone.

"As well, a good Jedi does not give up. Even so, your attacker will not stop just because you believe you are beaten." With that, she charged him faster than before.

He was energetic and headstrong, but determined. She'd push this on him.

Similar as before she'd flick her blade at him. It would seem random; going from his right shoulder, to the left side of his neck, then a sweep at his abdomen from right to left. A stab at his left shoulder into a shiim strike at his right one. This required but subtle twists of her wrist and turns of her hand. Little would move in terms of her arm, though her feet would be seen as a blur as she moved around him, trying to secure an opening or trip him up.

She certainly wasn't going to harm him, but she wasn't going to allow him to give up either. She wanted the doubt to leave him. She would not allow such feelings and thoughts to pervade and pervert his mind.

Grees almost missed the movment that sent his master across the room towards him.

Activating one blade of his saber, he raised it to block in a standard upward stroke, making his arm go numb with the effort. This was why he shouldn't get in conflicts like this, he reminded hismelf.

Using his legs, curled under the rest of his body, as leverage, he pushed up and back from Ayva, deflecting her attacks as best he could, but this too failed as he tripped backwards over one of the Kaminoan's long feet.

Fortunatley, inexperienced as Grees was, he was still nimble. Taking the momentum of falling backwards, he simply kept going, turning what could have been a disaster into a moment of respite for him. Adopting a ready stance once more, he charged for his master, bringing the ignited blade around over his head for a sideways slash at around her waist height, triggering the second blade into existince midway through the move. Hopefully, it would surprise her, and there wouldn't be enough time for Ayva to block the second blade as it followed the path of the first.

((IF that made any sense....and sorry if i'm getting close to rule breaking, i'm not too good with fights...yet!))

A good attempt, she had to admit. But it would take much more than a simple trakata trick to get her.

Indeed, she saw the maneuver well before he even performed it.

She simply disregarded the first blade and blocked the second. He was quite close, far too close for her comfort, but allowed him there for a moment. She push off of that blade in such a way as to make the other swing at her, but by that time she would already be out of his range with a strike coming down at his head. She, of course, would not harm him unduly, leaving just a burn if she made contact.

After the strike she would take a few steps back to gain distance, if he allowed it.

Grees really didn't have a chance to block the downward stroke, not after he had been knocked off balance by the unexpected blocking of his second attack. He had been foolish to think that a Master like Ayva could be caught by such a simple trick.

He felt the fur between his ears singe, and ducked, at least missing the serious burn that the blade could have been, and propelled himself backwards, adopting yet another ready position and trying vainly to find some way in which he had an advantage over the Kaminoan...

She was getting rather tired of his games, his defensive preference, or simply his fear or disinterest in attacking her. She didn't care for it. He needed to do something. As well, his weapon of choice was not well suited in this endeavor. She'd get him to show her what he could do on the offensive.

There would be only a short pause between the contact she made and his getting into a ready position. Because of his short stature, her attacks would be mainly at his head and shoulders, thus she wouldn't be able to utilize her more random strikes that would normally work to create openings.

She'd work with what she was given, however, and strike faster, and a touch more strength, at the left side of his head, then his left shoulder, then into a slash from his right to left, ending in a stab at his neck. This time, however, she wouldn't disengage; rather she would see how he'd react.
