Coruscant, the crown of the galaxy, and home to billions of people, it was a big place, and while he had been there years before to help Nara, he hadn't really stopped to enjoy the sights. Nara had been busy with Jedi things, whatever such things entailed, and he was busy trying to get himself in a better spot and healthier. He had taken to doing his shots and a few breathing techniques that Nara would constantly text him about. He could never admit it, but she was good for him, and helped him to slowly regain control of his life and build an identity that didn't resort around his sickness.

He saved up the credits he gained from jobs, and had just enough credits to get the two of them a nice hotel that overlooked the skyline. With all the hectic nature of the Order and the news about her Master's troubles concerned the young man, he needed her to know that he was there for her. They would enjoy a simple romantic weekend getaway and would eventually go back to their different walks of life.

But, when she picked him up, he couldn't help, but feel a signature or some sort of strange feeling run across him, though he had no knowledge on what it could be. Instead, he would let her jump the coordinates into hyperspace, he'd watch her with his own eyes, a soft smile on his face. "You know..you look amazing when you're behind the wheel." If only he knew how many times she had crashed this damn thing.

Nara watched as the ship blasted through hyperspace, the navigational computer blinked with Coruscant's coordinates. Nothing to do now but wait, and hope that the ship didn't short out. Or crash out. Or... y'know, anything. She reached over and tapped on a couple of buttons, making sure everything was levelled out.

The compliment made her smirk. She kept her attention on the controls but she blushed a little. "Duh. I look amazing all the time," she teased, finally looking back at him with a bit of a grin. It'd probably been way too long since they'd seen each other properly. Messages and vidcalls were nice but... she liked being around him. A whole weekend, just to themselves. No quarantined, disease-ridden patients. No psycopathic war droids. No raiders or cultists or scumbag slicers or... well, there were probably plenty of them on Coruscant but Nara would not have to care for a whole two or three days.

She didn't have to be Nara the Jedi, righter of wrongs, helper of the needy. She could just be, y'know, nineteen.

"You don't look so bad yourself," Nara admitted, winking at him. She was wearing a casual jacket, hanging open over her shoulders. A branded top, down to some dark trousers. She'd specifically packed things that'd make her not look like a Jedi. Even her saber was in her bag, along with her blaster. There if she needed it, but honestly, she knew she wouldn't need to.

The Condor dropped out of hyperspace above Coruscant, the glittering city-world right in front of them. The shipping lanes were busy around the ship as she guided it towards the planet, tapping in the coordinates to their docking station. Goodbye cramped cabin, hello actual-ass hotel bed and sheets and ugggggh I'm gonna eat everythiiiiiing.

Rynn took a deep breath as he took a good look at Nara, a wide toothy smile forming on his face. His brown hair was stylized in a messy fashion, and he wore a simple heavy jacket with a nice patterned shirt underneath with a pair of khaki colored cargo pants which had been tucked into his boots. He felt naked without his armor, but he wasn't going to walk around the city in that, Nara would never let him live it down if he tried to.

"Me, looking good?" He'd point towards himself with a laugh, "I'm glad you think so," he'd say in a low tone as he slid out of his seat and towards the captain's seat, his left hand running against her pale cheeks as he gave her a tender kiss. His right would slide into her own as he pulled away from the kiss, "Where do you want to go first? This is your weekend Vod."

"Hey hey hey, I'm trying to land," Nara complained, but it stopped as he slipped into the seat next to her. She shifted uncomfortably, letting him slip in as she felt scooched and pressed into the side of the seat. Kissing him felt too good. They cut through the atmosphere of Coruscant, down towards the landing port.

"Hmm, my weekend, eh?"
she asked, smiling with the possibility. "I'm looking forward to actual good food and a bed that isn't in a dorm room. Being somewhere that isn't a jungle also helps a bunch, lemme tell ya," she said happily. As the ship sailed down closer to the ground, the thrusters shaking the ship, she guided it carefully into the docking bay, hearing the incessant, useless chatter of the ground control.

"Yeah yeah, we getcha, we're in," she eventually said, tapping the button to communicate. She rolled her eyes to Rynn as she stood up, grabbing her bag.

"Hotel, eat, then... I dunno. Take in the sights? Wander around somewhere without being shot at? The Opera?" she joked.

Rynn snickered as he pulled himself up from the seat, "What would you know about the food..I thought it was good at your temple, all fresh food and produce?" He'd grumble as he slid a hand over her bags with a huff, by the force woman, what do you pack in these things. He'd only packed maybe another pair of clothes if he was lucky, but he wouldn't let Nara know that. "You think you have it so bad, try having to eat only when no one is around, pretty kriffin' difficult," he'd sigh, "And stupid instant ready meals, I need some grub bad."

The two of them would make their way towards the hotel lobby, where several fancy super speeders dotted the front entrance. The two kids would make their way into the hotel, getting looks from several of the patrons and staff workers. "Here to check in for a room, it should be under Rynn Itera..."

The Pantoran behind the counter would raise a brow as he peered towards the two of them, "I believe you have the wrong hotel."

"We don't...I would know, I booked the darn thing," he'd cough a bit as he felt his blood pressure rise. He would practically lean onto the counter as he tried to peer towards the terminal station.

"I suppose you're correct, my apologizes sir..." The man would turn to hand them keys, as he shook his head. "We do not tolerate noise complaints I should have you know," he'd call out as the two of them made their way towards the elevator. Maybe the Mandalorian had overdone it, but he wouldn't let her know that he may have blown two years worth of credit savings for this trip.

"Yeah but it's all... y'know, attempting to be healthy. And they use as much planet-side food as they can grow. The cooks are good but you can only do so much with jungle produce. I just want the biggest, largest, most stupidly decadent dessert they have and I'm gonna die happy..." Nara sighed as she stepped out of the ship with Rynn, breathing in the air. Freshness mixed with people and city and machines.

Ahhh just like home.

They stepped into the hotel and Nara looked around, seriously impressed. Jeez. This is something. Didn't look like their kinda place at all. Like, expensive. The kinda credits that she'd never had before. It was good though, right? Getting spoiled, just for a weekend? If this place has a giant bath it can cost whatever it wants.

Her feelings about not fitting in quickly dissipated when the guy at the desk gave them both that look. Nara stared back, instantly letting those feelings slip away. Now she knew she belonged there. Just to spite him, she'd belong there. She offered the Pantoran a smile that dripped with poison as she held Rynn's hand, walking with him to the elevator. When the guy gave them a warning, Nara rolled her eyes and turned around as they walked.

"Oh, what a shame. And here was me planning to start that hardcore rock band in my hotel room," she dead-panned, giving him a bratty teenage look that could curdle milk.

Inside the elevator, Nara smiled at Rynn. "Don't let him get to you. Snooty bootlicker," she complained, looking around at the gilded metalwork and burnished, polished everything. "Jeez Rynn, you sure you can afford this place? I could probably buy half of Nar Shaddaa for all this. I could buy the Jedi Temple for what it must cost to stay here..." she wondered, getting the weird, mixed feelings of being happily spoiled and slightly nervous at just how many credits were being spent here holy moly. She didn't want to break her boyfriend's bank on their first romantic vacation together.

"You know I'm still really willing to split the bill."

"I heard that eating burgers and clogger fries is good for my condition," he'd chuckle at his own stupid joke a bit before falling into a bit of a cough. He was feeling a lot better, but he still had his days, but Nara was always there for him when he needed it the most. He would lean slightly into the girl as she asked if he could afford it.

Truth be told he put a lean on his own starship to afford this trip, but it was her weekend, and I guess his birthday. But, he knew she'd strangle him is he admitted how much credits he spent. "Well, when you're a big time bounty hunter credits are nothing to you," the kid would huff, his face clearly had never adapted to lying--oh the drawbacks of always wearing a helmet.

"Don't worry about it, it's your weekend hun," he'd say as he opened the door to their penthouse suite which looked out over the city, with marble flooring and a sleek modern design. "Besides, people were telling me that it was my birthday and I should do something fun.." He'd shrug as he threw the bags onto the bed, turning back to Nara. "What do you say, could you get used to this kind of living?" A wide grin would form on his face.

"Big time bounty hunter? Ooooo," she teased, rolling her eyes a little bit. "Lemme know when he gets here, I might wanna upgrade," she told him, poking him in the side as the elevator doors opened and... the city looked back at her.

Nara stepped inside wordlessly, her boots tapping on the marble floor as she just took everything in. The views. The large suite. The furniture. The separate bedroom, just through a set of double-doors. A few things buzzed past the window, looking out over the busy capital of the Galaxy.

I totally don't belong here. I live in a monastery on a muddy, jungle planet. I grew up in the scummiest part of the scummiest world in the whole Galaxy. And now I'm here in a room fit for like... a King. Or someone super, super rich.

"No seriously how did you afford th..."
she started saying as his last statement filtered through her brain and she came to a realisation. "Wait, it's your birthday?!" she said, staring right at him. Her bag dropped out of her hand, smacking on the marble floor loudly. "It's your BIRTHDAY?! Why didn't you tell me you.... if I'd have known I woulda got something for you, jeez man," she said, somehow turning the fact that she didn't have anything for him into his fault.

"C'mon I'm your girlfriend, you have to tell me your birthday, it's Galactic law. The Rangers'll come and arrest you." She grinned at him, swatting his arm. "Well, we gotta do something special. Fancy meal and everything, that's important." She thought about the state of her own credit balance. It'd strain to afford something super expensive. "Or maybe just like, fancy burgers. Small portion."

The Mandalorian would grunt, crossing his arms as he saw Nara turn towards him, why the hell did she care about his birthday? They meant nothing to the Mandalorian, and if anything it brought him more anxiety. He wanted to prove himself more capable and he realized that there was only a few more years left in his peak before he would steadily decline, and well his health could grow worse.

When you were busy trying to survive day by day, things like birthday's meant little to Rynn, it was all about making it to the next day, which could have very well been his last. But, she had a point and he felt some regret about not telling her. "Look, I'm sorry," he'd sigh, "It was just something I didn't really care about," he'd move to sweep a bit of her hair, tucking it behind her ear. She had a way with words that he seemed to always keep him moving.

"Burgers..I could go for some, but the big meaty kind, none of those..uh sliders," he'd grunt, "I've got credits," no he didn't, but she wouldn't know that. "So do you want to eat or catch a sight of some museum--she didn't really strike him as that type, but you never knew.

Nara pouted slightly, a strange look on a girl that was known more for her angry glares and various different forms of shouting. But being around Rynn was different. He made her feel calmer, happier. Made her feel less like an idiot running around the galaxy, putting out fires and getting annoyed at people.

"Yeah but, I care about it. Because I care about you, Rynn. And birthdays are important so I'm paying for your burger." It'd be a start and she'd figure something out. Some kind of gift she could get him while they were out there. "Why don't we just head out and see what happens? And no museums. I don't care about the history of the Galaxy. I don't care what Chancellor Fat-Face of the Republic said to whichever Minister of Trade before the Great Bull-crap War, I just want to have fun."

After dumping their bags in their frankly ridiculous suite, Nara and Rynn headed out. Or rather, Nara dragged him out, right past the snooty desk guy and into the streets of Coruscant. It took them a little while of walking, arm in arm, but Nara found them a place that didn't look fancy that was selling burgers. The smell of it set her stomach rumbling.

She paid. It was for the best. She didn't have many credits but she could afford some food, at least. As she passed Rynn his, they found a spot overlooking a collection of parks, with the buzz and hub-bub of the sky-traffic around them. Nara watched it all with glee, nibbling at her food.

"If you settled down..." she started saying, just thinking aloud, "do you think it'd be a place like this? Or somewhere quieter?" She took another bite and then looked at Rynn quickly. "I mean, that wasn't a suggestion or anything. Just curious, y'know?"

Rynn would run his rough hands against her cheeks as she gave a pout, he hated to see her sad, and it wasn't really his intention on not telling her, he just never thought it was that important. She made him so happy, and without her his life would have been ruined and he was grateful for his little wizard.

He'd plant a kiss on her forehead before pulling away, allowing himself to be dragged. The city was gigantic in the daytime, and the air seemed cleaner on the upper levels, when compared to the slums and darkness of below. It was peaceful, and the Mandalorian enjoyed holding hands and pointing towards the various weird towers, often laughing at the idea of some poor labor droid cleaning the top windows.

It was a simple day, but he was enjoying it all, and the smell of burgers were too much to pass up. "You didn't have to buy me one," he'd say in a soft tone as he took a seat. He'd raise a brow at her question, his burger hiding the smile that formed across his tanned cheeks. "Me vod?" He'd pull himself a bit closer to Nara, "I don't mind the city, but I wouldn't mind having a small homestead on some forested planet. Just a little corner off to myself," he'd rest his head against her shoulder, "You?"

"You got me a massive penthouse for the weekend, the least I can do is buy you a burger, Rynn," she told him, in a voice that'd accept no further argument about it. She took a further bite, listening to his answer before wiping her lips clean. The last thing she wanted to do was look a messy idiot in front of her boyfriend. Thinking over her answer as she looked around.

"I dunno, honestly. I mean, it's nice and everything but it's super loud. And it's just so... shiny," she said, like it somehow a bad thing to look like that. At least Nar Shaddaa is honest about what you're getting into. "Besides, can you imagine trying to find a decent house or apartment here? I'm never gonna have that many credits. Jedi aren't exactly famed for their riches." She scrunched up the wrapper and tossed it, giving a little fist pump when it landed in the trash compactor.

"Don't know if I'm suited for anything like, rural either. Every time I go anywhere outside the temple on Ajan Kloss, I usually end up covered in something or bitten by sixteen different kinds of insect," she shared, putting her arm around him and resting her head on his. Just watching everything and everyone go by. "Trouble is, every planet I visit is usually in the middle of a war, or an epidemic, or recovering from some natural disaster. Not the best time to look around for real estate."

That made her think of something else too. "So... bounty hunting for good, then? You keeping it up?" she asked. She'd never really broached the subject of his career before. Aside from the arguments when they'd first met, of course.

"Alright..alright..alright..forget about the burger," he'd grin a bit. He'd take a few bites of his burger, placing it down as he leaned back against the park bench. It was pretty cool for the day, and the synthetic trees and grass was a nice change of pace compared to the industrial buildings he was normally used to going through.

He listened to her response, a soft sigh escaping his lips. She's a stubborn wizard, I'll give her that..But, where the kriff is she going to live? "So big city is a no, and rural backwater planet is a no...what's that leave--your ship?" He'd ask with some reluctance. His face turning visibly red at the thought, "I..well," he'd shift his wording, "Well, do you have somewhere you want to live..I mean, not with me or anything," he'd say with a bit of a wheeze and a cough.

"The galaxy is a big place, and with this..Sith return stuff, well..I assume war is only going to get worse for the galaxy.." He'd say in a gentle tone as he felt her wrap her around him, her head resting against his own. "War is always going to happen, it doesn't mean you can't rest a little..I care about you Nara, and I want to make a life with you..whatever that means."

He'd pause though as she asked about his career, "Ah..it's alright," he'd say pushing the subject aside, "It's mostly headaches and low time credit jobs, the big stuff is in the Bounty Hunter's guild.." He'd say with some yearning to his words, "To be honest, you're doing far better than I am..Your Dad..I mean Master, he contacted me and told me you're a Knight.." He'd plant a kiss against her forehead, "A Knight-Wizard or Wizard-Knight..Anyways..I got you something for your big promotion..and I mean if it's stupid, I get it..and you don't have to use it."

He would pull his backpack open, revealing a durasteel box, which he opened to reveal a freshly plated durasteel chest piece, and a pair of forearms and shin guard protectors. The markings of his signet were on the chest. "I would like you to be a part of my Clan...and I figured, you'd need something to wear out there.--a Knight needs a shining set of armor. I'm proud of the woman you're becoming Narr." He hoped she liked the gift.
