A talk between friends

Upon hearing Kyo'Dhii's question, Veronica lets out an audible sigh. She lets go of the controls, and stands up to face him. With a face of pain. She eventually begins saying "I'm looking for a Hutt. He got busted for owning slaves about six years ago, but somehow he got away. I'll tell you the details later, right now i'd much rather have you tell me about that sword of yours. specifically it's appearance, the last place you had and where you think it is."

"Almost a year ago now, I was the captain of a pirate vessel: the King's Modesty. I'd been tipped off by another captain, a Togorian by the name of Andulste, that one of my stronger rivals was going to be raiding an imperial stockade. When I showed up, no one was there. The Imperials ripped right through my fleet, and out of the chaos, Andulste emerged with his own fleet. With my men and the Imperials focused on each other, we were left vulnerable. Andulste was able to keep both forces at bay, while he raided the stockade for himself, nearly doubling the size of his fleet."

"After the Imperials finished off me and my men, they were too weak to stop Andulste and the escaped prisoners from boarding and stealing their vessels. By the time Imperial reinforcements showed up, Andulste was gone and I'd been captured. I lost my blade during the fighting aboard one of the Imperial command ships. It's hard to say who ended up taking it. All I know is it wasn't among my belongings when I was released."

"Could be a greedy Imperial, but I'd put my on Andulste. If he thought I was dead, he'd want it as a trophy."

 

[DaBomb]

"I'd doubt it was an Imperial." They have to go trough a lot of regulation and document signing to take someone's property or a trophy." Not saying it wasn't them though." I think we should focus on this Andulste." To me it sounds like you have a bone to pick with him, and i'd be happy to help, you enact your vengeance upon him." And honestly, I wouldn't mind killing a pirate and takin' his booty." And even if he doesn't have your blade, we have ourselves a pirateship and a pirate crew, with you as their captain." Veronica stands while tapping the wall, deep in thought. "Sound good?"

 

[Cinderella]

Kyo'Dhii laughed at the thought of the two of them taking Andulste's fleet. "Sure, it sounds great. If you've got a plan to take out an entire pirate fleet with just two of us." Kyo'Dhii turned to follow Veronica's movements, leaning back on the wall across from her. "Andulste and I have a complicated relationship, but we've always been friends... to some extent of the word. He'd probably let us right aboard his ship and we could talk to him. Knowing Andulste, he might even give my sword back once he finds out I'm alive, assuming he has it that is. Though I imagine he'd want to play with me a bit first."

 

[DaBomb]

"We wouldn't take out the ENTIRE fleet, just the captain. But if you're such good friends with, I guess we can talk with him." Veronica says with a pout. "But if you want some extra help, I do have a friend who's specialty is making deals with people." Veronica says with a grin.

 

[Cinderella]

"Who's that?" Kyo'Dhii asks, interested.

 

[DaBomb]

"Shahmak Jemeihl, but she prefers shah." She is a Miraluka contractor, who's specialty is making deals with people." If you're interested, I could give her a call." Veronica says with a sly smile.

 

[Cinderella]

"Sounds like a plan. Once we're back on Korriban, you talk to this... dealmaker of yours and I'll look for a crew. Pirates are like wolves, they won't show you much respect if you don't have a pack of your own, and the Empire is a pretty big pack."

 

[DaBomb]

"Sounds like a plan." Veronica confirms, she then hops back in the cockpit, ready to take off. "Korriban here we come!" Veronica initiates lightspeed, and they go super fast!

The ship begins to slow down once they get close to Korriban. "Any specific place you want to land?" Veronica asks.

 

[Cinderella]

"Doesn't matter to me," Kyo'Dhii answered. "I'm drifting with you for now." After a moment, Kyo'Dhii reconsidered. "You think they'll let me into the academy with you? I've been trying to get inside to study, I'd be interested to dig around in the libraries there." The ancient Sith temples fascinated Kyo'Dhii. They reminded him of the monastery on Trogan, but so much larger and older.

"I'm not sure, weren't you in an imperial prison? If so, that'll probably hurt your chances." "But, I've already graduated from the academy, I spent 8 years there getting a degree in engineering, mechanics, and computer software. So, technically I am an Imperial officer." "But who knows they may just let you in, with a recommendation from little ol' me." Veronica sarcastically points at herself. "Speaking of which, what do you plan on doing after the sword retrievin', Hutt killin' quest we're on? I personally plan to make my own war products manufacturing company after I get a little bit of money." Do you got anything special? Veronica looks at him with curious eyes.

Hologram! Planet Unknown Season Unknown ​ Incoming....incoming....incoming.....connected! suddenly and without warning a flicker of light flashed onto a nearby terminal and inside of it. A simple looking woman (hard to tell) wearing a hardy and thick light brown set of robes. A smile on her face, her clothing hard to tell aside from her shoes which were a simple pair of sandal like leather shoes. In her hand was nothing more than a small glass cup filled with amber like fluid although it was hard to tell akin to herself. She began to speak in a soft - harmonic and quite relaxed voice. It seems you have need of a third party? and with that she lifted the glass to her lips, and took a soft sip. Slightly breaching the surface with a now freshly painted set of green lipstick. She kept the smile the entire time. Her face wasn't visible besides her lips although that gave very little as the glass was pulled away and placed back in the same spot she had it before. Let me know something, I'm always open for business and with that the screen fickered and she suddenly vanished.

 

[Cinderella]

The hologram had surprised Kyo'Dhii just as he had been about to speak. Was this the contact Veronica had spoke of? How could she possibly have known that they were considering her for assistance? Of course, it could have been intended for whomever previously used the shuttle, they had stolen it after all. After the message cut out, Kyo'Dhii turned to Veronica perplexed.

"If that's the woman you were talking about," he started. "We're certainly in good hands, but I don't like the feeling I got from that hologram. Call me paranoid."

Veronica grins "Yeah, she'll do that for ya..." So what were you about to say?"

 

[Cinderella]

"Well," Kyo'Dhii started over, shaking off the strange hologram. "When I said the academy, I didn't mean the Imperial Academy, and I'm definitely not interested in enrolling." Kyo'Dhii continued with a laugh. "I meant the Sith Academy, where the acolytes go to train. I'm interested in the philosophy and history; the place must be rich with old archives. Not to mention having the opportunity to see Sith code practiced in its place of origin." Kyo'Dhii found himself lost in an academic fantasy, showing his true colors as a student of the world around him. Seeing him this way, one would never suspect that the man had been a pirate.

 

[DaBomb]

"Well that depends on one thing. Are you force sensitive?" Veronica asks. "Because if you aren't you have ZERO chance of being a Sith."

 

[Cinderella]

"No," Kyo'Dhii said laughing and shaking his head. "You misunderstand me again. I apologize for not being clearer. I'm not interested in becoming a Sith, I just want access to the Academy. I've been denied access for that very reason, but I've seen other Sith bring non-Sith into the temple with them. All I need is a token of permission to enter on my own, but until now I haven't been able to prove any affiliation with the Sith, simply because I haven't had any. I could kill for it, but no knowledge is worth cold-blooded murder. Besides that, I'm not interested in fending off a lightsaber with my nothing but hands."

"Oh, You just want to read some books?" I guess you can do that." There's a couple of Sith temples. Is there a preference in one you want to got to?" Veronica says with a curious face.
