A Tatical Decision (Sailo Inc and Invite Only)

Hart smiled broadly,"Very good Sir. Alright boys lets get ready to rumble!"

About thirty minutes later the convoy arrived by Sailo's Fleet. Contact was made and after the convoy was ready Zechs' ship and the convoy left directly to the system the suppplies were needed while the other two Sailo ships left to a nearbye system as per Zechs' plan.

As the convoy and Zech's ship arrived, a large carrier arrived which had large fighter bays and several big guns. The carrier sent a signal to Zechs' ship very quickly.

A man about middle aged and 5'9" appeared on screen. "Sir, I say leave this system and give us the convoy or you will pay the price of death. Leave or die."

 

[PaRRoT]

Rios smiled at Jamiro, "Well then, I guess I didn't hear anything, wouldn't want to compromise our 'secret' associate." He gave Jamiro a wink to show he was joking, "Hey kid, hows your weapons skills?"

"Eh, not bad," Jamiro shrugged, and jumped as the convoy landed nearby "Well, I guess that's our cue." With that he nodded his good bye to Rios and hurried to the ships, which had left shortly after.

He was later found watching the screen where the man appeared warning them to leave or die. "Hey Salem? You might wanna come here. Seems we've got a 'visitor' with a message for you," the Balosar called out, and just studied the screen, not wanting to make any moves without the leader's consent... unlesss of course Salem asked him to, or took to long...

Zechs simply sat in his command chair watching the man attempting to intimidate him into surrendering the convoy. "You clearly believe that your ship and crew outmatch my forces. However, I believe that you have not taken into account the entire situation. I am therefore offering you this one chance to surrender your vessel and turn yourselves in to the proper authorities. If you refuse I will be forced to enact a citizen's arrest on you and your entire crew while killing any who strongly oppose." While he spoke he made eye contact with one of his crew members by the comm display and then made eye contact with the man at tactical. That was so the man at tactical would begin to feed tactical data so the comm officer could send all tactical data on the enemy to the other Sailo ships, and until he gave the order they would onto the data so that the enemy would never see it coming.

"No it is you who do not realize that you can't win. I will never take and offer for surrender. You will never be able to kill us all." The man motioned off the camera and the gun systems began to point towards Zech's ship. With that two fighter squadrons exited and made a small fighter screen between the two ships. "Now do you want to hand over the convoy?"

((Can someone describe to me the physical description of the scene? I am a bit lost on that portion.))

((A small fleet of lightly armed and armored vessels are attempting to get to a mining colony with supplies. A cruiser sized vessel with a few starfighter squadrons has now attempted to capture the vessels but I am using my corvette to stop the enemy pirates. The other 2 Sailo corvettes are now at the edge of the system waiting for my command to help.))

Two fight squadrons. Zechs had anticipated more, but if this was all the enemy would deploy then he would engage them. He then made a slight gesture with his right hand and off screen his tactical officer nodded. He then sent all tactical data to the comm officer who upon receiving the data used a direct beam transmission to send the data to one Sailo corvette. Since it was not a standard transmission and only a direct beam one it was near impossible for his enemy to know that there had been a transmission at all much less what was on it.

He honestly wondered if his opponent understood that the corvette Zechs was currently using could cut through the fighters with ease and avoid most fire from the larger ship. That was of course irrelevant as one of the other Sailo ships dropped out of hyperspace to the starboard flank of the pirate vessel well out of it's weapons range. However, since the corvette used almost entirely missiles for it's weapon not only was the pirate vessel within range but so were the fighters, and the ship made immediate use of them firing off an entire salvo of cluster proximity warheads at the fighter squdrons. With no prior warning an the tactical data already in the ships targeting computers the fighters stood almost no chance as the salvo raised through space towards them.

The fighters immediantly moved and swerved out of the way and only 4 of the ships were hit. "You underestimate my fighters' skill and that of me." He motioned again and two more fighter squadrons pulled out of the hangar bays. The fighters all went to Zechs' ship while the cruiser went towards the other corvette. Since Zechs' was mainly anti-ship and the other Corvette was almost useless against a ship the pirates were almost garanteed victory from this battle. "You should have taken the deal."

Salem was on Zechs' ship when he felt a bump. "Everyone move to the dropships! MOVE MOVE MOVE!" Salem turned and ran to the hangar where most of them were landed. "Get your space suits on asap and hurry up." Salem got his weapons ready and in seconds the dropship was full then sped out of the hangar followed by several others.

Once the missiles exploded in space and sent shrapnel flying throughout the area the communication with the pirate ship cut. Even though twenty of the original fighters still remained and another two squadrons had just been launched Zechs remained calm in his command chair. "Bring us around to face the enemy ship and put us down 5 degrees. Also order the corvette being charged to fire it's plasma torpedos. Then once they have hit the enemy shp to unleash several volleys of proton rockets. That should be sufficient to disable the warship."

"I would advise against launching the drop ships so early, Salem," spoke up L, speaking through a private communication speaker. "It is too early to determine the combative ability of the enemy fighters."

Through different video ports, L was watching the scenario unfold, analyzing the fight from a safe distance away. Of course, he could always pull out his communications and wipe them clean enough that he could not be tracked...

The ships attacking Zech was a mixed kind and several had bombardment weapons fixed to them and as they came in began to shoot damaging Zech's ship though not very badly but it could be a problem. But the other ship shot off the proton missles and some hit the Cruiser but not bad enough. Soon the cruiser shot at the corvette and disabled some of the missle pods. Zechs' ship could let the corvette be destroyed or send in reinforcments.


Salem heard L's advice. "Well half these guys need some proper troops to attack. I am sure Zechs can stop the fighters long enough for us to board the cruiser and take it over." Salem knew some would be lost but knew that those who survived were ready for alot. "Anyways some of them need this."

"I am simply offering advice. You know your men better than I do," was the reply.

((Fioch we are on a corvette. Corvettes do not have hangers so we would have no drops ships. Also plasma torpedos are designed to drop an enemy's shield and proton rockets are one of the most powerful ship-to-ship weapons. In fact wookipedia says "Pound for pound, proton rockets may be the most destructive weapon available, possessing a blast rating of three hundred and fifty BLS. Exceptionally powerful, a single rocket could take out an Assault Transport or Escort shuttle, while two could take out a Corellian Corvette. "))

((I have not yet had my corvette use it's weapons. I had intended to shunt power from weapons to engines after the large explosions temporarily blinded the sensors on the cruiser and move my corvette close enough for a cold jump onto the cruiser. Then I will try to get the cruisers attention so the other corvette can jump in and ambush the corvette with it's own marines.))

Maybe PM that idea to me before you RP it so I know what you are doing. Otherwise it get's all jumbled up.
