Age: 16 / Height: 5'6 / Species: Nekomimi / Tribe: B'la Light Tribe, known for being unfriendly to other species.

Whistling loudly, Rayla summoned four small creatures from the darkness of the forest. They appeared to resemble wolves with wings, yet they were semi translucent and as white as super-heated metal. With short, smokey trails, they softly glided from behind bushes and trees, and one by one, stopped above the nekomimi girl who bore all of the typical traits of her race.

As a subspecies of dark elves, most of the nekomimi were born with blue hair that ranged widely in the color. Ralya's head was dawned with lighter blue hair, often referred to as star blue within her tribe, and it sprawled over her shoulders, reflecting the glow of the creatures around her.

Earlier in that night, Ralya's promised herself that before the sun rose she'd find the creature she and her master were looking for. This was their second night of tracking it, and she wanted to go home.

"Lets get this over with already," she said with a mumble and an annoyed flick of her feline ears. Her face twisted into a frown at the same time and she continued to trek forward, over bumpy, hard roots and through a narrow path in the thick woods.

Ralya lifted her arms up and flicked her hands back with some frustration. Her movement and magical connection to the summoned creatures alerted them to what the small nekomimi wanted. All four of the light creatures dispersed, one in each cardinal direction.

The air was thick with the smell of damp as the air cooled with the night, mildew forming on the grass and leaves. It was a beautiful night, too bad he was out this deep in the forest for other reasons. On one knee Thorin was staring down at ground,a spear in one hand resting on his shoulder as his hand fingers tracing over the animal track before him. It was mostly things he expected deer, boer, some wolves but there was one he didn’t recognise.

"What do you think Rafe?" he said, turning his head to look back to be greeted with the face of a wolf that just finished licking his nose to then approach him and lick his pale face. "thank you for your input" he would say as he ruffled the fur around Rafe’s neck as the wolf panted in contentment. Pushing off the ground with his spear he stood and began following the trail, Rafe in tow.

A beast had been terrorising the local villagers or least thats what he was told by them but their descriptions didn’t seem to match. This would have been he and his fathers job but he had been ill for the past year now, so it fell to thorin to deal with as the only other ranger in these local parts.

A voice in the distance prompted Rayla's feline ears to perk up. Her icy blue eyes focused on the direction the sound came from. With the soft swooshing of air running through fur, her black tipped, fluffy neon blue tail flicked side to side in anticipation of what she might find ahead. GIVE ME! she thought with adolescent glee and wonder.

As the small nekomimi girl prowled forward, towards the sound, the harmless wisps she summoned to help her search began to turn back towards her and regather. The closer the whisps got to her, the more translucent they became, until they could barely be seen as they floated eerily around her.

CRUNCH

A VERY ANNOYING crunching sound came from underfoot, forcing Rayla to look down at the pile of old leaves she'd stepped into, "Ugh," she grunted. Lately it seemed like EVERY TIME she tried to sneak up on someone she forgot to look at the ground. SO ANNOYING!

Curse it all then, Rayla thought to herself, springing into a run. Her strides brought her towards a male human-like figure. Without much thought, she plucked her bow from her back, aiming an arrow with it towards the figure in the distance. "HEY! What's an ugly human doing on our land!?" she shouted towards him, taking the risk of assuming it was a human and not some sub human species.
