A Trip to Seal Our Fate

[Prudence]

Prudii descended the ladder first, reaching the bottom, and turning to approach Ryan. He was halfway down the ramp when Val hit the bulkhead behind him and began moving quickly towards him. A fluid motion drew his long vibroblade and had it swinging at the older man. Prudii blocked with his vibroblade but Val was relentless. Releasing with one hand he drew his other vibrosword, fitted to allow him to use two blades at a time. He began dancing towards Prudii, his hard strikes digging scars into Prudii's gauntlets. He backed up, past Ryan, and continued losing ground to Val.

Prudii clenched his teeth as the attacks kept rolling in. He had fought with Val many times. Having run away together for his training Prudii had taught the boy everything he knew about fighting. He'd seen Val take lives of entire squadrons of men before, but this was new, this was nothing he had witnessed. Whenever they fought, Val always held back, he never aimed to kill Prudii, only to maim him, only to hurt him. This was new, there was an animalistic instinct to Val's blows and moves. He was going for the kill, he was hunting Prudii. Prudii took another step back, and that was his last. Val extended an arm partially and the older man flew backwards, hitting the ground in a thump and a pile of armor. This gave Prudii a few dear seconds to snap his EE-3 up and fire off burst after burst at Val. If the boy wanted a kill shot, Prudii would give it to him. He scurried backwards as he did so. The attack had been unpredicted and that was what caught him off guard.

 

[Commissar Brett]

Ryan had seen enough. Prudii had been ambushed by the younger man, and despite their earlier spat, he was a friend. Ryan jogged after the two fighters. Prudii was on the ground now, pouring fire around Val. He knew Prudii could land a kill shot and take the boy down, but he wasn't. A shot glancing off the shoulder plate, one off the chest plate, one barely missing an exposed area, he didn't want to kill the boy. He was being sentimental. Ryan reached Val who was so absorbed in pushing towards Prudii through the fire he didn't see the incoming soldier. A fist swinging in caught val in the armored head and knocked him to the ground.

"ENOUGH!" Ryan shouted.

"What the bloody hell is going on that you need to fucking kill each other?!" He shouted, his rifle snapped up and drawn on Val.

Val started to rise and Ryan placed a shot by his head, impacting the bulkhead "I've issued a security override here, no security personnel will be responding, despite the blasterfire. Now frakking explain all of this or I swear to the karking force, the manda, and to anything else I can, I will end BOTH of you!"

 

[Prudence]

Val was the first one to reply, "My mother. He abandoned her, bleeding out in her apartment. Didn't even bother to try to treat her. HE LEFT HER ALONE. TO DIE. " The pain was obvious in his voice, that this touched deep.

Prudii nodded "I did. I got you and me out. She had a burn completely through her abdomen and I didn't have a surgical unit. She was dead. I don't know how she survived, but it was a fucking miracle. I raised you. "

Val shook his head "If that's what you call it." He raised his hands to indicate he was no threat and stood. He slowly slid his blades back into their sheaths, and turned to walk away.

Prudii stood too and nodded at Ryan "Thank you." He turned and left a bewildered Ryan Jacen standing there.

Alecks had been located in Daedalus for a while now, after meeting with Prudii he was given the order to arrive at this location, so he waited....

He had begun to get accustomed to the environment of the gray zone. False neutrality created an uneasy peace around the area, and just when it seemed like nothing was actually going to happen it did. Every day Alecks would make trips to the KES recruition station hoping to find action; these days mostly ended unsuccessful. But on this particular day things were different.

My patience is running thin...​

"I know mine too", he exclaimed to himself. His second half was getting of tired of waiting; more and more trips to the cantina just to keep his psyche from breaking. He knew that he better find action soon or HE may take control.... As Alecks was arriving towards the station today, he noticed prudii exiting the station with others following. Maybe this is my chance, He thought as he quickened his pace. He followed them towards the KES area and noticed as they entered the newly armored guards.

After showing the required credentials he entered in towards the hanger area. The sight he found himself to was amazing. Prudii looked rather shaken; he stood by two others who all looked uneasy towards each other. "Hello Prudii glad to see you are alright. How is everything going?"

Be ready....​

you feel it too? He couldn't help but notice the signs that a fight had broken out and from the look of it it may still be going on....

 

[Prudence]

Prudii heard his name called by a fairly unfamiliar name. Swinging around he evaluated the man and remembered him. It had been one of his and Mia's recruits. He tried to pull himself into a mask of calm. All he had to do was watch his voice and his posture, as the rest was covered by armor. However, those two were hard to do right now. His shoulders sagged and his voice was strained. "As good as can be expected. I don't know if you've watched the news rollout, we got attacked." He turned and began walking away, heading for a hatchway that would take him deeper into Hell's Nightmare. "We're moving to a new world. You'll be seeing that for yourself very soon."

Jasko approached Vestar, back from his jaunt to Daedalus.

"Sir, we've cleaned all facilities on the DSC station. All of our assets have been assembled. Essentials, and anything with unremovable branding, have been moved to your command ship. The rest are in the hands of several of our plainclothes assets. They will be offloaded at auctions within the day."

Trane nodded "Good.... All is going according to my plan." he turned to the nav officer "Take us to Imynusoph, Lieutenant."

Prudii nodded "I'll keep that in mind." He paused for a moment "Talk to a requisitions officer. They should be able to provide you with some." The man was making an extra effort to befriend Kyramud, and it was strange to him. No one, besides Mia, had ever put that much effort into him.
